“Rahkee has been so patient and lovely with our dog who has special requirements due to being rehomed after a traumatic situation. He's a sweet boy but needs to go really slow getting to know people and Rahkee totally understands having had rescues of her own. It's going better than we ever hoped and he trusts and likes her. He's very big and quite young so if someone wasn't this intuitive and kind, or didn't follow our behaviourist instructions this wouldn't work. But we are hopeful. We are so lucky we met on Rover”

“Harry was my first Rover booking. He accepted a very short notice booking quickly. He suggested and managed to squeeze in a pre booking visit. I hadn’t thought this was possible. I really appreciated this as it meant I was totally relaxed when I was out as I felt I had the measure of him and he had the measure of the dogs. They clearly liked him! He was calm, kimd and professional. All went without a hitch. A great job and I’ll happily book him again.”

“My cat, Lanei, was in very safe hands. I appreciated the daily updates and photos and will definitely be asking Julie to look after Lanei in the future. Thank you Julie - I’ve returned home to a happy and healthy cat”

I have my own Labrador, who is always looking for a new friend to play with and run around a field or two with :)

“Emma has been amazing. It's so reassuring to know our little furry friends have had company and been well loved whilst we were away. We had frequent updates throughout the evening, with lovely photos to put our minds at ease. We would highly recommend and think Emma has been amazing!”

About: Hi there, I'm Clare, a working professional who adores animals. I have grown up with pets around the house since the day I was born and have lots of experience with both dogs and cats. Sadly, my lovely lab (Poppy) passed away last year (at 16 years old!) and life has never been the same. I'm now looking to love and look after doggies in the Cheltenham area whilst their mums and dads are away or at work. In order to provide the love and attention that your fur-kids deserve, I only take one booking at a time for pet-sitting. I understand that leaving pets behind can be daunting, so I send regular updates and photos of them enjoying every day to put your mind at ease I have a flexible working pattern and am able to work from home on most days. I do not work on weekends. Please get in touch regarding availability as I will always try to accommodate. I am able to provide pet-sitting, drop-ins and walks and understand the importance of good company, stimulation, exercise and cuddles for a happy, healthy doggy. I live in a ground floor flat that is lovely, comfortable and spacious for your pets. There is a safe, enclosed garden attached to the apartment. There are plenty of nearby options for plenty of lovely walks and regular toilet trips. I will never walk your dog off-lead, unless you advise that you are comfortable with this.

“Albert had a fantastic walk with Lewis, who took him for a long trip at lunch with his partner and their dog Rocky. Albert has since slept all afternoon and is looking forward to his next adventure! I would highly recommend Lewis.”

About: Hi there! Thanks for considering me to look after your pets! To help you decide whether I’d be right for you, here is some background information: I live with my Partner Dave who helps with all the bookings that I get. We are very comfortable with walking and playing with dogs, feeding them and understanding when they need something. With two of us it’s also much easier to make sure your animals are properly cared for (especially with bookings of more than one). We live in a terraced house where we have access to a small but fully enclosed garden. We then have access to plenty of dog parks where we live for a long walk off leash (if comfortable to let them off). We will often also go up to Leckhampton hill/ Cleeve hill for a good run around. I’ve created an Instagram account so that you can keep up with your puppies adventures whilst you are away! Search on Instagram to make sure you don’t miss out on any pictures! - natalie_rover Please note I am currently on maternity leave with our newest member of the family - Evelyn. Any pets we have in our home must be comfortable and known to be safe with babies / young children. Being on maternity leave does however mean I do not need to travel into an office, so I am available at home with your pups. Any pets in our home will be cared for in the same way I’d care for my own. They will have plenty of cuddles and play times and we will make sure we listen to any instructions that you provide us during a meet and greet. I love dog photography as well, so if you want me to take some photos of your pets let me know! Some example photos on my profile.

