“Absolutely amazing experience with Jacob! 🌟 He was reliable, communicative, and genuinely cared for my pet like they were his own. I had total peace of mind knowing everything was handled with so much attention and kindness. I would 100% trust Jacob again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for top-notch care. Thanks again, Jacob! 🐾💛”

“Brooke did amazing with Ruger and Maggie! She followed the schedule like we talked about and fed them for us as well. Ruger and Maggie behaved well with her kids. Definitely going to be using her in the future!!”

“Really nice with excellent initiative. She wanted to let me know all the things she was capable of and that made for an informative conversation on our initial meet-up. Very kind and prompt. Always keep me informed and I felt save leaving my dogs with her. Would use again.”

About: I've cared for dogs and other pets for many years, including feeding, walking, grooming, cleaning, and providing enrichment. I have hands-on experience with dogs, personalities, and needs, and I'm trained in dog body language, learning theory, basic manners, introductions, advanced skills, and unwanted behaviors. Through volunteering at Paws of War ENC, P.A.W.S. Animal Shelter, Adoption First Animal Rescue, and caring for pets for friends, family, and others, I've developed a patient, compassionate approach to animal care. I'm dependable, attentive, and committed to keeping every pet safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care. I'm available Friday, Sat, Sun, Mon & Tues (each day after 2 pm) to give your pets devoted time. I am available from 6 am to 10 pm on Wednesdays. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have experience with pet sitting and dog training, and I understand the importance of maintaining routines, reinforcing positive behavior, and providing patient compassionate care. Whether caring for your pet at your home or during walks and visits, I'll follow your instructions closely, provide plenty of exercise, playtime, mental stimulation, and affection, and ensure your pet feels safe, secure, and well cared for. I can also administer medications, accommodate special care needs, and crate your dog if you request it.
“Michelle was absolutely fantastic with my puppy! She was willing to do a meet and greet to get acquainted with everything before the actual drop in. She was very quick to respond and willing to help out with whatever she could to take extra care of my little Roger! I thoroughly trust her to go above and beyond for my pup everytime!”

“Catrina took wonderful care of our pets and was super communicative throughout the stay. I especially appreciated her flexibility. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Jade did an amazing job! She took excellent care of my dog and 3 cats, she sent pictures and was very communicative! Would definitely recommend her and if I need services again I will be asking Jade!”

“Brittany was great. 1st time using her. She communicated, sent photos, and completed the things we requested. It was comforting to know that our cats were taken care of while we were away.”

“We are so lucky to have found Kayla! My dogs are my babies and I was beyond anxious about leaving them home for a week, but Kayla put me at ease from the day we met. She did drop in visits for a week and was always timely and provided great pictures to show how happy the pups were. If I ever have to leave my babies home alone, I would absolutely have her back.”

About: For as long as I can remember, I have grown up with both dogs and cats! I have been surrounded by them whether it be them being my own pets( or should I say my own family members because let’s face it, they are our family), my relatives house and even my neighbors house when babysitting. I know it can be hard leaving your fur baby alone, I just hope that I can make them and you comfortable! I am a full time teacher at Camp Lejeune! I work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm so I am available weekdays after 5:45 pm and then all weekend long. I take hour lunches so if in a nearby neighborhood I can let them out during the day or frequently on the weekends! In order to keep you and them at the most comfortable, I am able to house sit and take care of them in the comfort of your own home. I am 100% honest so that everyone has a happy, healthy and most importantly and safe stay!
About: What sets me apart is that I have experience caring for a variety of animals, not just dogs and cats. I currently care for 4 cats, 3 dogs, fish, a turtle, and a jumping spider, so I understand that every pet has different needs, routines, and personalities. I’m attentive to details and take the time to make sure each animal feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I’m especially patient with animals that may be nervous or take time to warm up to someone new. I’m comfortable following specific feeding schedules, medication or care instructions, cleaning routines, and providing plenty of playtime, enrichment, and attention. My goal is to care for your pets the same way I would want someone to care for mine: with patience, responsibility, and lots of love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already spend a lot of time caring for my own animals. I’m used to keeping consistent feeding and cleaning schedules, making time for play and attention, and paying close attention to changes in their behavior or needs. I enjoy being around animals and would be happy to make caring for your pets a regular part of my day while giving them the same patience, attention, and love I give my own. I care for pets by following their normal routines and paying close attention to their individual needs, personalities, and comfort levels. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or in their own home, I make sure they receive the appropriate feeding, exercise, playtime, enrichment, and attention they’re used to. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions for feeding schedules, medications, cleaning, and other specific care needs. I also understand that some pets need time to warm up to someone new, so I’m patient and never force interaction. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away, while also respecting their home and keeping things clean and orderly.
“Ashley is hands down the best dog sitter I have ever used! She went above and beyond while taking care of my dog and I would recommend her to anyone. A great sitter and a great person, I will be requesting her again. ”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Richlands. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
