“Caroline was super accommodating with our young puppy's (and our) needs. She was up for us walking along with her, so our puppy could get feel more comfortable around her for the first meeting. Definitely will be requesting Caroline again for help with our puppy!”

“Makayla was wonderful! My dog loved her and she went above and beyond!”

“Andrew was on time and totally respectful. He was very calm with our hyper puppy and did a great job of letting the pup come/warm up to him. We had a few requests (sitting at sidewalks and heeling by people) that make walking the pup a little more work. Andrew was more than happy to work with all of our requests. Definitely recommend!”

About: Hello there! My name is Steffen, and I'm happy pet father of two cats and a dog. As a dedicated Rover pet caregiver, I provide top-notch care for furry friends of all shapes and sizes. Here's what you can expect from my services: Compassionate Care: Your pet isn't just an animal; they're a beloved member of your family. I understand the importance of providing them with love, attention, and companionship while you're away. Whether it's cuddle sessions, playtime, or leisurely walks around the neighborhood, I ensure your pet feels cherished and content. Safety First: Your pet's safety is my utmost priority. I am diligent in following any special instructions you provide regarding their care, including dietary restrictions, medication schedules, and specific behavioral needs. Rest assured, I maintain a safe environment for your pet to thrive in. Also, this isn't something that people usually mention but I'll triple check that everything is locked up safely before leaving you place. I know I worry about that when I'm gone. Open Communication: Communication is key to a successful pet care experience. I keep you updated with regular photo and video updates, so you can see just how much fun your pet is having. Additionally, I am always available to address any questions or concerns you may have, ensuring peace of mind throughout your time apart from your furry friend. Flexible Services: Every pet is unique, with their own preferences and routines. I tailor my services to accommodate your pet's individual needs, whether they require extra playtime, additional walks, or simply a little extra TLC. From puppies to seniors, I adapt to provide personalized care that meets your pet right where they are. Experienced and Reliable: With years of experience in pet care, you can trust that your furry friend is in capable hands. I have a genuine love for animals and am committed to providing the same level of care and affection that you would give them yourself. You can rely on me to be there for your pet when you can't be. Thank you for considering me as your pet caregiver through Rover. I look forward to meeting you and your furry companion soon! I work a hybrid job so I split my work days between the office and home. When I'm working from home, I can generally make any time work for walks or checking in on your pet. When I'm in the office it would need to be before heading in or after I get off around 4:30. It really depends on the week so please check in. My cats are 13 and 3 and my dog just turned two. He was a rescue and we didn't get him until he was a year old already. I understand the difficulties of training a dog and will ensure I stick to whatever strategies you are currently using if applicable. I am unable to keep animals in our home since our youngest cat has anxiety and hides when anything new comes into her environment. I'm happy to walk dogs or check in on any pets staying in your home while you're away. Basically, I'll care for your pet however you see fit.

“Morgan was responsive, attentive to my dog, and communicated with me while I was gone. I had to go out of town with little notice and I have a very sensitive dog but she took him on nice long walks and gave me great recaps. My dog loved her and was happy to see her every time. Would 100% recommend Morgan”

“Barbara has been a blessing to me and my golden retriever. My mom passed away about a month ago and she watched over the dog while I was at work so I was in a situation where if I couldn’t create a life for my dog during the hours I’m away from home I would have to think of giving her up and that would have been devastating. Barbara agreed to come out twice a day to take care of Cassidy and she has been the most dependable, caring, and compassionate person to my beloved dog. She was so patient with Cassidy, she was going through a big adjustment with the loss of my mom. Barbara truly spent a lot of time establishing a bond with her and slowly they have developed a nice routine of playing in the backyard. They relax in the sun, play ball and with all her toys. I am very thankful to Barbara for the dependability, her caring nature and the smile on my dog each day I come home let’s me know I chose the right service and the perfect person to care after my dog. Thank you Barbara!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 14 years old for various friends and family members. I have also grown up with many different animals including cats, dogs, reptiles, and aquatic creatures. Currently, I have two cats, one being senior who requires special attention since he has Lyme disease. Taking care of pets has been a huge passion of mine and fills me with so much joy. In recent years, I have had the opportunity to take care of kittens, puppies, senior cats, senior dogs, and a tortoise. I pride myself in being meticulous and trustworthy when taking care of all animals. I currently work from home which allows me to be flexible with taking care of pets. Along with working from home, I also work 4 day work weeks which gives me lots of extra time to care for your pets. When working from a clients home I am sure to follow all instructions and respect the home. I am meticulous and thorough in cleaning up any pet messes and ensuring a safe space for your pets. I am also good at providing updates and providing extra services if needed (bringing in mail, watering plants etc.)

“Suzanne is caring and very dependable. I am so glad that I found her in our neighborhood. Thank you!”

“Lavinia has been an amazing dog walker. I asked her to walk our dog everyday after she took care of him wonderfully while we were gone. Lavinia is communicative, punctual, and trustworthy. Our dog looks well exercised after each walk with her. She can walk our german shepherd who’s infamous for not walking with strangers. This means a lot!”

About: I've volunteered at multiple animal shelters, and take care of my own two dogs and one cat. I have a big passion for animals, so much I worked at a ferret rescue for three years. In my family animals come first. I'm currently waiting for my lease to end so I can move home after graduating, so I'm more than available to take care of your pet! I keep very special care of both my own pets and yours also. I value pets' safety and comfort and want to give them the best treatment possible!

