About: We have owned and cared for dogs and cats for our entire lives. Friends and family joyfully leave their fur babies with us for day and overnight stays on a regular basis. We very much enjoy taking pups for walks through town, woods and the beach. We're happy to walk your dog in the environment that's best for them. We work from home as an artist and artisan and are available to provide constant monitoring and supervision for pets under our care. We generally offer services from November-May. My home has plenty of space to give your pet quiet solo time if desired. I currently have a 2.5 year old female lab mix who absolutely loves dogs and cats alike as well as a cat who really enjoys watching dogs (he has his own space on the second floor if dogs and cats need/want to be separated). We typically do a morning, afternoon and evening walk that is 1-2 miles long, but can adjust the distance and frequency to suit your pet. In addition to walks, we visit the yard frequently for play and potty breaks. We take pride in tailoring your dog's visit to individual needs. Your dog will have a room that will be their own for the duration of their stay so they can eat without interruption at their own pace (as well as sleep and hang out if they prefer solo time). If your dog desires, we also have plenty of common area space to interact with people as well as our dog.

I feel so fortunate that Cassandra was able to dog-sit my pup on such short notice in Provincetown. She was extremely responsive and flexible as we solidified the booking and my plans and she went above and beyond taking care of my Nico. They played, she took him for a walk and she updated me with photos. I would be so happy to hire Cassandra again and highly recommend her for caring for your pet.

Tara was wonderful - she watched Ace for two days during the day. The first day he had a little separation anxiety and Tara was very gentle with him, and sent regular updates. The second day, he barely looked back when I dropped him off because he was so excited to hang out with her! She is communicative and flexible. Would definitely use her services again.

I know for a fact Ruby loved her stay with cait as she came to me ready to hit the bed after her dinner. Cait was approachable, friendly and a person with whom I could trust my little one. I would have loved to take her in a boat but she was safer and happier playing with Cait. Would recommend Cait to anyone traveling with their pup and looking for a pup place to stay if you cannot take them along

Karen is fantastic! From the moment she met us and our anxious pup, Ernie, we knew that he was in great care. We so appreciated her communications pre-arrival and the video and picture updates provided during his daycare stay. Ernie was happy and certainly slept well after pickup, just as Karen said he would :) We highly recommend and will definitely book again!

About: I have take care of animals for over 2 decades. Pups are my favorite and I also have chickens and volunteers with horses on a local farm. I respect nature and appreciate what great companions animals are for us humans. I treat them as family members. I had 3 dogs from puppies to their senior age and understand all stages of dog lives. I can play, socialize, train puppies. Walk fast pace with athletic dogs or slow down for littles or seniors. I can give medicine and keep an eye on health any conditions. I have 10yo son who is a huge dog lover and helps out with our dog and chickens and also does barn chores at the farm. I feel so blessed we both feel the same love for all creatures on Earth. I currently work from home, so your pup(s) will have a companion most of the time. I also go on 2-3 walks a day and we have a nice private yard for additional play and relax. We have a private yard, one friendly 2yo Boston terrier who has proven to be more than a gracious host to all sorts of furry visitors. He naturally accepts their energy if they want to play or are shy and need time. We also had some rescues and traumatized pets and Gizmo proved to a respectful companion. He is the reason I love pups and want them to have the most fantastic time in our home.

My dog, Kiwi, had a fabulous visit with Andrea and Bob! They were extremely communicative and accommodating before our visit. They took care to learn Kiwi’s quirks, likes, and dislikes (she has a big personality, so there are a lot!). They even had toys and balls at their house for her to play with. It’s clear that they are experienced and intuitive dog caretakers, which is so important to me as a nervous dog mom. When I went to pick her up, Kiwi was all smiles and happy body language…I know she had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Andrea and Bob.

When we went to pick up our pup, he looked so content just sitting in her arms, and he NEVER sits still. We will call upon Chelsea again in the future, no hesitation!

We had a fantastic experience with Cindi through Rover while vacationing in Cape Cod. From the very beginning, she went above and beyond to make Finnegan feel comfortable and loved. She arranged a meet and greet a few days before the drop-off, during which she asked thoughtful questions and took notes on Finnegan’s preferences, showing her genuine care and attention to detail. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, Cindi took Finnegan on multiple walks, demonstrating her dedication and love for dogs. Throughout his stay, she kept us wonderfully updated with photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel connected even from afar. When it was time to pick him up, Finnegan ran right to her door like he owned the place a clear sign of how happy and comfortable he was with her. We will definitely be using Cindi again and highly recommend her to other dog owners looking for a caring, attentive, and reliable sitter.

About: I am a physical therapist who has a passion for working with people, however, I interact with people quite often. SO, what I really enjoy is making the time to cuddle or walk with furry friends any chance I can get. As a former doctoral student, I have learned how to manage time well, organize and prioritize. I have over 8 years of experience dog sitting for family members and these dogs include small breeds (Coton de Tulear and Dachshund), medium breeds (Beagle/Australian Sheperd mix) and large breeds (Pitbull/Boxer mix, Boxer, and Lab/Pitbull mix). I have administered medication on a strict schedule, bathed, walked and snuggled with all of these pups, showing nothing but love and dedication. I take all safety precautions to ensure gates are closed when necessary, human food is placed far out of reach, and all doors are shut that lead to tempting, tasty objects such as shoes and remotes. My experience with a variety of breeds and sizes makes me stand out, as well as my ability to handle high energy dogs who may appear confrontational at first. If you choose me to watch your fur babies, there is no doubt that they will be in good hands with someone who is dedicated to ensuring they are comfortable, happy and well taken care off. I have a very flexible schedule, I am in between jobs at the moment, so as long as I have enough notice, I am willing to make anything work! At my house I have to flexibility to take the dogs out as needed, I have a dog currently who is friendly with others. In my clients’ homes, I respect the client’s instructions and can perform any task they need! I respect the home and privacy as I have also had Rover sitters in my home and would want someone trustworthy.

We cannot say enough good things about Jennifer as a sitter! She was courteous, communicative, and professional, and she took such good care of Maki. He loved being at the beach so much that he didn’t want to go back inside after their walks! We would leave Maki in Jennifer’s care any time, and we were so grateful that we could enjoy our non-dog-friendly Ptown activities without any worries.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your North Truro commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 126 sitters in North Truro, 93% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
