When I'm working from home, I can generally make any time work for walks or checking in on your pet. When I'm in the office it would need to be before heading in or after I get off around 4:30. It really depends on the week so please check in. My cats are 13 and 3 and my dog just turned two. He was a rescue and we didn't get him until he was a year old already. I understand the difficulties of training a dog and will ensure I stick to whatever strategies you are currently using if applicable. I am unable to keep animals in our home since our youngest cat has anxiety and hides when anything new comes into her environment. I'm happy to walk dogs or check in on any pets staying in your home while you're away. Basically, I'll care for your pet however you see fit.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 14 years old for various friends and family members. I have also grown up with many different animals including cats, dogs, reptiles, and aquatic creatures. About: I have been working at a dog daycare/boarding facility for over a year now, supervising up to 100 dogs a day. I care for and play with dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as give them baths when needed, feeding them meals, and giving needed medications. I have experience with many different kinds of dog behavior to know when they are anxious, scared, or if something is bothering them. Outside of work, I dog sit for family and friends, taking the dogs for walks and adventures so you will always be sure they will be tuckered out by the end of the day. I am currently fostering a dog through K9 Orphans, Mia. She is a sweetheart with severe stranger danger (we are working on it) and I plan on adopting her in the near future. So I have experience with dogs who are reactive toward strangers. Through years of experience working with dogs, I’ve learned no personality is the same. I find it very important to learn what a dog’s specifics needs are and make sure they are met. My job at the daycare is full time and I work shifts that are between 6 and 8 hours (usually late morning through evening). Since I do work later in the day I have plenty of morning time to spend taking care of pets as well as flexibility into watching dogs into the evening as well. Working at a dog daycare I experience everything that comes with working with dogs. I clean up anything you can think of, I understand dog behavior and when they are overwhelmed or anxious, and I know how to handle an aggressive dog. My main priority is to always keep them safe and happy.

For over 7 years, I’ve been lucky enough to care for dogs, cats, and all sorts of furry (and sometimes feathery and scaley) friends for busy families and professionals throughout Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. I’ve also spent time working at an animal shelter, where I cared for a wonderful mix of animals, each with their own quirky personalities and lovable charm, and helped many of them find their forever homes. But beyond all that, my greatest teacher has been my beloved pit bull, Jubal, who has taught me the true meaning of patience, unconditional love, and the importance of belly rubs at just the right moment.
