“Alex and Daniel were wonderful to work with! They kindly gave us updates on our dog while she was with them and it really seemed like she warmed up to them quickly. We are so greatful to have met them and we look forward to working with them in the future.”

“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”
“Brianne watched our dog for six days. She was very communicative and her dogs played well with our dog. Laika enjoyed playing with her daughters and the her dogs. She came back home very happy. We would want to board Laika again with Brianne if she is available.”

“Great experience leaving Oliver with their family. The two of them were conscientious and considerate about understanding Oliver's needs and ensuring that I felt comfortable leaving him in their care while I was out of town. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Oliver with them again!”

“I fully trust Chad and Regina with my dog’s care. They’re responsible, attentive, and treat him like one of their own. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for peace of mind.”

“Colleen and her family took wonderful care of my dog. She is a very trustworthy and conscientious dog mom. I appreciate that her home has a fenced yard. She also was able to administer daily high drops to my senior dog. I received updates and photos. Thank you Colleen and family!”

“Austin and Majid took great care of our pup while we were away for a week. Our dog is a rescue with a history of some behavioral issues, and what drew us to them is that they were very comfortable and confident in taking care of pups with all kinds of temperaments. We appreciated the updates and felt great knowing she was safe and well-cared for.”

“Antonio and Guada were awesome. We left our goldendoodle there for 4 days and loved getting videos and pictures of her with the other dogs. We honestly only met Guada, Antonio's wife, both at our meet and greet and when we dropped off Maya, and she was so helpful with our questions and concerns. This was our first time using Rover, and we are very pleased with how it works and with our choice of sitters. Thank you!!”

“Evan and Megan are phenomenal. They are extremely kind hearted, loving and made me feel very comfortable. They sent continuous updates. I will definitely recommend them and will be using them in the future.”

“Sonia was the best sitter for my dog. She was so sweet and understanding from the moment we met. She kept me updated with Kleo's day and sent plenty of pictures. I will definitely book again, thank you Sonia for taking care of my baby!”

“This is our 3rd stay with Kamille and our dog Zara enjoys her stays. Our dog is social and because Kamille accommodates a few dogs - she really gets to enjoy being part of a pack. Kamille regularly takes the dogs out for walks/park and we always enjoy getting our updates when we’re away. She is very responsive and genuinely enjoys dogs. Highly recommended Kamille as sitter. We’ll be booking another stay in the future.”

“Cal and Kelly took great care (again!) of our timid goldendoodle. Especially since she was still dealing with a minor (noncontagious) health issue when she arrived -- they paid special attention to her and kept me informed throughout her stay. Plus they always send beautiful photos of her. Highly recommend!”

“Brendan has a deep kindness and a calmness which he extends to pets and people alike. My Edna gets the best of care and I get the assurance that she is secure and comfy. Also regular pics and updates. Would rate five x five stars!”

“We all had such a good experience with Erin! Great communication, loved the pictures and Sherman had such a good time on their walks and outings. Highly recommend. Thank you so much, Erin!”

“I've booked with Julia a few times now and always have a great experience. She spends lots of time with my dog and sends lots of photos. She has multiple spaces so she can group dogs by energy level and individualize your dogs experience. I love that my dog gets to socialize with another chihuahua, without being overwhelmed by higher energy dogs. And she has a great yard for the dogs to sniff around.”

“Nadia was spectacular! She walked Ginsburg regularly and kept us updated on her activities, most regularly with photos. She wanted to send more updates, but I shared that it was unnecessary. Periodically would be fine. As a new owner of a 6-month-old puppy, and a first-time boarder, I know that puppy-energy can sometimes be a challenge. Nadia took it all in stride, providing a safe and suitable environment…and assuaging any trepidations we may have had as first-time Rover users. Thx, Nadia!”

“Haydenn is fantastic! Communicates regularly and our dog absolutely loves him. She is usually hesitant to go with dog watchers but whenever she see's Haydenn she RUNS and pulls me over, very excited to see him. Highly recommend!”

