About: I grew up with animals. As a result, I have had the responsibility of animal care since I was 6 years old. It is a part of my core self. I trained a rescue pit bull in my adult life. Through this process I learned a lot about the psychology of dogs and how to be a responsible dog owner. I had 12 wonderful years with her. I lost her in May and i am missing that canine connection. I am responsible, dependable, and I have a flexible schedule and a calm home. I have a flexible schedule. I work full time but some of that is from home. When I am not, at home, my office is a 7 minute drive away. Well behaved dogs can come to my office me. I have a small home that is primarily one floor. It has a yard (not fenced). I do not have children or other pets. I live a quiet and calm life and I am able to attend to animals with full attention.

Zuzana was great! We had to leave town on a short notice and found Zuzana on Rover, contacted her and she responded with in the hour. Our dog is 13, deaf and likes to sleep with her people. Zuzana was unfazed by any of this. We did a meet and greet in her home and I could see Pepper was instantly a fan, walking thru her home tail wagging. Zuzana kept us updated with videos and pics ensuring us that Pepper was settled and happy. I will not hesitate to leave Pepper with Zuzana again nor hesitate to recommend Zuzana to another. Zuzana was wonderful with our dog. She made it easy to set up the booking and was very accommodating when I had to adjust the pick up and drop off times. Zuzana sent pics so we were able to see all of the fun they were having - out for walks, checking out the chickens, and Nola generally making herself at home at Zuzana's house. Zuzana has a dog who is clearly used to being around other dogs. Nola is not usually interested in other dogs and Zuzana's dog gave her space and didn't even react when Nola ate from his food bowl. Zuzana was very warm and affectionate with Nola. I will definitely book with Zuzana in the future!
Zuzana provided the most comprehensive and attentive boarding I could have wished for. I have boarded my two rescue dogs at the kennel in the past, which is traumatic for dogs who have been locked up and abused. It took me years to find someone willing to watch my dogs at their house for an extended stay and Zuzana was worth the wait. We had a meet and greet and I saw the long walks she takes the dogs on. They get their exercise multiple times a day and are true members of her family while my dogs stay with her. Zuzana’s own dog is friendly and her son and husband are equally as enthusiastic and welcoming of my dogs. I couldn’t be happier and can’t wait for another trip so my dogs can visit with Zuzana.
