About: I have grown up with all sizes, breeds and personalities of both dogs, and cats! I have even helped with 3 different litters when my Nana use to breed her Standard Poodles! Every single one of these furry friends deserve nothing less than the upmost respect we can give as their care takers. I am in the beauty industry, so my schedule varies week to week. I have overall control of my schedule which helps me to be flexible! I am very comfortable with any breed and size of pets! I can walk out on a leash, watch in a fenced in area, throw a ball for fetch, and even participate in a tug of war battle! I am very transparent as to what i’m comfortable with and what is in the best interest of your furry friends care!
“Jade is fantastic! I never worry about my pups with her while I’m at work. She is dependable and communicative. I would highly recommend her for any of your petsitting needs.”

About: For as long as I can remember, I have grown up with both dogs and cats! I have been surrounded by them whether it be them being my own pets( or should I say my own family members because let’s face it, they are our family), my relatives house and even my neighbors house when babysitting. I know it can be hard leaving your fur baby alone, I just hope that I can make them and you comfortable! I am a full time teacher at Camp Lejeune! I work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm so I am available weekdays after 5:45 pm and then all weekend long. I take hour lunches so if in a nearby neighborhood I can let them out during the day or frequently on the weekends! In order to keep you and them at the most comfortable, I am able to house sit and take care of them in the comfort of your own home. I am 100% honest so that everyone has a happy, healthy and most importantly and safe stay!
“Lanette has been amazing with our pups! We will use her every chance we can. She shows them love and plays with them. She makes sure they have fresh water. It’s nice being able to have someone care for your pets as they are their own. I would definitely recommend her!”

“Clayton was absolutely amazing with our Great Dane and our kitten! He picked up on their personalities right away and was very attentive to each of them. We loved reading the detailed and humorous report cards that he wrote for us. He was very respectful, professional, punctual, and communicated effectively. We will absolutely be booking with him again in the future! Thanks so much Clayton, we appreciate you!”

“Really nice with excellent initiative. She wanted to let me know all the things she was capable of and that made for an informative conversation on our initial meet-up. Very kind and prompt. Always keep me informed and I felt save leaving my dogs with her. Would use again.”

“Michelle was absolutely fantastic with my puppy! She was willing to do a meet and greet to get acquainted with everything before the actual drop in. She was very quick to respond and willing to help out with whatever she could to take extra care of my little Roger! I thoroughly trust her to go above and beyond for my pup everytime!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Half Moon
I recently hired Andrea to care for my two cats, Casper and Spirit, while I was away, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. She was exceptionally reliable, communicative, and attentive to every detail of their care routine. Casper and Spirit can be a bit shy with new people, but they warmed up to Andrea right away — a true testament to her calm and caring nature. I received regular updates and photos, which gave my wife complete peace of mind knowing they were happy, well-fed, and comfortable at home. I came back to two relaxed, well-cared-for cats and a tidy home. I truly appreciate the level of professionalism and genuine affection Andrea showed toward my pets. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Half Moon. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
