About: I'm a lifelong dog lover and caretaker who has cared for dogs for family, friends, and neighbors my whole adult life (and much of my childhood). I grew up with dogs, and have helped care for puppies, senior dogs, dogs with baggage, and everything in between. Meeting new dogs is always a highlight when out and about in the city, and I'd love to meet and help care for yours! I work from home as a freelancer and contractor, so my schedule is very flexible! Your pet's care will be my top priority -- walks, potty breaks, whatever they need! I have a spacious apartment in DC with a comfortable couch, a rug to lay on, and pillows/beds available for your pup. There is a grassy area outside our apartment (not fenced), and a large park within easy walking distance nearby.

About: My passion is making sure pets are cared for to the utmost quality. I started out by walking my neighbors dogs when i was just 12 years old and continued dog walking/pet sitting for family members/friends/clients until graduating college. I of course adore cats as well and have always cared for my grandma’s cats when she needs the extra help ☺️ Right now, pet sitting is a part-time job for me so I am available after 5pm Monday to Thursday and after 12pm on Fridays! I’m available all weekends. I live in a spacious 700 sq ft studio by myself! I don’t have any pets that live with me (they’re physically with family but I think of them as my own:) ) I live in a very dog friendly community with a dog park and large fields of grass perfect for off-leash time. I do also have large windows perfect for bird watching for my meow-er companions :)

We so enjoyed having Miaki stay with Goose and Roo while we were out of town. Miaki is very communicative and thorough - we appreciated that she came by to meet the dogs beforehand and proactively asked questions to ensure that the dogs would be well taken care of in our absence. Miaki sent daily updates throughout our trip, and we can home to very happy dogs. We look forward to Miaki’s next visit and are sure our dogs will be excited to see her too.
Nakia stayed with our pup (and our house) for two weeks. She is outstanding -- she really attended to our girl and took her on her favorite outings, and sent detailed updates and photos. She made our trip fantastically low-stress and I would absolutely recommend her.

July was awesome watching our 4 pets while we traveled. She sent us frequent updates, photos, and questions as needed. Our min-pin Mina who is pretty territorial about our house and anxious about pretty much everything seemed to have a good time with July. Will definitely ask her to watch our fur babies again!
Chinyere took such amazing care of my three pets while I was on vacation. She was so easy to communicate with and was a pro at handling the quirks of my various pets! She also left my home in better condition than I left it, she really goes above and beyond for the animals and home in her care.
Rynn was a wonderful dog walker and sitter for our dog Remy. Remy is very strong and can be dog-reactive and has some special needs as a bulldog. We felt very comfortable with Rynn taking care of him and she was very conscientious about staying in our home with great communication. Would book again!
Fantastic sitter! Frankie is a newly adopted rescue who is still settling in and can be a bit of a terrier goblin, so I was nervous about leaving her. Isabel was calm, patient, and clearly experienced with dogs. Frankie was happy and relaxed when I got home. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. Highly recommend!
Claire was easy-going, attentive and responsible, despite having to take a final exam during the days when she was house sitting. She was always flexible about meeting up before the pet sitting began. She kept my beloved dog and cat alive and well while I was out of town, which was my main priority. But she also paid attention to their moods, appetites (or lack thereof) and individual needs, which I greatly appreciated. Our dog, Stevie, was in amazing hands with Aaron and Paweena. They truly rolled out the red carpet for our cattle dog/German shepherd mix. Since Stevie can be nervous around new people, they generously came over for meet-and-greets and walks before our trip. Once we left, for nearly a week and an ocean away, we quickly saw that she was smitten with her new companions. Their daily photos or videos filled our hearts as we watched her thrive with Aaron and Paweena. Aaron has also completed specialized training and brought fun enrichment games to keep Stevie engaged. They clearly understand animal behavior and show deep compassion for the pets entrusted to their care. For walking or house sitting, we highly recommend this experienced, caring dog-whisperer couple.
