About: I’ve grown up with pets and, as an adult, my home has always been filled with dogs. Caring for them has never felt like a task ... it’s simply part of everyday life for me. Alongside this, I’ve spent many years working as a teacher, which has shaped a calm, patient, and consistent approach to care. I’m used to maintaining routines, reading behaviour carefully, and creating environments where others feel safe, settled, and supported ... skills that translate naturally to looking after dogs in my home. I offer calm, attentive care in a relaxed home environment, treating every dog as an individual and settling them in at their own pace. My approach is gentle, patient, and routine-focused, which helps dogs feel comfortable while you're away. I currently share a home with our 2-year-old dog, Lula, who is friendly, and used to welcoming other dogs into the house. I only host a small number of dogs at a time so each one gets plenty of attention, supervision, and quiet space when needed. I’m home for much of the day and have a flexible schedule, which means dogs are rarely left alone and routines can be maintained consistently. My availability is increasing, allowing me to offer attentive, reliable care throughout the week. My home offers a safe and calm environment, with a fully fenced garden for outdoor time and play. I'm also just steps away from peaceful walking paths and local parks, allowing for relaxed, regular walks without the need for busy roads or travel.
“This was our third time having Emma care for our cats while we went on holiday, and she did a wonderful job. She's a great communicator, takes lots of lovely photos, and clearly tends to our pets very well during her visits.”

About: Experienced dog owner providing loving, reliable care including walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention. I treat every dog like family. Your dog comes first! I am a friendly uni student with a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and giving your dog lots of love and attention! 🙃 As a lifelong dog lover, I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for every dog in my care. I spend time walking, playing, cuddling, and giving lots of attention, making sure your dog feels happy, comfortable, and secure. I follow all your instructions for feeding, medications, and routines, and treat every dog like part of my family.
“Very grateful they were around to check in on my dogs! Both dogs are anxious in their own ways and I usually have a long list of instructions which Josh happily followed. He made sure they stayed cool in the heat and kept them entertained. Thank you ☺️”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and genuinely love caring for them. I have lived with dogs since I was a child but moved out of my family home in November 2025. My friends and family trust me to walk, feed, and look after their pets and I do so often. I’m patient, responsible, and make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable and happy. I work full time as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. I work from home 4 days a week and have alternate Mondays off work which allows me to provide plenty of attention, regular walks and consistent care throughout the day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a spacious, fully fenced driveway that is secure and free from hazards, giving your dog plenty of room to move and play safely. While I don’t have a garden, your dog will still have a safe outdoor area for supervised exercise. I ensure the space is clean, well maintained, and monitored throughout the day. Inside, your dog will have a comfortable environment with plenty of attention and care. Dogs are never left unattended outdoors, and I provide plenty of interaction, walks, and mental stimulation throughout their stay.
“Ed is a delight to deal with, confidence inspiring and delivered the goods. We came back to a happy Cat in a tidy and clean house, and a little welcome back note. Ed will get first refusal on all our cat sitting needs from now on!”

About: Hi! I’m Chloe 👋🐾 I’m a massive animal lover and have a little zoo of my own with two dogs and a cat, so I completely understand how stressful it can be trying to find someone you actually trust to look after your pets. I’m definitely that pet owner. The one who leaves unnecessarily detailed instructions, checks their phone for updates and wants to know whether everyone has eaten, had a wee and is generally living their best life 😂 So when I’m looking after someone else’s animals, I treat them exactly how I’d want mine treated. I’m comfortable with different personalities too. Whether you’ve got a dog who wants to walk for miles, one who would rather spend the afternoon snoozing, a nervous little soul who needs some patience, or a cat who will spend the first three visits judging me from across the room, I’m happy to work at their pace. I can help with dog walking, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, cuddles, keeping them company and sticking to their normal routine as closely as possible. I know even small things like feeding times, favourite toys and the usual walking route can make a big difference when their owner isn’t there. You’ll also get updates from me because I know what it’s like being on the other side wondering whether your pet is okay. Expect photos, little updates and probably a running commentary of what they’ve been up to. If your dog has done something ridiculous, you will absolutely be hearing about it 😂 Having my own pets means I know they aren’t “just animals”. They’re part of the family, and trusting somebody with them (and often trusting that person in your home too) is a big deal. I’d always want you to feel completely comfortable with me before leaving your pets in my care. Basically, if you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, down-to-earth and slightly obsessed with animals, I’d love to meet you and your furry family. 🐶🐱❤️ And yes… I will probably become emotionally attached to your pet after approximately one visit. 😂 I work full time but also take my dog to work where they have a large studio space to run around which I could also take your dog. Otherwise I can work from home a lot so easy for me to work around that. I have a very large fenced garden for London so they can spend lots of time outside. Also welcome on the sofas (or not if you dont want that)
About: I have 2 years of hands-on pet care experience and I also own my own dog, so I truly understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I completed a year of dog grooming, which has given me experience handling dogs safely and confidently. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making every walk safe, fun, and tailored to your pup’s needs. I have two years of hands‑on pet care experience and I’m also a dog owner myself, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’ve completed a year of dog grooming training, giving me experience with safe handling, brushing, bathing, drying, nail care, and keeping dogs calm during routine care. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making every walk safe, fun, and tailored to your dog’s needs. Safety is always my top priority — I read body language carefully, follow your instructions, and make sure every dog feels secure and comfortable. (All Dog Daycare is provided in your home)