About: I have had dogs in my family home all my life, I’m caring, confident and patient with all types of fury friends and looking to ‘fill the void’ part time by coming on this app and seeing if I can help anyone out I currently work from home 3 days a week with two days required at the office which can be flexible on days that I’m needed at home I have a fenced garden with a stream that is accessible on my property for the hot days with a private walking area in my village

About: Since I was born, cats have been apart of my family, from Ginger Toms, Maine Coons’s , Tabby’s, Moggy’s, to Tonkinese. I’m also a member of the Cats Protection Agency Stroud branch. I work 8-4 Monday - Friday but have weekends free on a regular basis. Evening drop ins can work for me in some situations also. I have a big garden area and outdoor space with my ground floor apartment away from any busy roads amongst a quiet area in Cirencester.

About: While I don’t have a dog of my own (my perfect cat wouldn’t approve!), I absolutely adore dogs and love spending time with them. After recently losing one of my beloved cats, I’ve felt a strong pull to give back by helping others and making their fur babies feel happy, loved, and cared for. I really enjoy walking and being outdoors, and I’d be more than happy to offer drop-in visits as well. I’ve had experience walking and checking in on dogs for friends—especially during Covid, when I supported a friend who was classed as vulnerable. I always take the time to understand each dog’s personality and needs, whether that’s a fun, energetic walk or just some calm companionship and care at home. You can count on me to treat your dog as if they were my own—with kindness, attention, and lots of affection. I currently work full time however I work a 9 day fortnight which means I have availability every other Friday plus weekends. I could also offer some other times during the week for check ins/walks if it fits with my working schedule or a day I work from home. I would take advice from you as the owner as the best way to keep your fur baby safe. I would not take them off lead until they have began to trust me and their recall is good. Depending on location I may be required to use my vehicle however if you do not feel comfortable with this, I will ensure I find a local walk to your home.

About: I have over 30 years of experience with animals having grown up with dogs, cats and horses. I am a dog lover and even worked at Battersea Dogs Home for 3 years in my 20s! I have always had dogs in my life and currently we have a beautiful 3 year old Fox Red Labrador called Margot. Your dog will feel welcome and at home with plenty of stimulation or a quiet space if required. My husband and I are remote workers, working from home during the week. We have flexibility to ensure your dog is happy and well cared for throughout their stay with us. Our family dog (Margot) is walked twice a day (morning and late afternoon/early evening). There is a large garden for lunchtime play and mooching! Your dog will feel happy and at home in our family routine. We have a large garden and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We are lucky to have the Bathurst Estate as well as the Churn Valley on our door step for lots of country walks. We have two children who have grown up with dogs so they are very respectful and calm. Plus a very charming and patient female Labrador for company. Margot is very respectful of other dogs, playful if there is a playful dog in the house but equally knows when to back off and be calm when required. Every dog has different needs so I will be guided by the dog owner on routine, feeding, walks, sleeping arrangements etc. This will form part of our meet and greet session.

I have experience giving medication and dealing with difficult behaviours including pulling on the lead and am happy to discuss and work with what is best for your pet. I currently work part-time and in term time only so am available on certain times during the week and any time during the school holidays. I also have some availability on weekends and can be flexible depending on your needs. Please just message me to discuss availability! Clare D.
“Clare would make an excellent dog sitter, having grown up with her own dog, which gave her years of hands-on experience in caring for pets. She developed a deep understanding of dogs’ needs from a young age and knows how to create a calm and nurturing environment for them. Clare is responsible, attentive, and truly loves animals. She enjoys being active, so dogs in her care can look forward to plenty of walks and playtime. Pet owners can trust Clare to treat their dogs with the same love and care she gave to her own.”

“Your fur baby is in the best possible hands with Natalie. She absolutely adores dogs and spoiled mine totally. I left my baby in the best possible hands and would book Natalie over and over again. She takes all the separation guilt away. Thank you so much Natalie, glad I found you!”