“Shaela was AMAZING!!!!!! Very last minute I had to go to the hospital and she was able to take my sweet boy for the weekend. She communicated well and followed directions of care!! My sweet boy came home happy and healthy. Thank you Shaela!!!!”

“My experience with Ms. Gabriela, who watched Oli for a week, was excellent. I could tell she took great care of my dog, sending daily pictures and updates that put my family and me at ease. It was wonderful to see how happy and relaxed Oli was. Gabriela is very kind, lovely, and gentle with dogs. ****I highly recommend Gabriela, and I will definitely use her services again!***”

“She took very good care of my little one who can be shy and timid. She sent pics/videos and updates throughout the days , really appreciate that . Will definitely rebook again”

“Michael was very patient and kind with my anxious cats. He gave me great updates and went out of his way to try and bond with my boys and make them feel comfortable around him. Thanks so much!”

“Karrah did an amazing job with Comet and Victoria! She communicated in detail with each visit, and was able to problem solve when needed. Comet absolutely loved the attention and care Karrah provided, which could be seen in his photos. Victoria was not as appreciative of her care, but Karrah did everything possible to make her comfortable. I will absolutely reach out to Karrah again in the future to see if she would like to work together again!”

“As always, LP was so great with our kitty! I know we are leaving her in good hands and she is well taken care of. LP is responsive and always sends photo updates so we know how she is doing while we are away. Would definitely hire again!”

“Juna took great care of our cats while we were out of town for the holiday! She was very thorough in making sure she knew all the details to best care for our girls and was very communicative throughout her stay with pictures and updates along the way. Will definitely be booking again with her when we can!”

“Larquana is super reliable, responsive, and caring. My mind is at ease when I’m away on travel. Thank you Larquana! I will be contacting you for all future needed care!”

“Jason was wonderful. He was communicative, went above and beyond (like offering to pick up more food when I miscounted and didn't leave enough cans of food), and was generally lovely to correspond with. Me and my cats wholeheartedly endorse!”

“We loved having Karen cat sit for our lovely Luna! Karen was very responsive every time we had a question during the booking process and during her drop in. She kept us updated on how our cat behaved since she tends to be very shy around people, and even shared pics. Looking forward to working with her again!”

“Linda did an excellent job of caring for my two cats. She not only fed them and kept their litter clean, she shared pictures of them at play and relaxing. It was very reassuring to know that they were doing so well in my absence.”

“Thomas took care of our cat for ten days while we were away. He provided excellent care, was attentive, and communicative with me about how our cat was faring. He went above and beyond, also making sure to clean our cat’s food space and play areas. I was quite anxious to leave our cat for so long but having Thomas around gave me great reassurance. I highly recommend this sitter and will be sure to seek out his services again in the future.”

About: Currently a mother of two long hair cats, I have over 6 years of being a cat owner. I used to be a rescue and foster for two years (from kitten to senior cats) with experience of taking care cats and kittens with special needs. I treat all fur babies like family members

“Megan was amazing!!! This was my first time leaving my 5 month old kitten alone and Megan took such good care of him. There were lots of pictures, which really helped me feel better about being away, and it was clear how much Milo loved Megan. Will absolutely use Megan in the future and highly suggest you do too!”

“Brianna was super communicative, took lots of photos of our cat, and provided very detailed updates about what was going on while we were away. She is AWESOME - strong recommend!”

“I want to share my recent experience with Valeria, who looked after Mr. Lucian, my Bengal cat, while I was away in Colorado. Although Mr. Lucian can get a bit anxious when he's not at home, Valeria sent me regular photos that showed that he settled in beautifully under her care. Valeria is a wonderful communicator and punctual when it came to picking up and dropping Mr. Lucian—a real life saver for someone with a busy schedule like mine. Valeria’s genuine enjoyment of spending time with animals, especially cats in my case, really comes through. Her attention to detail and warmth made me feel confident that Mr. Lucian was in good hands. I will definitely reach out to Valeria first for any future pet-sitting needs, and I highly recommend you consider doing the same.”

Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends are my most open days of the week. I am pretty flexible and want your dog or cat to be as comfortable as possible :). Additional pets that do not require constant care will reflect the normal Additional Pet rate (found in services tab). Constant Care is a premium service designed for pets that cannot be left alone for medical or non-medical reasons. This includes animals who have accidents overnight or if the sitter leaves for more than 5 hours for the duration of the booking dates. Services include but are not limited to oral medication administration, assisted movement, assisted feedings, comfort, and companionship needs. Other requirements can be discussed before confirming/payment is made. I currently have a very flexible hybrid job and take night classes three times a week. “Justin and Jeremy are awesome! I needed a last minute sitter for my pampered pup and Justin and Jeremy responded very quickly to my request and I was able to schedule a meet and greet a few hours after speaking. My pup was scheduled for daycare the following day and I know she had a great time as Justin and Jeremy sent pictures throughout the day of her taking a walk, napping, and enjoying cuddles. When I returned to pick her up I could see she was very comfortable with Justin and Jeremy and had a full day playing with other pups as she quickly fell asleep on the car ride home. I would definitely entrust Justin and Jeremy with caring for my pup again! Thank you Justin and Jeremy! -Jessica and Coco Monroe”

“Rene not only has two dogs but much experience caring for dogs. My pup loves to spend her days waking and playing with her canine friends. Thank you for the excellent service!”

“Josefa was wonderful with our dog Toby (mini schnauzer, 8 yrs old, 30 lbs) when she looked after him for the day. She was so warm, welcoming, communicative, and made sure that Toby was comfortable while in her care. Toby was super relaxed when we picked him up, which is a great sign. We're so glad to have found Josefa and will absolutely reach out again for doggy day care. Highly recommended! :)”

“Fitz came home from her daycare stay with Amanda and Andrew so happy and ready for a nap! Amanda has been so easy to communicate with, and hosted us for a brief meet and greet before Fitz’s first stay. She asked lots of great questions about how to keep Fitz safe and happy, and drop-off/pick-up were a breeze. We so appreciate the peace of mind knowing our little girl is being treated like family. Amanda also sent pictures during the day so we could see our pup living her best life. We (and especially Fitz) can’t wait until next time!”

“Happy repeat customer. Our dog hates riding in the car but gets so excited when we pull up to meet Briane. Briane and our family give our dog lots of love during his visits and she is our “go-to” sitter for our little guy.”

About: I've had a passion caring for animals since I was little. I've cared for neighbors dogs and as I get older I've participated in vet camps, volunteered and interned at animal shelters and clinics. I'm also in college majoring in animal science to eventually become a veterinarian! Pet care is already a consistent part of my daily routine so I’m comfortable fitting walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins into my schedule. I plan my days carefully to make sure my guinea pig gets reliable attention, feed, and cuddle time. In my home, I keep my pets safe, comfortable, and on a consistent routine with food, water, cleaning, and attention. I care for my guinea pig daily, so I’m used to being responsible and attentive to pets needs. In clients homes, I follow their pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship.

“Sandi was able to step in for me in an emergency situation and I could not have been more grateful. It’s clear that Sandi is an experienced dog walker in the area and knows just where to take the dogs so they can play and have fun. Thank you Sandi!”

About: I grew up with two cats, a dog, and would walk dogs in the neighborhood I grew up. I’ve trained dogs to sit, stay, speak, and other basic skills. I can drop by any time as long as I have notice! External commitments are flexible. Weekends are when I am mostly available at this time. I believe in leaving things better than you found them, and I love taking care of all living beings. I show that same amount of care in others’ homes.

