About: What sets me apart is that I actually stick to your pet’s routine and pay attention to the little things. I also don’t mind helping taking care of exotic pets because I am trying to be an Exotics/Wildlife Veterinarian and have always had a passion for exotics, so I’ll be more than happy to help! I’ve helped with puppy training like potty reinforcing basic commands, but I am always willing to learn any crate training or potty training. I’m also comfortable with senior pups and making sure they get extra patience, slower walks, or medications if needed but I will need to learn how to administer your pup’s medication. I always send updates and photos so you know your pups are happy and taken care of. Pet care fits really well into my routine since I’m mostly available in the afternoons. I usually plan my classes and responsibilities earlier in the day, so afternoons are open for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and playtime. It works out great because I can give pets my full attention without feeling rushed, and I’m able to stay consistent with their schedule. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. I follow feeding and walk schedules, give them plenty of attention, and respect their personality and space. I’m also very respectful of the home and always send updates and photos so owners feel confident while they’re away.
“Extremely professional, did an outstanding job watching my new shelter dog. I highly recommend her services, she eased our concerns about the care of our new dog. Highly recommend…”

About: As a Family I’ve been taking care of pets for over 40 years. We took in bunnies, parakeets, dogs, cats. Especially close to my heart are senior pets. I am retired but help out with school drop off and pick up for my grandkids and watch them when they are out of school. They are all pet lovers and respectful of pets. I have a fenced in backyard and an elderly dog who loves spending time with other dogs I also go to friends and relatives houses to take care of their pets.

About: I have multi-dog household experience. There has always been at least two dogs in my house growing up, they’re my favorite animals. I have a chocolate Labrador named Whiskey, and a Schnoodle named Max. My chihuahua sadly passed away. I love to meet and have other dogs in my house. I’m comfortable administering oral medication if needed. I’ll send daily photo updates. I’m a stay at home mom so there’s always time to care and play with our furry kids. I wake up between 6-8am and go to bed by 10pm. When I need to leave the house to run errands, I don’t take longer than 3 hours at a time, so I make sure my pets are taken outside for potty and water breaks. There is a fenced area in the back of our house, and a big open area. I can take them out on a leash if needed or crate them if they’re not house trained.
“Joseph and Destiny plus their pups were awesome! Friendly and took extra special care of our, not always perfectly behaved, fur baby! I will definitely be asking them to care for our pet again.”

“Samantha is a very loving person and a true animal and especially dog lover! She took really good care of our dog Nugget, she followed all our instructions and she was sending us updates and photos everyday and two to three times per day, something that was such a relief for us. Her dogs became friends with our Nugget and they ended up sleeping all together! We are truly recommend Samantha and we will definetely choose her again in the future!”

About: I have been taking care of cats and dogs for 10 years now and have gotten a good amount of experience. I am capable of handling all ages and have experience with special need cats and dogs. I also have experience with large aggressive dogs, dogs with excessive energy, and dogs that are very strong minded. I am not afraid of a challenge! I currently go to school, however I am free all of the rest of the day to spend time with your pet! this includes all day weekends and holidays I am very familiar with both cats and dogs as I have owned many in my life. I can work with both animals in early and late stages of life quite well. I have experience working with aggressive large dogs, and am not afraid of a strong willed pup.
About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals throughout my life, such as dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, ducks, and chickens. I’m very reliable and will make sure to follow directions on how you want your animal taken care of. I am currently a student and have a part time job, but I also have a lot of free time on my hands making this type of job perfect for me. I grew up around cats and dogs growing up and care deeply for animals. For animals I board I like to do a meet and greet to let your animal get to know an unfamiliar place with you there. For dog sitting I like to do a meet and greet at the house or a nearby park to get to know your pet and so that I’m not a stranger to them when hanging with them.

“As always, Macho LOVES staying at his home away from home. One month is the longest amount of time we had to be gone from him and it made it so much easier knowing he was with Ashley, Jon and their family. We appreciate knowing he is loved and cared for when we can't be with him!”

