“We have used Abigail to care for our cat several times now, and she has been absolutely wonderful every single visit. She is so caring and attentive, and it gives us so much peace of mind knowing our girl is in such good hands while we’re away. Abigail always sends detailed check-ins and plenty of photos, which we truly appreciate. She goes above and beyond by keeping food and water dishes clean, refreshing everything, and making sure our cat is comfortable and well cared for. It’s obvious that she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. We are so grateful to have found someone so reliable, thoughtful, and kind. I would highly recommend Abigail to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

About: Hi, I’m Brianna! I am married and we have a 2 year old daughter and a 4 year old Australian Shepherd! My husband and I both grew up with dogs and we love to care for them. I would love to care for yours, like they’re my own. I am home almost all day everyday, and can take your dog for a walk with our Nala. We walk with a leash on our street, we have a smaller fenced in yard the dogs can run and get their energy out in, and we can play with toys inside as well. I am comfortable with administering medication if needed. I do not work, so i am entirely able to give my attention to your fur baby, and play with them all day long if needed! You can fully entrust your fur baby with me. I will love your baby as if they’re my own. I can send photos and videos if desired!
About: i’ve had animals my whole life. cats, dogs, ducks, etc! i currently have 2 cats! i’ve always had a way with animals. my friends and family can vouch for that. i treat any pet like my own, i do everything i can to make sure they feel comfortable and happy while you’re gone! im a stay at home military wife, when i’m at home, im relaxing with my cats! i’m looking for more things to do, so i thought, why not do what i love?! take care of some kitties! i can crate your dogs if needed, take them on walks, give them medication, etc!! same goes for cats, nails cut, medication, brushing, feeding, litter boxes, or even just sitting there playing with them and giving them pets and attention, i’ll do it!
About: Experienced & Trustworthy. Walks, Feeding, Playtime & Lots of Love. Medication Administration (if needed). Your pet will be cared for like family while you’re away. Pet care fits well into my schedule because I am able to plan visits around consistent morning, afternoon, and evening routines. I’m flexible and can accommodate feeding times, walks, and check-ins as needed. I’m also available for weekends and can adjust for special requests. This allows me to provide reliable, consistent care while meeting each pet’s routine. Follow instructions and keep the pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, and rest. Provide daily exercise, playtime, fresh water, and clean-up to maintain a healthy environment. Monitor the behavior and health, and give medication as directed if needed. Keep the home safe and clean, communicate updates to humans and provide attentive, loving care.

“Allana was great. She was always on time and was great with my dog. My dog is very shy and doesn’t get comfortable with everyone but warmed up to Allana really fast. She communicated and sent me pictures and updates after every visit. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I grew up on a farm and have taken care of dogs and cats of all ages and breeds since I was little. I have experience in training dogs with basic commands. When friends and family go out of town I am the one they rely on to care for their pets. I work 2 days a week and I am home the rest of the days. I have friends that let the pups out while I’m at work and cameras to watch them. I have a fenced in backyard and three fur babies. My golden retrievers love to play with others and my Jack Russell likes to be by herself and sleep all day. I have extra crates if the need arises.
“Hope did a wonderful job taking care of our pups while we were out of town! She was super at communicating and sent lots of pictures at every check in. I highly recommend Hope to take care of your animals!”

About: What sets me apart is that I actually stick to your pet’s routine and pay attention to the little things. I also don’t mind helping taking care of exotic pets because I am trying to be an Exotics/Wildlife Veterinarian and have always had a passion for exotics, so I’ll be more than happy to help! I’ve helped with puppy training like potty reinforcing basic commands, but I am always willing to learn any crate training or potty training. I’m also comfortable with senior pups and making sure they get extra patience, slower walks, or medications if needed but I will need to learn how to administer your pup’s medication. I always send updates and photos so you know your pups are happy and taken care of. Pet care fits really well into my routine since I’m mostly available in the afternoons. I usually plan my classes and responsibilities earlier in the day, so afternoons are open for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and playtime. It works out great because I can give pets my full attention without feeling rushed, and I’m able to stay consistent with their schedule. When I care for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal routine so they feel comfortable and stress-free. I follow feeding and walk schedules, give them plenty of attention, and respect their personality and space. I’m also very respectful of the home and always send updates and photos so owners feel confident while they’re away.
“Kaylie was awesome with Asher and Sadie. She had patiences with them as it was storming and they were hesitant to go out. But she took them out a few times after the rain let up a little and they finally did their business. She was on time and provided details and asked lots of questions.”

About: I have been caring for and watching dogs since I was a young child. Unfortunately, my husband and I are not currently able to get a dog due to the uncertainty of work schedules. Therefore, I decided that there was no better place for me than rover! I would love spending the afternoon walking, playing, hiking, or running with your dog! I have plenty of space for your dog to explore outside, or take them to mini trips to the dog park or to get a pupcup! I grew up with 3 golden retrievers, but have experience caring for pitbulls, dachshunds, boxers, red heeler, pugs, etc. I am also willing to take the time to learn the specific needs of your pet and take the extra step to build a relationship with them to give them the care they need. Please read the "cat care details" to see how I would care for your kitty friends! ☺️ I currently work part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups! I offer boarding 7 days a week and pet walking and at home visits in the afternoons after 3 pm or anytime on the weekends! I have an open yard for your dogs to run or explore. Your doggos are free to lounge on my furniture or bring their own beds & blankies to sleep on. When caring for dogs at their home, I will gladly take them on however long of a walk they're used to. (I love walking, running, and hiking).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tarawa Terrace. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
