About: I currently live in Belfast City Centre. I’ve looked after my own dogs for over 20 years. I have the most experience with small and medium dogs of all ages. My own little Westie Honey lived until she was 18 years old and I looked after her in her old age when she went deaf and blind and had a series of strokes. I have experience in feeding, bathing, walking, cleaning up after and entertaining both large and small dogs. I have just finished my maternity cover contract with my work place and would like to focus on pet setting as my main source of income at the moment, so I am fully flexible to help out with your pet needs. I live in a 5th floor apartment so it is unlikely I will be able to take pets into my own home long term, unless there are special circumstances that require it. I am fully willing to visit your home multiple times per day when you are unable to be at home with your pets. I am also able to stay in your home over night if you require. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions for me!
About: I’ve had my Golden Retriever Wrigley for 4.5 years and he’s my best friend! I’ve taken care of friends dogs in the past and love going on big walks and playing games in the garden! I work from home some days during the week and available most weekends! Usually go out for two walks a day and would love Wrigley to have some company! I have a fully secure back garden with a fence and gate that is locked. Have grass and a large space to play catch in.
“Finding a reliable and trustworthy pet sitter was crucial for me. 🐾 Luckily, I stumbled upon Sarah and I couldn't be happier with their assistance! 🙌 Not only do they take amazing care of my fur baby, but they also send me adorable photo updates throughout the day. 📸 It's such a relief to know my Luca🧸 in good hands while I'm away. ❤️ If you're in need of a pet sitter, I highly recommend Sarah without a second thought. Trust me, your furry friends will thank you! Luca love you Sarah♥️”

“My partner and I were visiting Belfast for the day and needed a one-off daycare sitter for our dog, Max. Lisa was absolutely lovely and very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Her place was easy to find and she has a fully enclosed garden, which gave us great peace of mind. Most importantly, Max had a fantastic time! Lisa is very much a dog person and was comfortable with Max’s big bark. We’d definitely recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a caring dog sitter.”

“Daisy is wonderful! Rex absolutely adored spending the day with her. She sends loads of pics and updates of what they got up to. We felt so comfortable leaving Rex with Daisy and would recommend her to anyone 😊”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was six years old, when I named my first dog—Bones, a sweet lurcher I adored. I’ve always had a passion for loving, nurturing, and gently training dogs of all ages. I’ve cared for several medium-sized dogs, and many of my friends trust me to walk their dogs or look after them during short-term stays. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’m committed to giving every dog the same patience, care, and kindness. As a final-year university student who also works part-time, my schedule is very flexible. I’m often available during the day, as well as most evenings and weekends. This allows me to easily fit pet care into my routine and give each dog plenty of attention and consistency. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure, and I’m happy to take them for walks anywhere you prefer. I understand that every dog is unique, with their own routines, needs, and personalities. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely and will accommodate any preferences to ensure your dog receives the best possible care. My priority is keeping your pet safe, happy, and relaxed—and giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I am well educated. I know about different pet breeds, their specific physical needs and their nutritional needs. I am aware of animal resources in my community such as vet clinics, pet stores, pet-friendly parks. Pet care integrates into a daily or weekly routine by incorporating feeding, exercise, grooming, and playtime into established activities. This can include morning walks, meal times, and even breaks during work for some attention and interaction with the pet. Pet care, whether in my home or the pet owner's home, involves providing basic needs like food, water, shelter, and exercise, as well as ensuring their health and safety. The specific services offered would influence the level of care provided, such as walking, playtime, feeding, and even overnight stays. I have a secured backyard.
“We were nervous about leaving Missy for the first time but we had nothing to worry about, she looks like she had a great time and spoiled!lol Thanks so much Isla she will definitely be back x”

About: Having dogs and cats since I was 6 years old. I love animals and care for them. In the last few months I took care of a rusell, a beagle and a beautiful cat. I'm usually available from Monday to Friday mostly for day care, walking and drop in visits. I may be available on weekends too for boarding depending on the dates In my home, I make sure they have a comfy space, regular exercise, playtime, and lots of attention, keeping them part of the daily routine. I stick to their regular schedule as closely as possible, making sure they feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. Either way, I prioritize keeping them happy, healthy, and loved. I make sure they always have the leash on when walking them.

About: Experienced in various fields within the doggy industry. I have been dog walking for the past three years. I have dabbled aswell with dog training but not professionally. I myself own a Rhodesian ridgeback. I work full time as a dog walker and sitter so I am available at all hours of the day to cater to your pets' needs. “I would highly recommend Anastacia - she is super responsive, has lots of experience, and sent me lots of pics of TJ which gave me peace of mind leaving him for the first time. Thanks so much again!”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up with both cats and dogs, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I also volunteer at an animal shelter, where I help look after animals with different personalities, needs and backgrounds. I’m patient, caring and happy to take the time to help each pet feel comfortable and safe. Most importantly, I treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, affection and reassurance. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine, as I only work part-time two days a week from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. This gives me plenty of free time throughout the week for visits, feeding, playtime, walks and keeping pets company. On the days I work, I am still available in the afternoons and evenings, and I can be flexible around each pet’s usual routine. I always make safety and comfort my main priority. In my home, pets have access to a secure, fully fenced garden and a calm, welcoming environment. I also have a friendly grey Russian Blue cat called Wally. He is used to other animals, has a gentle nature and usually spends much of his time outdoors. Any introductions would always be done slowly and supervised to make sure every pet feels comfortable. When caring for pets in their own home, I carefully follow the owner’s instructions and keep to the pet’s normal feeding, walking and sleeping routine. I make sure doors, gates and windows are secure, keep the home tidy and provide regular updates so owners can feel confident that their pet is safe, happy and well cared for.
“Helped us out at short notice & couldn't have been happier! Emma was brilliant & kept us up to date during the day. Collected a very happy pup & would happily recommend 10/10”

