About: I have been around dogs for most of my life, having owned two dogs from ages 6-20, and I have since gained hands-on experience caring for pets with a wide range of personalities, ages and needs. I’ve pet sat for both cats and dogs, including caring for four cats and two dogs at once, managing litter boxes, wet and dry food routines, playtime and plenty of attention and affection. I also have experience administering oral medications and eye drops to dogs. One experience especially that sets me apart is caring for a Catahoula Leopard dog who was paralyzed in her hind legs, which involved expressing her bladder and assisting with her mobility alongside caring for another dog in the home. I’m comfortable with puppies as well, having provided drop-in care for a golden retriever at both 3 months and 6 months old, as well as extended dog and house sitting for a 2-year old golden retriever. Across my pet-sitting experience, I’ve provided regular walks, baths, light grooming, feeding, playtime and lots of one-on-one attention. I understand every pet has their own routine, personality, and level of care, and I’m comfortable providing everything from my everyday companionship to more hands-on care for pets with special needs. My current schedule is very flexible, as I am studying full-time for the MCAT and create my own study schedule each week. I attend MCAT prep classes on Sunday and Tuesday evenings, but outside of those times, I can easily plan my studying around your pet’s needs. About: For quite a few years I’ve taken care of dogs for family members, families all over Long Island and never disappointed! I’ve loved dogs all my life and still do. They’re honestly like family to me and I always treat my family with care, respect and love which is what a dog needs. I also have 2 dogs of my own and they is just the best thing that happened to me honestly and that’s why I’m working for this company because I’ve found something that I could work for and love doing what I do at the same time. I treat every dog like they’re mine! Every dog that has been to my house they are treated like our family, care for every one of them. I am home full time! Sometimes I go out to run a few errands which means I put the dogs in a crate but my mother works from home 2 days out of the week so if she’s there, she’ll keep them out and moving around on their own! Other than that, I am very free! Other than that, they will be taken great care of by me. In my home I have a huge clean yard that runs through the back, side and front it is fenced so the dogs could run freely around for daily exercise. I also love to walk so if your dog also loves to, we will definitely be a great match! I have two dogs of my own that’ll keep your lovely dog(s) company. They are very playful and welcoming, one is 6 years old and the other one is 5 years old, with all their shots and up to date with all doctor appointments. This is a smoke free house also. Your baby will be happy & safe here!

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats since I was a child, and I can’t imagine life without them! Over the years I’ve cared for pets of all sizes and personalities — Skye terriers, Scottish terriers, a Bernese mountain dog, and now my family’s two rescues: Choco (mixed breed) and Chip (giant schnauzer). I helped raise Choco from day one after her rescue during COVID, so I have plenty of experience with training, routine care, and giving pets a safe space to thrive. Along with my own pets, I’ve cared for neighbors’, friends’, and family members’ dogs and cats — walking, feeding, bathing, and even cooking home meals for them when needed. I also grew up with three cats (Munchie, Mickey, and Ago) so I’m comfortable providing gentle and attentive care to cats as well as dogs. Special skills: I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, rescues, and pets with different temperaments. I’m patient, consistent, and comfortable with a variety of routines and training needs. I’m a 24 years old and currently a Clinical Psychology PhD student at Adelphi University, so I just have classes Monday-Wednesday and the rest of the week is pretty open. I make sure pets get plenty of playtime, potty breaks, and walks. I’m available throughout the week for drop-ins, daycare at your home, and walks. I just ask for at least one day’s notice before confirming bookings. I currently do not board or do day care at my own house. I can provide potty breaks every 3-5 hours, and dogs are welcome to cuddle with me on the couch or even in bed if that’s what they’re used to at home. I believe pets should feel comfortable, loved, and secure so I adapt to their individual needs, whether that means structured walks, active play, or quiet snuggle time.

I work full time remotely from the comfort of my house, which allows me to spend all my time on the couch with the dogs I’m sitting for and take them to play in the backyard or for a walk whenever we want. I am able to accommodate and be flexible with bathroom and feeding schedules as necessary. I have a very large, fenced in backyard with grass and concrete that dogs are able to enjoy. I also have a doggy door if they are trained that they can access the backyard whenever they would like/need to potty (can also be locked shut!). I am happy to follow any specific care instructions no matter how unique or strange you might think they are, I’ve heard it all and love learning every dogs personality and quirks that make them who they are. The dogs I sit for are just like my own pets, they are welcome and encouraged to join me on furniture, to sleep in bed with me or can be crated if preferred and one is provided (although I certainly prefer cuddling with them if allowed!).

From the time we met Kara-Ann at our scheduled Meet & Greet, I knew she would take great care of our two pups! She liked them and they liked her. I was reluctant to take a five day vacation because my cats have never been without me for more than one night and one of them is a Velcro kitty. I chose Jane after meeting her because I could tell she is caring and detail oriented, and out of all the candidates to spend nights at my home, she stood out.
