“We couldn’t be happier with the care Alicja gave Oscar while we were away! He absolutely adored her and was clearly very content during her visits. Alicja took the time to meet us and Oscar beforehand, which was a lovely personal touch. Throughout our trip, she sent daily updates and plenty of photos, keeping us reassured and in the loop. Nothing was ever too much, she even kindly watered our greenhouse each time she came by. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Alicja for any future holidays or bookings. Thank you again for looking after our boy so wonderfully!”

“Our cat was fed and happy when we got back and we got plenty of lovely piccies showing she was doing well while we were away. Philippa and David also happily rescued a parcel for us that the postie left out in the rain! Thanks so much you guys :)”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, i have grown up with them from a young girl and enjoyed every aspect of what they bring to life. The playing, walks, even conversation’s. Any dog I look after I build a friendship with. I am familiar with training techniques and tools but ideally aim for a dog to have the best time. I have a home where I can offer your pet a good sized garden with plenty of toys, a home where they are free to roam and treat it like their own. I currently work from home so I have time to look after my own Labrador and would to help people look after there’s too. I understand all to well how difficult it can be to balance work, life, pets, children etc. even if you just fancy a day out with you’re dog being looked after. I walk my labrador 3 times a day and we take many different scenic walks, or sometimes a play in the garden and a run. I have a good sized garden, which backs on to fields and surrounding by walls. I am in a quiet location where you can be assured they will be relaxed. I am able to crate/seperate some dogs if necessary. I can also travel to the owners home for drop ins, walks, plays or just some company

My partner, Max H., also on Rover, works with me on all bookings. I’m available during the week anytime as I work part time for myself currently and so am flexible with my time and we can take on last minute bookings. I care for my Sproodle Fudge, he’s nine years old. Through my childhood I’ve grown up with Afghan hounds and appreciate the love and care dogs require. As an ex nurse, I do not have any concerns about giving medications or looking after the safety of your pets.
“First time we have used the Rover app for looking after our two cats and couldn’t recommend Oscar enough. Loved getting photos while we were away. I think Theo was gutted when we got home!”

“Thank you Hannah for looking after Barney today. He loved his walk and having some company - and seemed much happier that he’d had someone to see him while we were out. An absolute pleasure to talk too. Great communication and clearly loves animals. We’d love to have you back very soon. Highly recommended!”

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Fenland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
