Hi, my name is Dave 👋 I live just off the Ormeau Road and I’ve been running a doggy daycare for 6 years! I also spent 4 years volunteering with the WSPCA (a local dog charity down home), which gave me hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments - from bouncy puppies to sleepy seniors. We cared for a lot of rescue dogs and worked on getting them back on their paws and re-homed with new families 🐕 Whether your pup is shy, playful, or full of energy, I take the time to get to know them and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away 🤗

Ben & Daisy were so well looked after by Dave. He took time to get to know their personalities and their quirks and they were so settled and happy in his care. Ben, in particular, can be nervous with new people but he loved Dave. When I went to collect them, Ben actually followed Dave back into the house! And we really appreciated the photos and the communication during their stay. Would highly recommend Dave to anyone with dogs who can be anxious or nervous. Thank you!!

Schedule
I work from home, which means your dog will get plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. Between work calls and study breaks (I’m currently doing a master’s for my sins 🐶📚), I love having a furry friend around for walks and play breaks in the yard. I can adapt their exercise schedule depending on their individual needs. Typically if they were with me for 24 hours, we’d have a 45 min walk in both the morning and evening along with two shorter 5/10 minute walks throughout the day to let them do their business. For off-leash dogs, if I’m confident they have good recall and I feel we’ve bonded enough for them to come back to me, I’d sub in some time to play fetch or just let them do their daily zoomies. I’m around most weekdays and weekends, so whether you need regular daytime care or weekend sitting, I’ve got you covered!

Your pup’s safety is my top priority. My home is a secure, dog-friendly space where they can relax and explore. The fully fenced backyard space is perfect for safe outdoor time, even for the most clever escape artists! I always keep a close eye on the dogs in my care, follow your routine as closely as possible, and make sure they feel right at home.
A typical day
We’ll start (and end) the day with a nice long walk, then enjoy some playtime and plenty of cuddle breaks throughout the day. We have a fully walled-around backyard space where your pup can stretch their legs, sniff around, or sunbathe in the 3 seconds of sun we're likely to get in Belfast. I’ll make sure they always have fresh water available, follow your food schedule as directed, and that they’ll have plenty of opportunities to relieve themselves. If your dog is more active, I’m happy to take them along for a jog or a longer walk. Just let me know their energy level, and I’ll tailor our activities to suit them. And of course, you’ll get regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pup is having the best time. 🐕✨
