I work from home three days a week, and Henrique is at home full time, so there is almost always someone in the house throughout the day. This means your dog will have plenty of company, supervision and attention rather than being left alone for long periods.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and trust are very important to us when caring for any dog. In our home, we have a fully fenced, private yard where dogs can enjoy secure outdoor time, always supervised. Inside, we provide a calm, clean and comfortable environment where they can settle in and feel at home. There will always be someone at home with your dog, so they’ll have constant company and won’t be left alone for long periods. We provide regular walks tailored to your dog’s needs, along with plenty of attention and care. If we’re caring for your dog in your home, we will respect your space and follow your dog’s usual routine closely to keep them happy and comfortable.

Information Niall S. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your dog, we’d love to know about their routine, personality and any specific needs. Please let us know about feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medical conditions, medication or allergies, as well as any behavioural quirks or triggers. The more we understand about your dog, the better we can make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well cared for while they’re with us.

A typical day

We genuinely love spending quality time with the dogs we care for, so there will always be plenty of fun built into their day. Depending on their personality and energy levels, this can include interactive play, games in the garden, enrichment activities and, of course, lots of cuddles and attention. We live close to Ormeau Park, so regular walks there will definitely be part of the routine. It’s a great space for dogs to stretch their legs, explore and enjoy some fresh air. At weekends, we enjoy going out for breakfast or lunch and would love to explore more dog-friendly cafés in Belfast. If your dog is comfortable in those settings, they’re very welcome to join us for a relaxed outing. Most importantly, we tailor activities to each dog — whether they prefer adventure and social time or cosy afternoons at home, we’re happy to provide what suits them best.

Pet care experience

Henrique and I have both grown up in homes where there has always been a dog as part of the family and we have always been involved in caring for them – from daily walks and feeding to grooming, training and, of course, plenty of playtime and cuddles. Having a dog around has never just been about having a pet for us; it’s about the joy that a dog brings into everyday life! We recently moved to Belfast and, while we’re settling in and enjoying exploring our new surroundings, we really miss having a dog at home. Dog sitting feels like the perfect way for us to share our love of dogs, give them the attention and care they deserve, and at the same time fill that dog-shaped gap in our home. We are responsible, patient and genuinely enjoy spending time outdoors, so whether your dog loves long walks, cosy evenings on the sofa, or a mix of both, we’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and well looked after while you’re away.

I can’t say enough good things about Niall and Henrique. Great communication that put me at ease straightaway, my dogs were very relaxed with them. Will definitely be using them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Yoda had a great overnight stay with Niall and Henrique. As soon as we arrived into their house, i I was pretty much invisible and Yoda was very content in their company. Photos of walks and naps show that he was very happy and relaxed in their presence and he was in great spirits when I collected him the next day. He's looking forward to his next stay!

We cant thank Niall and Henrique enough for taking such good care of our miniature schnauzers Winston and Zach. We were so nervous leaving them as they have never stayed with anyone but family before and we know they can be very barky!! Lol From the initial meet and greet we knew the boys would be very well cared for and loved like their own. Winston and Zach even pulled on the lead to get into their house as we dropped them off! Niall and Henrique were very responsive, sent regular updates and photos/videos and the boys looked like they were having the time of their lives. We cant recommend these guys enough and we will definitely be using them again in the future. Thank yous so much!

Winston stayed with Niall and Henrique for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. Winston has some behavioural issues which need carefully managed and also takes medication. These were no problem for Niall and Henrique and they sent us regular pupdates of how Winston was doing. I’d highly recommend their services and will be rebooking in the future.
