“Riker had such a good experience with Roy the past 2 days. Roy offered a meet and greet before the Riker’s first stay. After Riker accepted all the pets, and a quick tangent discussion over Ironman helmets, the house was great, lots if space for doggos. Roy sent pics( @home and out on walks) and updates on how Riker was doing. Pickup and drop offs are easy. Neighborhood is great, pet friendly, convenient but secluded community. Roy made the experience seamless, which made really made it stress free for Riker(and Me). Great experience. Definitely highly recommended.”

About: • Experience with puppies and high-energy breeds • Potty training consistency and routine building • Comfortable with small to medium dogs • Can follow feeding schedules and medication instructions • Skilled with leash walking and structured outdoor time • Familiar with dog park etiquette and socialization Pet care is part of my daily routine, not an afterthought. I structure my schedule around the dogs in my care to ensure they receive consistent attention, exercise, and supervision throughout the day. On a typical day, dogs can expect: • Morning potty break and walk • Structured playtime and enrichment • Supervised social time if comfortable with other dogs • Midday check-ins and affection • Afternoon rest and downtime • Evening walk and wind-down routine
“She was very patient and flexible with my ever changing plans due to weather and my commitments to be at a friend’s bday. I was not able to drop my dog off , but she was more willing to take my smaller dog in and cage him in a quiet room so he would feel safe. She also agreed to take him out for a walk. Due to the weather the same day we confirmed, but on the way cancelled and paid for the day care as this is her livelihood. We could have asked to cancel, but that is not what good pet parents do. They make sure people like Mrs. Achara are taken care of as well. I will use her in the future when we are in West Sacramento. Our dog is almost 15 and she was committed to taking care of him in the way we felt was best for him.”

“I couldn't ask for more from a dog sitter. Marcie followed my instructions, provided a comfortable environment with positive stimulation, kept me updated with messages/pics and was just an overall pleasant person. Wonderful job!”

About: I have loved and cared for dogs for many years, but my real training started with my own dog Haku. He has taught me patience, routine, and how to understand different dog personalities. I am used to daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable. Haku is friendly with children, other dogs, and cats, so I understand the importance of proper introductions and calm environments. Every dog has their own personality, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes each one unique. I work from home, so I get to spend most of my day around dogs. I’m available for boarding on weekends and flexible during weekdays. Your pup will have company, regular walks, and a steady routine instead of being left alone all day. Dogs can sense calm energy, and I bring that into my home. I keep things structured but relaxed. I respect each dog’s personality and never force interactions. Haku runs quality control and makes sure every guest feels welcome.
“Coming off of a very questionable Rover experience, Katherine stepped in at the last minute to help cover one of the days that we were without a sitter due to the previous cancellation. Having a bad taste in our mouths, we were very skeptical but Katherine proved to be amazing. Not only did she explain a lot of other situations and help us set expectations, she was amazingly on top of her care for our pup. Kind, aware, sensitive, and watchful are just a few examples of how she applied herself towards our pup. We will DEFINITELY use her again. Thanks Katherine!!!!!”

About: I started volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter in the 4th grade. Since then I have volunteered at numerous shelters and rescues, including the emergency animal shelter in Oroville after the Camp Fire. I'm Disaster Animal Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) trained, animal CPR and first aid certified, and have years of TNR experience. I have had many exotics as pets, including a reef tank at one time. I have no issue feeding crickets and worms, but I can't feed snakes rodents. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, so that would traumatize me. Lol. I also love rodents, and currently have 2 rescue guinea pigs. Animal care and nutrition are a passion of mine. I'm also an expert teeth brusher! I brush my cats and dogs teeth every night and some of my pet sits as well. I'm very experienced giving medication, even pills to cats and my recently adopted cat Ricky is diabetic. Two of my regular cats I sit take meds, and one gets insulin injections, so I'm very comfortable with both and also know how to check blood glucose. Animals are allowed on the furniture in my home, even the bed. A couple of dogs I regularly sit sleep in the bed with me and my dogs. I treat other people's furbabies the way I would want my furbabies treated. I'm a helicopter pet parent so I totally understand how hard it is to trust someone with the ones you love. If I ever thought something was wrong with your pet I would notify you asap, and I have no issue taking an animal to the vet. I have a rescue dog who has occasional seizures and a rescue kitty with kidney disease that I give sub-q fluids to every day, so I am very comfortable with special needs animals. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to pet care. I actually have a pet thermometer and carry a microchip reader in my truck with an extra leash. You'd be surprised how many times I've used that chip reader! Being a helicopter pet parent I NEVER EVER leave an animal outside alone, not even in my fenced in yard. I don't take chances. I'm also obsessively clean, so your litter box will not be a hot mess when you return, and if your dog uses a potty pad no problem. I also have waterproof vinyl plank flooring so accidents and kitty puke is easy to clean up. :-D. When I board animals it is very much mi casa esu casa! I'm also more than happy to water plants when I do drop-ins as well, since I have them myself and am also a gardener. :-) I work from home 3 days a week and the other 2 days I come home for lunch since the office is only 2.5 miles from my house. I'm home most weekends as well. I follow the care instructions to the letter. If your pup requires a crate it must be brought with them, since mine are not crated. I am comfortable giving medication and supplements, measuring food, following a raw food diet, feeding exotics, etc. I'm also comfortable grooming for an extra fee, but will never ignore a mat in their fur or charge extra for daily grooming like toothbrushing.
“Amazing work! Took great care that my cat was comfortable. Grisel was great at keeping me updated with photos on my cats well being. I'll definitely come back later to book again!”

