“Lanette has been amazing with our pups! We will use her every chance we can. She shows them love and plays with them. She makes sure they have fresh water. It’s nice being able to have someone care for your pets as they are their own. I would definitely recommend her!”
“He was incredibly responsive, communicative, and accommodating when I needed a last-minute drop-in for my dogs. He adjusted his schedule without hesitation, kept me updated, and gave me peace of mind knowing they were well taken care of. I would absolutely book with him again”

“We had a local trip planned and found Bethany on Rover. We met with her prior to our trip and did a meet & greet with our animals who really loved her. We have a dog, Diamond and a bunny named Zim. She treated both of them with the love and respect I'd give them myself. She was very attention to detail oriented and followed all my instructions even though they may have been overwhelming! She even opened and closed my blinds for the animals! She sent photo updates and detailed messages every check in and was excellent at communicating any needs, thoughts or concerns. We absolutely felt comfortable and safe with her in our home and we have already planned to use her again very soon!”

“Trisha has always been available when needed, even on last minute visits. My boys are always well taken care of and she will update you on the entire visit. Will probably always use her services.”

“Brooke was great—she helped us out on short notice, was super kind to our dogs, and made sure Scout got his medicine while he was recovering. We really appreciated her help and would definitely book with her again.”

About: What sets me apart is my real hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs in different home environments. I’ve pet sat for 3 different families and understand how important it is to keep pets safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine. I also have a cat and two dogs of my own, so caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals of all personalities and energy levels. I am currently on summer break from college, and animal care is my part-time job for the summer. I have open daily availability and am committed to providing reliable, attentive care for pets. In the client’s home, I will maintain the environment exactly as I found it. I will carefully follow all instructions provided and in unforeseen situations I can navigate them by using my experience caring for pets to handle any situation responsibly.
“Jordan was quick to respond after short notice and went above and beyond, providing quality care for my pup Sydney. Sydney loved her from the beginning and was so sad when she left. I plan to use her services again and I appreciate all her help :)”

“Brittany was great. 1st time using her. She communicated, sent photos, and completed the things we requested. It was comforting to know that our cats were taken care of while we were away.”

“Awesome! Michelle went above and beyond during her visits with Nessie. Highly recommended, in fact if Nessie could talk, she'd probably be asking where Michelle went? and when is she coming back? ?”

“Jade came and met my babies the night before as this was last minute. She treated them as if they were her own. I would definitely recommend Jade. I’ll definitely be rebooking with her!!”

“Absolutely amazing experience with Jacob! 🌟 He was reliable, communicative, and genuinely cared for my pet like they were his own. I had total peace of mind knowing everything was handled with so much attention and kindness. I would 100% trust Jacob again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-notch care. Thanks again, Jacob! 🐾💛”

“Ashley is hands down the best dog sitter I have ever used! She went above and beyond while taking care of my dog and I would recommend her to anyone. A great sitter and a great person, I will be requesting her again. ”
“Kelly is so sweet and so amazing! I worry my dogs are too energetic & jumpy and she assured me they are no problem. This was our first time leaving the house and needing someone to take care of the dogs. So Kelly will be who we use from now on!”
About: I will love your dog or cat as if they were my own. I have fostered and volunteered with local rescues and have probably fostered around 40 dogs and cats in my life time. I am able to help soothe nervous pets and start working on commands. I don’t mind taking “reactive” dogs, just let me know that they are “reactive” so I can best prepare. I have had several fosters that had a bite record but by the end of their stay with me they were a completely different pup as they began to trust the world again. I honestly like fur babies more than most people. There are no children in my home and I have a Chi Pug Mix and Husky, both submissive. I do work full time week day schedules are as follows: Leave home at 7:15 am Return on my lunch to let dogs out/provide enrichment 12:15pm-1pm Return home for the day at 5pm Unless volunteering (will be scheduled around boarding/day care) I’m am home at least 75% of the time on weekends and evenings. I have a large fenced back yard and have baby gates for additional separation/in case your pup is a runner when doors are opened (please let me know if this is the case). I also have a “office” where 1/2 is set up for dogs that need separation as well as two additional separate spaces should the pup need to be separated. I will treat your furbaby as if it is my own and I’m definitely a helicopter dog mom where safety is my number one priority.
About: Ive always had pets growing up along with taking care of hamsters, fish, rabbits, dogs, cows, goats, horses (the one as cover photo was my horse, Echo) and cats for people through the years. I watched dogs overnight for family friends which included walks, let out to use bathroom and feed. I worked with horses at barns with 20 or more horses, plus cows and dogs. I would make sure all turned out to pasture after am feed, clean stalls, groom amd just all basic care. I love animals and gave up my career as a horse breeder to be a military wife and then became a mom to 3 wonderful kids. I would like to be able to help someone who needs a walker. I am a stay at home mom with 1 in school. I am free in mornings and depending on whats needed can add afternoons later as a schedule is set up. Im very active outdoors with my kids. Im a big runner so i push a triple jogger so a dog that needs long walks or runs i can easily help with. If small walks are needed I can do that as well. I love being outside and staying healthy and love to have my kids part of that. My kids of course will be coming with me, all 3 will be only when no school. So Im very open and willing to help. I have a huge pen set up for our rabbits to run about in. They arent outside and get so much attention from the kids, they wont be bothered by any dogs. We have a small cemented yard thats fenced if need to bring a dog back here.
“Jackie was really great, sending me updates while she watched Basil and I could just tell she was taking good care of her. I would absolutely recommend using Jackie to watch your pets!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Richlands. On Rover:

- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
