About: I have owned 4 dogs throughout my entire life and am a total animal lover! I love and enjoy walking and connecting with dogs, and have had much experience walking my own dogs (2 Portuguese water dogs) as well as dogs of my friends and family. I also have experience feeding, bathing, and playing with/entertaining dogs. They are my favorite! I am working part time with an ambiguous schedule, so I definitely have availability for walking dogs whenever! Weekdays during the morning/afternoon work best for me, but feel free to reach out about other times, I am flexible! I have a backyard with space to play around, as well as a retractable fence. I am comfortable crating if needed. My neighborhood is great for walking dogs as well.
“We needed someone to watch our new puppy for a few hours. Brielle was the perfect fit. She was polite, caring and followed up with a quick text so we knew our puppy was great while she was gone. I would definitely recommend Brielle!”

“Emily visited our dog Finn at our house and was great! She did a meet and greet before and arrived on time for the day of the drop in. She sent lots of pics and made Finn’s day”

“Caitlin was awesome! She took great care of our dog and was very understanding and accommodating when we needed to modify our service. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Chelsea was fantastic. We have a crew of dogs, all with very different needs and Chelsea gave each of them exactly what they needed. We could not recommend her more highly. Simply, she is great.”

“Caroline was our first experience using Rover and we were so pleased! She and Yogi immediately bonded and we were at ease. Her experience with pugs was a plus! The Rover updates during her visits were fantastic!”

“Lara was truly wonderful with our shepherds. She connected right away with them, and was very caring in her interactions. They loved her right back. She was also flexible when timing changed for the visit. We highly recommend her!”

About: I am a friendly, professional 43 year old artist and mom. I have been taking care of various dog breeds since I was 10 years old, starting with three feisty Dalmatian puppies who grew into show dogs. I have experience caring for senior dogs of my family with various injuries and age disabilities which required heavy lifting and constant care and special diet needs. I am adept in feeding, crate training, walking, playing, health issues. I have been dog walking/sitting for neighbors, friends and family dogs throughout college in Boston, graduate school in Chicago and as and artist in New York City. Most recently my sister and I had a freelance dog walking business based around South Dartmouth, Martha's Vineyard and New Bedford, MA. I am an absolute dog lover--reliable,athletic, attentive, patient, calm under pressure and adaptable in various environments. I am available for long walks for athletic dogs, playing with your pup, devoting attention and care to senior dogs, dog sitting at home, quick jaunts for the day, or anywhere in between! I am a freelance artist living in Hyannis, MA and am very flexible to dog walking or sitting 7 days a week, very early morning throughout the day till evenings. I am available for dog walking, sitting, and feeding as frequently as needed for various dog sizes, ages, and health, exercise and time requirements in a client's home and am very comfortable with any outdoor local environment.
About: I've had dogs my whole life and volunteer weekly at an adoption center, walking various different breeds and ensuring they get the care they need and the necessary exercise. I am currently a student and look forward to taking care of pets and providing them with the care they need. I have had a passion for taking care of animals ever since I was really little and cannot wait to provide pets with my services! I have had a multitude of pet experiences and will watch for signs from your dog to ensure their best care. In my own home pets are like family and your pets will be treated as such.
About: I have been taking care of our bull dogs for seven years now. We adopt and had three before our oldest recently passed away. Bull dogs provide quite a bit of high maintenance care such as cleaning all folds multiple times a day, tail pockets, monitoring skin for yeast or allergies and of course… wiping butts after potty time. At least two walks or forms of exercise a day to keep them in shape for their health and breathing issues; if you see my babies photos, they are in super shape! So caring for three I feel shows my love, responsibility, managing skills and understanding of how to properly and lovingly care for pets. For many years now, I have also cared for a variety of my family members dogs and cats, whether that involves feeding, walking/ exercise, over nights, and loving attention. I am Corporate Life Coach & Counselor so I have a flexible schedule that I make myself, in a variety of towns in Massachusetts ( which is why my radius is so big) I also have a rental house in Dennisport MA, so providing pet care in the Cape is an option too! I love my fur-babies and providing love, exercise and quality time is what your pet deserves too! I will be providing services at your household, so any and all safety protocol will be provided that suits you and your pet to the fullest!
About: I have had various pets throughout 15 years of my life. I have also dog-sat both in client’s houses and hosted pets. I have had more than 4 pets at once; all different sizes and ages. I am great at socialising both cats and dogs quickly, including other kinds of animals. I can walk, feed, take to bathe and socialise your pet. I am great with puppies, adult, and senior dogs & cats (plus others). I love to work with animals experiencing anxieties and rescues. Enjoying time with children and introducing them and teaching how to treat family pet(s). Happy to combine tasks or handle any practical errands. Available early mornings, annd after 11 PM—ideal for your lunch hour— 5 PM to 9 PM so you can enjoy your evening with family. Let me be the room to rush to tend to your fur babies! My favourite walkways are those by grassy areas, where their energy can be matched, letting them enjoy parks, sights, and sounds. DM me to connect. Book now! Playtime is essential for all cognitive types and stimulation. I enjoy playing music for various activities—napping to socialising—and respect clients’ pet-care preferences. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Truro. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