About: I’m a Canadian law student at Queen’s University Belfast and a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. From energetic puppies and curious kittens to senior pets, small animals, and those with special behavioral needs, I adapt to each pet’s personality and routine. I pride myself on being reliable, caring, and attentive, making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while in my care. As a student with a very flexible schedule, I have plenty of gaps between classes and free time on weekends, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my daily routine. This flexibility allows me to reliably provide walks, visits, and care at times that work best for both you and your pet. When caring for pets in their owner’s home, I always focus on keeping them comfortable and maintaining their normal routine. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully for feeding, walking, playtime, and any special needs, while also giving plenty of attention and affection. I make sure pets feel safe and cared for in their familiar environment, and I treat every home with the same respect and responsibility as I would my own.

Lisa is amazing and has looked after Saffi well. She genuinely loves dogs and Saffi seemed very happy and content in her company. We booked Lisa for a one-off arrangement so we could visit the Titanic Museum and other attractions whilst on holiday in Belfast. Lisa kindly agreed to look after Saffi for us which meant we were able to visit places without worrying. Thank you so much Lisa.

Helen is absolutely amazing and had a lovely manner with our puppy. Unfortunately it didn't work out due to other reasons but would highly recommend to others. I got loads of pictures and updates and safe to say my pip was absolutely exhausted when we brought her home.

Caitlin is totally brilliant. She is such a caring person and just loved having Charles. I was visiting Belfast for a conference and needed daytime care. Nervous Charles relaxed straight away in her home, enjoying playing with toys or just being chilled out. He was relaxed because Caitlin is so warm and friendly, a complete natural with dogs. She was great at keeping me updated, providing many photos of Charles, and I even got a vido too. We were frequently in touch about logistics and she is so helpful, even giving tips for the visitor to the city. I found it really easy to get to and from the town centre where the conference was and it all the handovers were handled efficiently. Nervous doggie-dad was reassured! Charles loved it and I even thought he wanted to stay longer. I very much recommend Caitlin and only wish is that I could have her look after Charles again soon. It will have to wait for my next visit to Belfast. Thank you, Caitlin!

Kathryn was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Super friendly and you can just tell how much she loves dogs. Our boy Indie had a great time and her Goldie Dolly is an absolute sweetheart too. Kathryn provided us with regular updates and photos which was reassuring as it was our boy Indies first time (at the ripe old age of 10) going to doggy day care. Couldn't recommend Kathryn enough. Absolute superstar

We have had such a fantastic experience with Beth and Aisling. Our pup Mac was only 4 months old when we first contacted Beth and Aisling. We were invited to a meet and greet and we instantly felt welcomed by them. Mac has had 2 full days (into the evening) with Beth and Aisling which we required for family events. They have taken such great care of Mac and I would highly recommend them!

I honestly can’t recommend this dog daycare enough! Mylo is a very anxious little dog and usually hates being away from me, so I’m always nervous leaving him anywhere. But from the moment he arrived, he completely surprised me - he bonded straight away and was so settled and comfortable. It really felt like a true home from home. When I picked him up, I could instantly tell he’d had a great day, he was happy, calm, well-rested, and clearly had some nice walks too! I’ll definitely be booking again, thank you so much for making this such a positive experience for both of us 💛

Mac's first time in doggy day care and I was a little nervous. Daisy was absolutely marvellous, Mac was always so excited when he saw Daisy. She sent daily updates and took him on several adventures. Cannot fault Daisy in any way, would not hesitate to leave Mac with her again.
Ronan has taken amazing care of our very active puppy Grace. She is always delighted to see Ronan and comes home happy, exercised but not exhausted. She has terrorized every other person who has watched her, no matter their experience with dogs. Thank you Ronan for being so good with our wee Grace!

Dave was a super dog sitter - Max was really well looked after. Dave was attentive and made sure he knew everything about Maxs needs to make sure he was 💯 settled. Dave was very warm and friendly too! Dave sent lots of photos so we could see how content was. Highly recommend Dave!! Thanks

My Marlo is very timid and a nervous dog. However meeting Nicola she made him feel at ease and us too! She wanted pet names and routine to help her connect to Marlo. We left him a few hours and we received pictures and messages to ease our mind. Marlo looked content. Looking forward to next week so Marlo can connect more with Nicola Tysm ❤️ xxx

Huge thank you to Niall for watching Maya today. It’s not always easy finding someone comfortable with a large breed, but they handled my dog with such ease and confidence. I received several photos during the day and Niall was very quick to reply when I messaged which really put my mind at ease. Maya came home happy and content and I’m sure would love to go back and spend some more time with Niall and Nelly!

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions

- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
