Marcia watched both my dogs for 18 days. She was wonderful and kept me updated with pictures.

I felt great leaving out dog with Marcia for a week while we went to Topsail. Her home was clean and inviting with a nice big fenced in yard. She seems like a pro having the small and big dogs in separate areas also. She responded quickly with updates and pictures. She also was extremely accommodating when we encountered a family emergency at the end of our trip and our dog needed to stay a few extra days. We will use again when in the area.

Very easy drop off, and location. She also worked well with me moving the dates due to being behind a few days to an emergency situation which I extremely appreciate. However, there were a few issues. I was messaged saying that my dog was doing good with pictures that wasn't my dog, he was still with me at this time. I understand accidents can happen but with pictures and information on my dog I'm not sure how it could be mixed up. Also, it was supposed to be for an entire day 830AM to 930PM. I didn't drop him off until 1230 pm(running late, my fault) and she was texting me around 5 to have him picked up by 8PM due to me not leaving food. He was on a strict veterinarian diet twice daily. He had a schedule of 10AM and 10PM. There was time for me to pick him up and feed him. It was a little upsetting being rushed when that is why I paid for a pet sitter. Also, I received no updates on how he was doing or pictures the short 6 1/2 hours that he was with her.

Marcia was an amazing pet sitter for our two golden retrievers! She gave them undivided attention and so much one on one time, we were truly blessed to have her take care of our fur babies!!! I would highly recommend Marcia for taking care of any animal you have . We loved her!

Schedule

As someone who’s retired, I have the time and flexibility to fully dedicate myself to pet care. My daily routine is centered around the dogs I watch whether that means long walks, playtime, or just keeping them company throughout the day. I’m home the majority of the time, so your pup will never be left alone for long. This allows me to follow their schedule closely and give them plenty of love and attention.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I have a secure, fenced yard for outdoor time and play, and my home is calm, clean, and pet-friendly. Dogs are welcome to roam, nap on cozy beds, or play with a variety of toys. I can provide crates if needed, follow any feeding or medication routines, and keep things consistent with what your pup is used to. I only take a small number of pets at a time to ensure plenty of individual attention, snuggles, and supervision throughout the day.

Pets

A typical day

I love keeping pets engaged and happy! Depending on their energy level and preferences, we’ll go on relaxing walks, enjoy backyard playtime, or have indoor fun with toys and games. I also love giving belly rubs, brushing, and just sitting with them for snuggles or quiet companionship. For more active pups, we’ll play fetch or explore the neighborhood. I tailor the activities to each pet’s personality to make sure they feel comfortable, stimulated, and loved.

It’s important for me to know your pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. I always ask about their energy level, favorite activities, feeding schedule, medical needs, and how they do with other animals or new environments. Knowing things like whether they’re crate-trained, have any fears (like loud noises), or need help with anxiety helps me provide the best possible care. The more I know, the more I can make them feel at home!
