“David was such a great pal to my 8-month-old golden retriever, Stanley, who has the energy of a caffeinated toddler and the emotional eagerness of someone who thinks every head scratch might be their last. I got regular updates — photos of 5:30 a.m. tug-of-war, joyful dog park adventures, and one sneaky but proud toilet paper heist — which made being away for five days (our longest stretch yet!) so much easier. When I picked Stanley up, he was calm, happy, and clearly well-loved. Communication with David was smooth, direct, and quick, and he was super flexible. When Stanley saw me through the screen door at David’s place, he was wiggling with excitement — but also clearly torn to leave his new friends. I’d trust these two to hang out again anytime!”

About: I grew up with animals. As a result, I have had the responsibility of animal care since I was 6 years old. It is a part of my core self. I trained a rescue pit bull in my adult life. Through this process I learned a lot about the psychology of dogs and how to be a responsible dog owner. I had 12 wonderful years with her. I lost her in May and i am missing that canine connection. I am responsible, dependable, and I have a flexible schedule and a calm home. I have a flexible schedule. I work full time but some of that is from home. When I am not, at home, my office is a 7 minute drive away. Well behaved dogs can come to my office me. I have a small home that is primarily one floor. It has a yard (not fenced). I do not have children or other pets. I live a quiet and calm life and I am able to attend to animals with full attention.

Hi, it’s me—Austin. The distinguished gentleman with excellent ears. I stayed with Jennifer and Stephen, and let me tell you: elite hospitality. They welcomed me like I was royalty, gave me all the good sniff spots, and kept my human updated with photos where I looked extremely handsome (as usual). I got great walks, awesome beach time, perfect meals, and premium cuddles. Their house smelled friendly, safe, and slightly like treats—my favorite scent profile. When my human came back, I did the full-body wiggle, but I also gave Jennifer and Steven one last look like, “We’ll always have this weekend.” Two paws up. Would absolutely stay again.
