Doggy Day Care in Truro

About: We have owned and cared for dogs and cats for our entire lives. Friends and family joyfully leave their fur babies with us for day and overnight stays on a regular basis. We very much enjoy taking pups for walks through town, woods and the beach. We're happy to walk your dog in the environment that's best for them. We work from home as an artist and artisan and are available to provide constant monitoring and supervision for pets under our care. We generally offer services from November-May. My home has plenty of space to give your pet quiet solo time if desired. I currently have a 2.5 year old female lab mix who absolutely loves dogs and cats alike as well as a cat who really enjoys watching dogs (he has his own space on the second floor if dogs and cats need/want to be separated). We typically do a morning, afternoon and evening walk that is 1-2 miles long, but can adjust the distance and frequency to suit your pet. In addition to walks, we visit the yard frequently for play and potty breaks. We take pride in tailoring your dog's visit to individual needs. Your dog will have a room that will be their own for the duration of their stay so they can eat without interruption at their own pace (as well as sleep and hang out if they prefer solo time). If your dog desires, we also have plenty of common area space to interact with people as well as our dog.

About: Dogs are the best kind of “people” I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like. Engaging and playing with a dog is good for the soul as well as the mind. Nothing is as satisfying is running and exploring on the beach, meeting new friends, splashing in the surf, etc. I am all about fun being had but I also maintain a safe home and activity. I am highly organized and also very much in tune with your dog’s Health and well being. As a teacher it is critical to be in tune with your students needs. About: I have take care of animals for over 2 decades. Pups are my favorite and I also have chickens and volunteers with horses on a local farm. I respect nature and appreciate what great companions animals are for us humans. I treat them as family members. I had 3 dogs from puppies to their senior age and understand all stages of dog lives. I can play, socialize, train puppies. Walk fast pace with athletic dogs or slow down for littles or seniors. I can give medicine and keep an eye on health any conditions. I have 10yo son who is a huge dog lover and helps out with our dog and chickens and also does barn chores at the farm. I feel so blessed we both feel the same love for all creatures on Earth. I currently work from home, so your pup(s) will have a companion most of the time. I also go on 2-3 walks a day and we have a nice private yard for additional play and relax. We have a private yard, one friendly 2yo Boston terrier who has proven to be more than a gracious host to all sorts of furry visitors. He naturally accepts their energy if they want to play or are shy and need time. We also had some rescues and traumatized pets and Gizmo proved to a respectful companion. He is the reason I love pups and want them to have the most fantastic time in our home.

About: Hello, I'm Marjorie! Dogs have always been a part of my family. I'm one of those annoying people on the street who just HAS to say hi to your dog when you're trying to mind your own business and walk them. They are so special, sweet and they truly make our lives better. In the past, I have worked as a full-time dog walker. I have owned dogs my whole life and currently have two dogs. Tessie, an 8 year old Cattle Dog Mix and Norman, a 5 year old yellow lab. While they are best friends, they're always open to making new ones! We love hikes, swimming and fetch. Depending on your location and your pups preferences, I could take your pup for a leashed walk out your front door or drive to a wooded trail or beach for more adventure. I could bring one or both my dogs for playtime or socialization if you request, or leave them behind! I also have a fenced in yard where they could come hang out for a couple hours, like a play date if you wanted more than just a walk/short visit. I'm flexible to fit your pups needs. I absolutely adore dogs and they deserve to have the best day, every day. I am a full time Firefighter/EMT. My schedule does rotate but generally I have flexible availability throughout the week on days I am not working. I have a fenced in yard and two pups of my own who are friendly and always want to make new friends. While I do allow dogs on my furniture and bed, if you have different rules at home and prefer they abide by them, I will respect that.

About: I am a very compassionate, enthusiastic person that absolutely loves dogs! I don’t have a dog of my own anymore and only take one dog with no other dogs - unless the dogs in your family are more than one - the more the merrier in that case I’m in! I know many dogs do not get along with other dogs which is normal for many dogs, no worries I get it! This is a huge peace of mind for many dogs and their owners- and my specialty catering to one dog - hence my pricing. Believe me it’s worth every penny! A bit about me- my family and friends have always say “I’m a dog whisperer”! I have always had dogs in my life, but I lost my best friend (yellow lab). She was my soulmate! I am now ready to enjoy and take care of your fur-baby or fur-babies as my own. I give one on one attention to your dog that you will not find anywhere! All the dogs do very well with me, and their owner’s have all said they’ve had a huge relief knowing their fur- babies are in good, loving hands with me! You will absolutely have a peace of mind!! I’m available for house sitting in their comfort of your home or vacation/summer home or boarding here at my home. I also do drop in visits with walks, play and company for your pet. I love going on adventures with trail hikes, beaches and exploring with your pups. I know dogs, and I know their needs.
