About: I’ve been caring for dogs most of my life, including my own dog, Pete, who I lovingly cared for until he passed away at 12 years old. Taking care of him gave me years of hands on experience with daily walks, feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, affection, and maintaining a consistent routine. When caring for pets, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and calm environment while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. With my own dog, Pete, I always made sure his environment was secure, accessible, clean, and stress-free, especially as he got older. In a client’s home, I would carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medication, crating, house rules, and routines to help pets feel comfortable and maintain familiarity while their owner is away. I understand that every dog has different needs and personalities, so I adapt my care style accordingly. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, playtime, exercise, bathroom breaks, and supervision. If a dog is crate trained or needs to be crated for safety or routine purposes, I’m completely comfortable handling that as well.

This is the longest we’ve ever left our boys and from the very first day we felt completely at ease. Barb went so far above and beyond to care for them—giving one of them oral meds at the last minute, preparing treat toys for them at her visits, perfectly following their feeding arrangement and sending tons of sweet photos. She offered to take our trash and recycling out without us asking, collected our mail, watered our plants and made sure that an important package was picked up quickly from our porch. It was such a huge relief to travel without worry knowing our boys were in incredible hands and we’ve already booked with Barb for two more of our summer getaways. About: I've always felt that animals deserve the best care they can get. I have experience with Senior pets along with Great social skills when talking to people. I'm also a firm believer that Animals will tell you their boundaries and that those should be respected. I also have experience with Rodents such as guinea pigs and Rabbits along with Reptiles. I have a very open schedule when it comes down to taking care of pets. I'm willing to spend as much or as little time with pets that you would like. I have 2 Dogs who are friendly with other dogs. I also have two cats that tend to mind their own and avoid the dogs. They all get along with each other. I don't have a fenced in yard so walks would be our go to exercise. I also have a Guinea Pig but he is kept in his own room the other animals do not have access to.

About: I have always been surrounded by different household animals. Dogs, cats, crabs, fish. I do not currently have the resources to have my own furry friend but have carved time to begin walking and sitting to still have an outlet for pet connection.
