About: We have had dogs throughout both our lives and we work together to make sure your fur babies are cared for and have a great time when you can’t be around. We have a dog and a cat at home and three boys so you can imagine it is always an exciting and noisy time in our house. We love going on walks and hikes and all around being outside. We look forward to caring for your puppers and making sure they have a good time while you are away so you don’t need to worry while you are away. Interacting with dogs is always about comfort for them. So we find slow introductions for the first encounter are the way to go and after a good outing or play session around the house or neighborhood, the dog looks forward to the visits as they view it as social time.
About: I’ve had my own cat for three years, so I’m super comfortable with daily pet care and understanding different moods and personalities. I’ve also taken care of several dogs, another cat, and even a few lizards a couple of times, so I’m used to handling all kinds of animals. Whether it’s keeping dogs happy and active, giving cats the space and attention they need, or making sure reptiles stay in the right environment, I always try to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I treat every pet like they’re part of the family. I have time from the early morning or until 11 at night. I'm working full-time so during the day would be hard to make a visit but for emergencies I have several family members that are available and can drive. My cat (Monkey) likes going outside but he cant go out because he'll get into trouble or get bugs, so I watch him for a couple minutes as he soaks up some sun or sniffs around. He also likes being combed and watching outside from various windows around the house. I set up little perches with comfortable sitting or laying spots. For other friends that don't live with me, I'll ask for their favorite games, toys, or treats to make them feel like I'm a fun and loving uncle. I love interacting with them as much as I can making them feel that they are special.
About: I adore animals, and have sat for both dogs and cats for almost two years. I also have a dog of my own—a pitbull terrier rescue named Anne. I'm willing to adapt to your pet's routines and drop by as many times as requested, or house sit if preferred. I've walked dogs big and small, and am capable of handling some pulling on walks. I am also capable of taking care of multiple pets at once, as well as managing medications and varying dietary requirements. I am a part time college student at Germanna, so I have relatively open availability and can base my own schedule around your pets' needs. I adhere to whatever routine or house rules I am given. I can stay and play with the pets to ensure that they don't get bored out of their minds, and visit at least a few times a day. For pets that stay kenneled between visits, I especially ensure that I spend plenty of time with them while I am there so they won't be cooped up. While outside or on walks, I make sure your pets are properly supervised and am attentive to my surroundings so that your pets stay safe. I can also give photo updates, so that you can see your pets are safe and happy :)

“They were absolutely amazing. I just moved to the area from Texas and had to travel to Colorado for my niece’s birthday, but couldn’t bring my dog. My usual pet sitter is back in Texas, so I was unexpectedly without pet care. When the dates of my trip changed, they were generous and flexible enough to watch Scooby a little longer. Scooby normally takes a while to warm up to new people and can be particularly hesitant around men, but he bonded with them incredibly quickly. They truly exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely book again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and wonderful with pets.”

“Ashly and my pets have bonded and she is my go-to sitter. My 2 cats know her and look forward to her visits. They know they’re gonna get lots of treats and playtime. Ashley is also very communicative. She lets us know what is going on. This last stay my heater went on the fritz and she let me know right away so that we were able to set up portable heaters. She takes lots of pictures. I trust her implicitly with my 2 fluff balls.”

“Caroline is great! She arrives right on time and my pets were super happy to see her. My dog was well exercised and tired when I got home, I will be using her services from here on out. Highly recommend her!”

“Caitlyn was absolutely amazing! She stepped in on very short notice to watch and walk Echo over the last two days, and I couldn’t be more grateful. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Echo was happy and well taken care of. It gave me real peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I truly appreciate her flexibility and willingness to help on short notice. I would absolutely book with Caitlyn again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter or dog walker!”

“Bethany took excellent care of my dogs! She was able to effortlessly take care of each dogs’ particular needs and was very accommodating of all their special instructions. She was also very communicative and punctual. I would absolutely recommend Bethany and plan to use her again in the future!”

About: Growing up in a large Hispanic household with 10 family members, I was always surrounded by dogs and learned from a young age how to care for them with patience and love. After moving out, I continued caring for pets by walking and looking after my neighbors’ and family friends’ dogs whenever they needed help. I’m a huge animal lover and have always enjoyed spending time with pets. Growing up helping care for both my younger siblings and our family pets taught me to be responsible, dependable, and attentive to the needs of every dog I care for. I work Monday through Friday mornings, so I’m available for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet care in the afternoons and evenings. I’m also available most weekends and can provide reliable, attentive care. I always make time to ensure every pet gets the exercise, attention, and love they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special instructions. I’ll treat your home with respect, keep your pet safe, and provide plenty of love and attention. I’ll also send regular photo and text updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“Somaya is great! One of my doggos threw up and she was very responsive, gave great detail, and cleaned it up. Doggos is fine and she also followed up later in the night to confirm he was still okay. Def recommend!”

“We absolutely love Jazmyn!! We prefer to leave our dog home when we’re out of town because she gets anxious and Jazmyn always make sure she is taken care of… and then some! :). We love Samantha! My husband and I work a lot so we usually end up booking Samantha 3-5 times per month. Our dogs (and cats) love her and I never worry about their well being when I know she’s coming over. She’s very flexible with scheduling which is amazing when I need her last minute (usually the case). The check ins are a huge plus!

Ashley did a fantastic job taking care of our senior cat and strong-willed beagle! She communicated with me in a very timely manner and provided great details about her visits. It was nice to not have to worry about how they were doing while we were away for the evening.
Great sitter! She was very flexible with scheduling, responded quickly, and was able to accommodate my booking on short notice. I really appreciated the fast communication and felt comfortable knowing my two cats were being checked on during her drop-in visits (one needing medication). I would definitely book with her again!

Alyssa is fantastic!! She has watched our babies a couple of times now. Last time she did a drop in visit and came into our smoke detector beeping because of low battery along with some on edge pups. She texted us and then changed the batteries so the puppies would be comfortable waiting on us to return. That to me was true dedication and professionalism putting our babies first. Thank you Alyssa!!!

Joni was absolutely amazing. My day Chuey loves her and had a great time with her. Joni took lots of picture and provided updates during every visit. It was wonderful to see my baby taken such great care of during our vacation. Joni is just the sweetest and caring person. She definitely went above and beyond. Because of this, we feel such a close bond with Joni and will continue to use her when we go out of town. What a consummate professional!

Ambar was absolutely amazing!!! I had a last minute request and she helped me out big time! We did a meet and greet first and FiFi loved her!! I knew she was going to be taken care of just like I would care for her! I will absolutely be rebooking with Ambar and you should too!! ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
