About: I have worked with dogs, cats and even birds since I was 7. Most of my experience has been with dogs and have trained and cared for newborns all the way to full grown dogs. I am a full time teacher of kiddos and the patience and kindness required form that experience definitely translates to working with animals. While summer begins I would like to spend more time with the pups so if you need help message me and lets see what I can do! As a full time teacher, I am fortunate to have summers off so my availability is very open. Just message and we can discuss what works best for both. II will not be housing pets and would prefer to care for your pets at your home. I think allowing the pets to stay in their homes is preferred but may take special requests if needed. I would like to have a walk through and understand areas your pet is allowed and not allowed and information about local parks and walk routes. Please provide dietary needs and eating schedule as well. I like to provide pics and updates to the owners a few times a day, Any questions, just ask!

“I flew out of the country for about 3 weeks in 2021 to visit family, leaving our beloved old lady Lea (18-year old chiweenie) under Whitney's care. Whitney was a GODSEND. She took Lea out for timely walks, became very acquainted with all of her needs as a then-15-year old dog, fed her as scheduled, and fed her her supplements, too! A day or so before I flew out, Lea had had a run-in with a baby opossum, and we believe that fleas latched onto her because of this - we hadn't been able to restock her flea medications since we were still coming out of lockdown. Whitney determined this while we were away, and she worked her hardest to rid Lea's bedding of fleas while we were away and giving her multiple baths. Lea loves and still remembers Whitney when she comes to visit every now and then! I've also seen Whitney pet-sit for other animals, and she has been attentive, loving, and caring for the pets as if they were her own! I highly recommend leaving your furry friends with Whitney!”

About: I just wanted to preface I move back to Sacramento August 2024 after a year aboard in Europe for a year, and I’m looking forward to spending time with your pets:) I have taken care of many types of cats and dogs for about 6-7 years now. Either for family or friends or people who have reached out expressing their need for help through connections. I enjoy spending time with animals and can never get overwhelmed with them. I hope to relieve the stress of leaving behind your pets! I have evening classes on Mondays and Wednesday from about 4-9pm. I am just coming back from a year abroad I'm Europe so I will not have any other jobs that will take up time. I have 3 cats and 1 dog. I have grown up around dogs but the cats are more recent as we got them about 6 years ago. My cats are indoor and use the bathroom indoor so I am familiar with cleaning litter boxes and such. My dogs have always been active so walking everyday is a must for them. But if your dog doesn’t need that then that’s ok and just let me know! I will take care of your pets however you wish. You can explain to me all the little things you like and what they are used to. I’m happy to work under your conditions.

About: I've had dogs just about all my life, and am the current proud dog dad a Olive, a 60-pound pit bull rescue. If I can handle that absolute unit, I'm sure I'll get along great with your dog! I'm a communications professional with a very flexible schedule. Taking a walk with a good dog is the perfect break in my workday 🐶 I'm available most weekdays, and can occasionally make time on the weekend. Generally speaking, I'm up for the task no matter your pup's size, age, temperament, or medical needs. I'm very laid back, respectful, able to build lasting rapport quickly with animals, and happy to meet specific needs surrounding medicine, exercise/fetch, diet restrictions, and any other quirk your dog might have.

About: I have fostered numerous dogs and cats since I was a child and have experience with dogs with exceptional needs. I am patient and loving with all animals. I am a Masters of Social Work student at Sacramento State University. Looking to make some extra money in my spare time:) and of course love on some animals!! I have a fenced in yard, but at this time I am not able to host pets at my house as it will stress my dogs out too much.
