About: I've lived in a pet-owning family throughout my entire childhood. At one point or another, we owned a tank of fish, loads of different guinea pigs, two birds, and a dog. I am now a proud dog owner myself. I am currently working part-time and avilable week days mornings to have your fur baby (or babies) join my girl on our walks, or evenings to join us at a local dog park to burn off that energy before bed. Jinger loves doggie company, and I enjoy nature. For walks, Jinger and I would pick up your dog and either walk in your neighborhood or on nearby walking trails. If your dog does well with other dogs, there are multiple dog parks near me, which I have a good understanding of when the crowds are minimal, and Jinger loves doggie playmates. Apparently, I am too slow and boring.
About: We have had dogs throughout both our lives and we work together to make sure your fur babies are cared for and have a great time when you can’t be around. We have a dog and a cat at home and three boys so you can imagine it is always an exciting and noisy time in our house. We love going on walks and hikes and all around being outside. We look forward to caring for your puppers and making sure they have a good time while you are away so you don’t need to worry while you are away. Interacting with dogs is always about comfort for them. So we find slow introductions for the first encounter are the way to go and after a good outing or play session around the house or neighborhood, the dog looks forward to the visits as they view it as social time.
“Ashly and my pets have bonded and she is my go-to sitter. My 2 cats know her and look forward to her visits. They know they’re gonna get lots of treats and playtime. Ashley is also very communicative. She lets us know what is going on. This last stay my heater went on the fritz and she let me know right away so that we were able to set up portable heaters. She takes lots of pictures. I trust her implicitly with my 2 fluff balls.”

“Dominique was great and our cats seemed to love her! She came over before we left to meet our cats and go through everything, which was amazing. We will definitely be rebooking if we need a cat sitter again!”

“Very happy with all that Rachel has done for us! Thank you for taking care of Wilbur and Cookie, they are my whole world. Thanks for bringing in the packages and for cleaning up after Wilbur. 😅”

“Bethany took excellent care of my dogs! She was able to effortlessly take care of each dogs’ particular needs and was very accommodating of all their special instructions. She was also very communicative and punctual. I would absolutely recommend Bethany and plan to use her again in the future!”

“Patricia was able to watch our pups with given a short notice due to our schedule changes. She was great with both our 10 year old heeler and our 6 month old heeler (who is a handful). Between her and myself, we have came up with a schedule where she agreed to stop by weekly to let our dogs out! Patricia was great and comes highly recommend!”

About: Through volunteering at an animal shelter and caring for the pets of friends and family, I’ve gained experience caring for animals with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I believe consistency is one of the best ways to help pets feel at ease, so I do my best to maintain their regular routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions you provide. I also keep pet parents updated with photos and messages throughout each visit, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. In addition to caring for your pet, I’m happy to help with small household tasks, such as bringing in the mail, watering plants, or tidying up after your pet, to help make your return home as smooth as possible. I look forward to meeting you and your pet and providing the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m current in school virtually in the afternoons and work part-time closing shift. My general availability is from 9am - 4:30pm. If you need an earlier or later time for walking or care we can discuss as well! “Kayleigh was fantastic with our kitties! She was extremely communicative and let us know immediately about concerns with one of our older cats. We felt very comfortable leaving town and having our cats in the care of Kayleigh, and we wouldn’t hesitate to use her as a cat sitter in the future.”

About: I have loved animals ever since I can remember. As I got older, I wanted to learn how to properly care for them. I volunteered at PetSmart for one year and cat/dog sat for any neighbor or friend that needed a helping hand. Due to family allergies, I didn't have pets of my own, so I continually sought out expereinces and advice that would help me learn those skills. In additon to my abundant pet care knowledge, I am a young and active person, able to keep up with the most energetic of dogs. I am also quite detail-oriented, and will follow your petcare details to a T, ensuring your dog is happy, healthy, and safe in my care. I am currently working a part time job Monday-Friday that has me working mornings until 12pm. Other than that, my schedule is wide open to care for your dog or cat in the afternoon and evening! I will not be able to let your pet into my own home due to some of my family members having allergies. In your home, I will remain respectful of your space and follow any given care instructions perfectly to ensure a happy and healthy pet!
“Somaya is great! One of my doggos threw up and she was very responsive, gave great detail, and cleaned it up. Doggos is fine and she also followed up later in the night to confirm he was still okay. Def recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Stafford
Great sitter! She was very flexible with scheduling, responded quickly, and was able to accommodate my booking on short notice. I really appreciated the fast communication and felt comfortable knowing my two cats were being checked on during her drop-in visits (one needing medication). I would definitely book with her again!

Alyssa is fantastic!! She has watched our babies a couple of times now. Last time she did a drop in visit and came into our smoke detector beeping because of low battery along with some on edge pups. She texted us and then changed the batteries so the puppies would be comfortable waiting on us to return. That to me was true dedication and professionalism putting our babies first. Thank you Alyssa!!!

The only cat sitter we will use! Ashley takes care of our little tiger with care that is second to none. Always asking us for guidance when needed but normally she knows exactly what he needs. She even watered our plants because she noticed it was getting hot. Thank you so much Ashley!

Joni was absolutely amazing. My day Chuey loves her and had a great time with her. Joni took lots of picture and provided updates during every visit. It was wonderful to see my baby taken such great care of during our vacation. Joni is just the sweetest and caring person. She definitely went above and beyond. Because of this, we feel such a close bond with Joni and will continue to use her when we go out of town. What a consummate professional!

Ambar was absolutely amazing!!! I had a last minute request and she helped me out big time! We did a meet and greet first and FiFi loved her!! I knew she was going to be taken care of just like I would care for her! I will absolutely be rebooking with Ambar and you should too!! ❤️

Zack was AMAZING!! He answered any questions/concerns I had with care and took excellent care of my fur babies. I have never used a sitter service before, so I was cautious and a bit nervous, but his attentiveness with my animals, had me worry-free on my whole vacation. Felt like I was leaving them with a trusted friend. I highly recommend him if you need a sitter. 100000/10

- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