I follow each dog’s routine closely—mealtimes, walks, medications, and preferences—so they feel right at home. In the owner’s home, I take a respectful and responsible approach, ensuring pets remain comfortable in their own space with minimal disruption to their routine. I maintain a clean, calm, and caring environment, keeping to feeding schedules, daily walks, playtime, and any special care instructions provided. I treat each home with the utmost care and every pet as if they were my own. No matter the setting, I aim to provide pets with a safe, loving experience—and give owners total peace of mind.

About: Hi I’m Hannah👋 I have extensive experience with dogs. I previously owned my gorgeous staffy Charlie who I sadly lost last December. He was my absolute world and I would love another dog in time when I am ready, but in the meantime I would love to help and look after other people pets! I have experience mostly with medium to large dogs including staffies, golden retrievers, XL bully’s, hounds and more! I am an animal lover and I will treat your dog like my own, making sure they are happy and comfortable, and I love dog cuddles! Happy for you to message with any questions. I WFH and have a very flexible job which is why I am able to offer pet sitting, drop ins and walks. I work full time but work from home 9 days a fortnight (only in the office one day a fortnight). My employer is extremely flexible which means I can ensure your pets needs are fully met. I do not currently have a dog of my own, which is why I have joined rover as I can offer my love and care to other peoples dogs! I do not have children and I am happy to do longer stays if you are staying away. I would rather pet sit at your home as I feel this may be more relaxing for your pet, however I would be open to them staying at my home after a visit if this is what you prefer. When house sitting, I provide attentive, personalised pet care that ensure your dog feels happy and comfortable. I am a very clean and neat person (I used to do cleaning as a second job) so will leave your house just as clean and tidy as you left it!
About: We are owners of 11 year old little Yorkshire terrier and 2 year old Bichon Frise. Dogs in our family were always treated as official parts of our family and always spoiled to the moon and back. We've have had and older German shepherd but unfortunately had to put him down because of his sickness, that caused a big hole in our hearts. Our little Yorkshire is a friendly, polite doggy with a little body but massive heart ❤ and little Bichon is treating him as an older brother If anything is unclear or you want to ask something, just send us a message. I’ll be glad to answer and assist you whenever needed. 😊
“This is the second time Marie has looked after Romeo when we are away. Romeo obviously likes her and she is really great with him. She always let's us know how he is and sends great photos. I would highly recommend Marie to anyone who needs there pet looked after.”

Additionally, I have work experience in part-time dog walking whilst I was at university and volunteered at a dog kennel where I cared, groomed and walked multiple dogs. I am a 24 year old recent graduate, currently based in huntingdon whilst I work as a freelance photographer/digital marketer. I am a diligent, clean and constantly caring pet owner that respects all animals whilst catering to their individual needs, including their: dietary requirements, walking schedule and toilet breaks.
“William does drop in visits for my 2 year old Miniature Dachshund, for 3 days every week. Williams’s communication is outstanding, updating me after each visit and ensuring Kit is happy whilst I’m at work. I would recommend William to anyone and everyone looking for pet care.”

Emma has been absolutely exceptional with looking after my Arnie. She squeezed us in at very short notice after I was let down by someone else, and has been an absolute superstar. Emma sends detailed reports and pictures, and goes out of her way to make sure your animals are happy and cared for. I will recommend Emma to anyone looking for a pet sitter, and will absolutely be contacting Emma first for any and all future trips. Emma thank you so, so much xx
Demi was fantastic with Loki and Rocket. She was really communicative throughout, kept us updated, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were being well looked after. We’d happily book her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!

Gvantsa was absolutely amazing and really went above and beyond to look after our fur babies. She was very reliable and easy to communicate. She would send us loads of photos everyday and would communicate if any adjustments were needed. It was our first time leaving home for an extended period and we felt relieved about the level of care our cats received and would definitely rebook with her again

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Huntingdonshire pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Huntingdonshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