“We are just thrilled with the care Leo's reliability, kindness, and the care he shows for our dog. I happened to be home when he came by yesterday, and saw that he removed his shoes when he came in. Our family doesn't wear shoes in the house and we have a tray next to the door for shoes, but we never ask or expect guests to remove theirs. Leo is so considerate and observant that he did this on his own. I think this speaks volumes about him. We feel very fortunate to have him caring for Jake.”

“Victor was great! We needed a Rover at the last minute during the holiday season and he was available. He met up with us the same day to go over everything and communicated the entire time we were out of town. We came back to a very happy dog! We can’t thank him enough and will definitely try to book again if he’s available.”

About: I provide dog walking, boarding, and sitter services during weekdays and/or weekends. I live in an apartment with a large unfenced front yard. However my neighborhood has 3-4 nearby, closed off dog parks nearby that I can take the pups to for socializing. I also have an 8 year old lab mix dog, we go on long walks 2-3 times a day (~30 minutes to 1-2 hours). Will play with dogs constantly to get out all of their energy. Preferably dogs that are crate trained. Will adapt to whatever kind of personality your pet has - accepting of all. Because I have a dog of my own, I am very keen on animal behavior - specifically, dog behavior - when walking dogs, I know when they will lunge at a car/dog/cat/squirrel before they lunge, I know when they are about to poop, I can tell when a dog is overexerted and tired, I can tell when a dog is feeling aggressive - all before they perform these actions. My fair share of dog parks has made it very easy for me to discern dog behavior. I will use these skills to best serve your furbaby. Im currently in a remote PhD program, so I have flexibility throughout the weekdays and weekends. Available for dog sitting, walking and boarding anytime on weekends and weekdays. I have an unfenced yard out front of my apartment and 2-3 dog parks in my neighborhood. I also have an 8-year old dog that is friendly with other dogs to keep yours company.
“Deava is great! She’s always very responsive and follows our requested walking/feeding schedule. We’ve even recommended her to some of our neighbors looking for a dog walker. She’s reliable, kind, and truly seems to care for our dog.”

About: I'm a lifelong dog lover and caretaker who has cared for dogs for family, friends, and neighbors my whole adult life (and much of my childhood). I grew up with dogs, and have helped care for puppies, senior dogs, dogs with baggage, and everything in between. Meeting new dogs is always a highlight when out and about in the city, and I'd love to meet and help care for yours! I work from home as a freelancer and contractor, so my schedule is very flexible! Your pet's care will be my top priority -- walks, potty breaks, whatever they need! I have a spacious apartment in DC with a comfortable couch, a rug to lay on, and pillows/beds available for your pup. There is a grassy area outside our apartment (not fenced), and a large park within easy walking distance nearby.

About: I have been around pets all my life, from dogs to cats. It is a great experience being a new cat dad, and it would mean a lot to me to be able to help others. I am currently part-time and looking for full-time work, which means I have a lot of flexibility to take care of pets. I can work anytime during the week or on weekends. Simply put, I treat them like they're in my own home. I want to treat my clients' pets the way their parents want them to be treated. I know that if I want people to treat my cat with care, I would do the same with any pet I work with.