“Jacqueline is very professional and takes great care of my dogs! She’s always on time and very responsive. She takes care of the house and makes sure to wipe paws from the snow or rain. Definitely recommend her services if you need a reliable walker/sitter!”

“Rachel went above and beyond to meet our pup’s needs. She was very communicative and so sweet! We trust her with taking care of our fur baby without hesitation”

About: I have been working at a dog daycare/boarding facility for over a year now, supervising up to 100 dogs a day. I care for and play with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as give them baths when needed, feeding them meals, and giving needed medications. I have experience with many different kinds of dog behavior to know when they are anxious, scared, or if something is bothering them. Outside of work, I dog sit for family and friends, taking the dogs for walks and adventures so you will always be sure they will be tuckered out by the end of the day. I am currently fostering a dog through K9 Orphans, Mia. She is a sweetheart with severe stranger danger (we are working on it) and I plan on adopting her in the near future. So I have experience with dogs who are reactive toward strangers. Through years of experience working with dogs, I’ve learned no personality is the same. I find it very important to learn what a dog’s specifics needs are and make sure they are met. My job at the daycare is full time and I work shifts that are between 6 and 8 hours (usually late morning through evening). Since I do work later in the day I have plenty of morning time to spend taking care of pets as well as flexibility into watching dogs into the evening as well. Working at a dog daycare I experience everything that comes with working with dogs. I clean up anything you can think of, I understand dog behavior and when they are overwhelmed or anxious, and I know how to handle an aggressive dog. My main priority is to always keep them safe and happy.

About: I'm the girl spending every party with the pet of the house! Every unique dog has been such a treasure to get to know. I prioritize each dogs special personality and needs while I attune to the way they communicate them. I am capable and open to puppies in training, dogs with special needs and unique care requests. Our pets are our children and in my care they will be treated as such! Previously a full-time video editor who has taken a step back from the desk. I now have open availability, weekdays and weekends to fit into any doggie or human schedule. I can jump on last minute drop-in needs and am quick to respond when reaching out. If I am unavailable for any date, it will be marked on my calendar 2 weeks in advance. If booking to stay with me, I have a small dog who is a social butterfly and will bring your dog all of his favorite toys to share. If I'm entering a clients home, I behave as if being watched fully by a nanny cam at all times whether there is one or not. I am a sensitive human who will stay attuned to your dogs needs and requests. When they are in my care, they are my baby too.

“Emily is lovely and my Maddie immediately felt comfortable with her. I was able to schedule with her same day which is great. We will definitely be contacting her regularly. ?”

About: I've walked and exercised dogs. Fed them. Snuggled them. I have a pretty laid-back personality, so I hardly stress out even when a dog is barking at me. I understand they need to get use to a person first sometimes. I work a super laid-back job from home so I have plenty of time to spend with any pets throughout the day, whether they be dogs who need walking or cats who need snuggling. I follow the routines outlined by my clients, and use my intuition to know what the pet is needed or feeling in the moment. It probably sounds corny, but it's the best way I know how to describe it. An attentive person can tell when they're upset or when they're at peace.

About: Hi there! I’m Emilia — a rising sophomore at the University of Rochester and a lifelong animal lover who believes pets make the best teachers (and comedians). For over 7 years, I’ve been lucky enough to care for dogs, cats, and all sorts of furry (and sometimes feathery and scaley) friends for busy families and professionals throughout Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. I’ve also spent time working at an animal shelter, where I cared for a wonderful mix of animals, each with their own quirky personalities and lovable charm, and helped many of them find their forever homes. But beyond all that, my greatest teacher has been my beloved pit bull, Jubal, who has taught me the true meaning of patience, unconditional love, and the importance of belly rubs at just the right moment. Because I’m a pet parent myself, I know firsthand how much love, attention, and silly voices go into making sure our pets feel safe and happy — and I promise to bring that same care to yours. Whether your pet is big, small, shy, neighborhood social butterfly or a little spoiled (no judgment — so is Jubal), I’ll treat them like family and make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve! I am currently in school, but my schedule is flexible and I can arrange to have most of my day available to provide your pets with as much attention as they need. Booking in advance 1 or 2 days is preferable so I can re-arrange my schedule to best accommodate you and your pets. My approach to pet care is centered around love, compassion, and respect. I believe that pets thrive on positive reinforcement and encouragement rather than strict discipline or punishment. I treat every pet I care for with the same attention and respect that I give my own, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I’m also an active person who loves going for walks and playing outside, so I’ll make sure your dog gets the exercise and mental stimulation they need to stay happy and healthy. Rest assured, I’m dedicated to providing your pet with a fun, fulfilling, and loving experience while they’re in my care.

4. Steffen S.
“Steffen takes excellent care of my cat, Coco. I still remember when I went back to Taiwan for a break. I had to let Coco go to Steffen's place, and he reassured me by offering to visit my home first so Coco could become familiar with him before taking her to his place. This thoughtful gesture showed me that he genuinely cares for Coco and always acts in her best interest. Steffen consistently goes above and beyond my expectations. He is caring and responds to messages quickly, which is very important to me. One instance that stands out is when I was away for Christmas. Steffen bought Christmas gifts for Coco, adding a personal touch to his care. It was incredibly sweet and touching. I highly recommend Steffen to anyone in need of pet care! I can guarantee that you won't regret leaving your beloved pets in his care!”