About: I volunteer regularly at a local animal shelter and have fostered many pets through NC Seaside Animal Rescue. My dream is to turn my passion for pet sitting into a full time career because nothing brings me more joy than caring for animals. As a local elementary school educator, I’m a trusted and responsible caregiver. When I’m not caring for pets or teaching, you’ll often find me exploring local parks or volunteering at the shelter. I will send regulate pictures and text updates and I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! My schedule will be fully open for the next few months. All of my services will be avaliable morning, afternoon and night time. (Depending on what is needed)! When caring for pets in your home, I focus on maintaining their usual routine to keep them comfortable and happy. I follow your instructions carefully—feeding schedules, exercise, medication, and any special needs—while giving lots of love, attention, and playtime. I also keep your home safe and secure, and I provide regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing your pet is well cared for. If boarding your pet at my home, I create a calm and welcoming environment tailored to each pet’s personality. Since I don’t have pets of my own, your pet will have all the attention and space they need. I make sure they get plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and affection, and I keep a close eye on their health and wellbeing throughout their stay. Whether in your home or mine, my priority is making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for as if they were my own.
About: • All breeds, temperaments, sizes & quirks • Administering medications • Decade of dog care and training experience Hi, I’m Kylie! I’ve been working with dogs for over a decade, including time spent learning under and alongside professional dog trainers. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments—and I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and quirks. I run my services out of my home, where every dog is treated like family. We’ve created a dedicated dog room designed for comfort, structure, and relaxation, giving pups their own safe space when needed. Our fully fenced-in yard provides plenty of room for supervised play, exercise, and fresh air, so your dog can enjoy a balance of activity and downtime. I do my best to keep each pup’s daily routine as close to their at-home schedule as possible, which helps them feel comfortable and lowers stress. My care is always personalized—whether your dog needs extra playtime, calm companionship, or structured guidance, I adjust to fit their needs. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I make sure every pet in my care feels loved, secure, and well taken care of. During the day, dogs in my care follow a balanced and structured routine designed to keep them happy, comfortable, and engaged. Potty breaks are offered every two hours (unless an owner requests otherwise), giving each pup plenty of chances to go outside and stretch their legs. Playgroups are always supervised and matched based on each dog’s likes, dislikes, and play style, so social time is safe and enjoyable. Mini training sessions can be worked into the day upon request, reinforcing good manners and keeping pups mentally stimulated. To help dogs recharge, I include structured nap times where they can relax in a calm environment. And of course, there’s plenty of time to hang out with humans—whether that’s lounging on the furniture for snuggles or just enjoying companionship. This balance of activity, rest, and affection ensures every dog feels at home while staying with me. As a stay at home wife my entire day is structured around our own dogs and our visiting dogs. In my home we do boarding and daycare! Boarding dogs are on a slightly different schedule than daycare dogs, as they’re with me all day instead of only during the day. Boarding dogs routines vary based off energy level, temperament and their usual routine at their own homes. Depending on the dogs temperament and who they get along with we swap play groups around just to ensure the best time for everyone! All dogs in my home are treated like family. I’d want my own dogs to be treated as such during boarding or daycare, so it makes sense that i treat all client dogs the same.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tarawa Terrace
Literally the best duo, they are our go to when it comes to dog sitting. Our dogs always look so happy with them and come back looking like they had a blast haha. They go above and beyond and truly dedicate themselves to ensuring your pets are happy and healthy while under their care. Will definitely be booking again and again !

Marcia was an amazing pet sitter for our two golden retrievers! She gave them undivided attention and so much one on one time, we were truly blessed to have her take care of our fur babies!!! I would highly recommend Marcia for taking care of any animal you have . We loved her!

I had such a wonderful experience with Abigail taking care of my parents dog, while we were away. She was incredibly kind, caring, and trustworthy. She always kept me updated by sending pictures and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing that Moochi was happy and well cared for. Her kids were also very friendly and sweet with and it was clear that she was surrounded by a loving and welcoming environment. I truly appreciated the attention, care, and communication she provided throughout the entire time. Will definitely book with her again!

Talia was amazing with my two dogs (a Labrador Retriever and a Shih Tzu)! From the very beginning, she was great at communicating and even arranged a meet-and-greet so everyone felt comfortable. This was actually my dogs first time being watched at someone else’s house, anytime we are out of town they are cared for at home our home with some friends watching them so I was a little nervous at first using Rover for the first time but Talia made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. She kept me updated throughout the week with pictures and messages, which was really great! My dogs had an absolute amazing time playing with her dog, and it was clear they felt right at home. You can really tell she loves and cares for the pets she watches. My Shih Tzu got sick during the stay and she personally made some rice and chicken to make sure she gets better which she didn’t have to do but that shows you what type of person Talia is!!

Danielle was wonderful. Great communicator, and made it easy for us to enjoy our vacation in Mexico while Molly our Boxer was with Danielle and her family having fun. It took the worry away for me, thank you so much. Danielle is awesome and will use her again if timing is right.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
