“Jennifer and Stephen took wonderful care of our dog Beau. He loved being with their pets (dog and cat), and had a great time. Will definitely be using Jennifer & Stephen again! Many thanks, Christine & Leon”

“Karen was great! Our dog had the best time and made lots of new friends. Karen provided daily updates and was very communicative. I hope we can use her again, and would highly recommend to others!”

“Harlow had such a great stay with Caitlin! Caitlin kept in strong contact with us throughout Harlow’s stay, which was very nice. All in all, a super great experience!”

“Zuzana did an amazing job taking care of our lab. Gizmo was a great host and our dog had a blast. Zuzana also went out of her way to purchase a new collar when ours broke last minute. Thank you so much! Would book again 100%!!!”

“Andrea & Bob are the best! When I dropped off my dog I knew he would be safe and cared for in my absence. They genuinely love the work they are doing and are looking out for your dog's best interest. I will definitely use them again. I highly recommend their services.”

“WONDERFUL experience with Michele! Our dog was so comfortable with Michele. She was incredibly thorough in ensuring she had all the information needed to make our dog feel at home. I've never seen our dog this happy with another care giver. Highly recommend!”

“David was such a great pal to my 8-month-old golden retriever, Stanley, who has the energy of a caffeinated toddler and the emotional eagerness of someone who thinks every head scratch might be their last. I got regular updates — photos of 5:30 a.m. tug-of-war, joyful dog park adventures, and one sneaky but proud toilet paper heist — which made being away for five days (our longest stretch yet!) so much easier. When I picked Stanley up, he was calm, happy, and clearly well-loved. Communication with David was smooth, direct, and quick, and he was super flexible. When Stanley saw me through the screen door at David’s place, he was wiggling with excitement — but also clearly torn to leave his new friends. I’d trust these two to hang out again anytime!”

“My 2 year old Lab/Golden Cross had a great weekend with Julie, her dog Ellie and another client's puppy. It was a last minute booking request but she agreed to a meet & greet first. Julie's calm and loving demeanor as well as her beautiful and inviting home convinced me my dog would be in good care. And she was. Having another client's puppy to run around with was a bonus! Thank you, Julie!”

“Stephen has been absolutely wonderful with my older dog, Billy. He is experienced, compassionate, and truly understands the special care and patience that senior dogs need. From the start, it was clear that he is attentive and thoughtful, always making sure Billy is comfortable and well cared for. His calm, caring manner gave me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Stephen to anyone looking for someone who genuinely understands and loves senior dogs.”

About: I grew up with animals. As a result, I have had the responsibility of animal care since I was 6 years old. It is a part of my core self. I trained a rescue pit bull in my adult life. Through this process I learned a lot about the psychology of dogs and how to be a responsible dog owner. I had 12 wonderful years with her. I lost her in May and i am missing that canine connection. I am responsible, dependable, and I have a flexible schedule and a calm home. I have a flexible schedule. I work full time but some of that is from home. When I am not, at home, my office is a 7 minute drive away. Well behaved dogs can come to my office me. I have a small home that is primarily one floor. It has a yard (not fenced). I do not have children or other pets. I live a quiet and calm life and I am able to attend to animals with full attention.
“I am grateful to Marcia for taking such good care of my dog. Marcia has extensive experience with dogs and knows a lot about them. My dog was reluctant to leave her when I was picking it up. I am very happy with everything and would contact Marcia first if I need someone to look after my dog in the future.”

“I was looking for someone to board my coonhound Cleo last minute, and Bonnie came to the rescue! Thank you Bonnie for taking such good care of Cleo which included giving her meds three times a day. Bonnie also made herself available so that we could pick up Cleo and take her to the beach in the evenings. Bonnie clearly loves animals and is very thorough and thoughtful in caring for them. Highly recommended!”

“Can’t say enough good things about Karen! We just moved here and were so nervous to find a good sitter.. Right off the bat Karen was so gentle and kind with Goldie, sent tons of picture updates, was quick to respond, and I never once felt worried or anxious! Also her dog Juni is the sweetest dog on the planet :) even with their size difference Goldie and Juni became sweet friends!”

“Deb is an incredible dog sitter. We boarded our 1.5 year old Ruby with Deb and her great dogs for 5 nights. Deb has the exact attention to detail and care that you give your own dog which is all you can ask for. She went above and beyond and we will certainly go back to her for any future needs. Thanks again Deb!”

“Luis was awesome! He was available last minute to take care of our Bischon with separation anxiety. He was attentive and communicative throughout her stay and even got her to pose for good pictures (which is rare). Would highly recommend and use again!”

“We used Cindi for the first time for our energetic Lab. They definitely kept her exercised and happy and sent her home with a new blanket. She was very responsive and sent regular updates, which is what every dog owner loves.”

“Apollo loves going to Desiree & Josiah’s! They are excellent with communication and sending pictures. He gets spoiled there with walks & lots of play. Highly recommend them!”

North Truro dog parents share their Rover experiences
Hi, it’s me—Austin. The distinguished gentleman with excellent ears. I stayed with Jennifer and Stephen, and let me tell you: elite hospitality. They welcomed me like I was royalty, gave me all the good sniff spots, and kept my human updated with photos where I looked extremely handsome (as usual). I got great walks, awesome beach time, perfect meals, and premium cuddles. Their house smelled friendly, safe, and slightly like treats—my favorite scent profile. When my human came back, I did the full-body wiggle, but I also gave Jennifer and Steven one last look like, “We’ll always have this weekend.” Two paws up. Would absolutely stay again.