About: Growing up with three dogs, I have learned not only that different dogs have their own lifestyle and personality, but also different feeding habits and behaviors. My clef pallet pup, Daisy, has taught me that patience can lead to happiness and learning with all kinds of dogs. As a recent high school graduate, I am available all summer to care for your furry friends. As I prepare for college, I am building my savings to have a successful first year! Growing up, I have had dogs of different sizes, from teacup size to 50+ pounds. Not only do I have experience with tricky behavioral dogs, but also pups with disabilities, such as clef pallets.
About: I'm a full-time professional with fairly flexible work hours. I have two dogs, a happy, healthy 12 yr old Plott-hound mix, Ollie, and a happy, energetic and loving 2 yr old husky-shepherd mix, Bella., I've watched and cared for dozens of other dogs (friends, family, etc.) over the last 15 years and am generally known as a bit of a 'dog whisperer'. I absolutely love dogs and look forward to taking exceptional care of your pet when you need to leave them in somebody else's care. Ollie, Bella, and I walk for ~4 miles every day around the neighborhood, go to dog friendly parks/fields in my neighborhood, and walks in the woods where they can run off leash. As highlighted in the pictures, Ollie and Bella readily get along with a wide variety of dogs as a walking buddy, a sleeping buddy, or a running-around-a-field buddy. If you leave your dog with us, your dog will have new canine friends, get lots of fun neighborhood walks, and have friends to cuddle up with on the couch / in their dog bed after a long-day of walking, eating, and sleeping :). I typically do two long walks each day (one between ~7-9 AM, the other sometime between 5-7 PM). Will also do a short mid-day walk and/or a short pre-bedtime walk as needed! While Ollie and Bella were crate trained as puppies, at this point they roams freely throughout the house. That said, I'm happy to host crate-trained dogs, and more than comfortable allowing your (trained!) dog to roam free throughout my home much like my pups.
“Jonathan was great with our recently adopted dog that gave him a hard time. He was calm, patient and adapted to the situation as needed, communicating well along the way.”

“George had a great walk and extra time outdoors while I was out for a full day. Thomas responded to George’s needs as an older dog sensitive to hot weather. He loved getting out for fresh air and I got a lot of cute photos!”

“My dog Tako was extremely well taken care of and I got frequent updates. Shanilka was very easy to communicate with and she was very flexible as my travel plans changed due to the weather. I will absolutely be using her again if I ever need!”
“Great experience leaving Oliver with their family. The two of them were conscientious and considerate about understanding Oliver's needs and ensuring that I felt comfortable leaving him in their care while I was out of town. I wouldn't hesitate to leave Oliver with them again!”

“Johanna is absolutely wonderful! Our sweet Millie has some extra needs and Johanna was so understanding and went above and beyond to make Millie comfortable in her home. We are so grateful to have found a reliable, kind, and understanding sitter!”

“Michael was phenomenal as he took care of Sammy, my beagle. He was friendly and communicative and Sammy enjoyed staying with him. I highly recommend Michael.”

“Aaron and Paweena were lifesavers. We had a last-min trip and needed to find someone to watch our dog, Nox, on short notice, and we are so glad we found them. It was clear Nox was happy, comfortable, and very well cared for. Honestly, we are pretty sure she was more upset about leaving Aaron and Paweena than she was about being away from us, which says a lot. We would absolutely trust them with Nox again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for kind, reliable, and communicative sitters.”

“Morgan was fantastic!! This was actually my first time using rover as a customer. She was very understanding and was willing to meet my pup beforehand which made the transition much more comfortable for the both of us. My pup and hers had a wonderful time. Would recommend.”

“Christian truly saved the day for me during a family emergency. She responded quickly, was very flexible, and took such good care of Caia. It gave me real peace of mind knowing Caia was with someone so kind and reliable. I’m very grateful and would absolutely trust her again.”

“Connie was a great host for Indie. She’s very responsive to communication and made sure she understands what Indie needs. She has a warm and loving home with younger children who seemed excited to have a dog visit. Indie quickly integrated herself into the family and was comfortable.”

“Another successful stay and, as always, Michael was incredibly flexible, communicative, and kind! Atlas couldn't have been happier to see him at drop-off and thoroughly enjoyed their weekend adventure to Scott's Run with Ollie.”

“Hermes had a long stay with Kelly, 17 days! Kelly took such good care of him including tick check and wiping his tear marks due to mild allergies. She sent me pictures and updates on Hermes on regular basis and Hermes was definitely a happy dog under her care and playing with her two lovely kids. I will book Kelly again no doubt! Thank you so much Kelly, Hermes loves all three of you!”