About: I have 20 years of experience with dogs. I have trained my own dogs as well. I’ve learned a lot about behavior and reinforcement with dogs. I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 6 years old. My schedule is very flexible. I can also assist in overnight sitting as well. I have a labradoodle that is friendly around other dogs. I’m open to any type of dog no matter the needs! I'm working at home so I’m pretty open. we can work something out because I’m very flexible. also if you want i can watch your dog over night. my labor doodle loves to play and wrestle so she can be annoying sometimes but she will get along just fine with other dogs that is not so much people because shes afraid of them.
“Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. My dog is reactive and nervous around new dogs, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make sure he would feel comfortable with her and her dog. We did a meet and greet, followed by a test overnight board and test daycare. It was incredible to see how well my dog settled in with her. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she watches. I got a lot of pictures and videos of my dog while he was with Tanisha (more than I've ever gotten from a sitter). I highly recommend Tanisha!”

“Frankee come home happy and tired! Annie was kind and responsive and available for a last minute request. There were other dogs at Annie’s house so Frankee had plenty of opportunities for play.”

About: I love animals which includes pets! I come from a home that has two of the sweetest pitbulls. Moving out I of course got a cat, and she does well with dogs! I also watch my family member’s dogs at my home and they do excellent with her. Each pet is unique in their quirks and what makes this gig especially fun in figuring out what is it. Hire me to give your pet the care they deserve. I currently only work a part time job for 2 days out the week from 11-4pm. However my partner works full time at home and is my helper in this! We have the same values about pets and will ensure amazing care. Big living room area with tons of space to be in and rooms. Closed doors for alone time but most importantly front door with access to street closed off.
“I used a Jennifer for a day care to see if she will work out for an overnight stay. OMG! She was so awesome! When I picked up my boy he was happy and comfortable! I was very pleased with her. Very caring and attentive as I have a senior dog with issues .. I will use her again and again! Thanks so much , Jennifer 🥰”

“Ollie always loves the days when he gets to spend with Manmeet! In fact at drop off, he usually forgets in there and runs to meet her knowing he's gonna have a great day!”

“I have used Manny for daycare on multiple occasions in recent weeks. I am an extremely neurotic pet parent and I always get nervous taking my dog to a new sitter. Manny went above and beyond in talking through my questions at length and asked thoughtful questions about my dog’s needs. My dog has done really well at Manny’s and I will be using his services in the future!”

“Leo loved his day care experience with Hana! She was so kind and send so many pictures of Leo throughout the day. We will deff be booking with her again. She’s amazing l!!”

“Bari and her husband were so wonderful with our two pups. They sent us plenty of (super adorable) pics and were super communicative during their entire stay. Our dogs came home tired and happy from having such a blast. We can’t wait to go back to “daycare”!”

Southside Park dog parents share their Rover experiences
We had a phenomenal experience using Roy as our pet sitter for Sadie. She is a special-needs dog who doesn’t do well around other dogs, has very high energy, and requires careful handling. Because of that, we take the decision of who cares for her very seriously. Roy exceeded our expectations. He was attentive, punctual, prepared, and extremely confident working with a high-energy dog. He was already familiar with the neighborhood and aware of the other dogs in the area, which gave us additional peace of mind. He followed instructions carefully and demonstrated excellent judgment throughout his time with Sadie. Most importantly, Sadie absolutely loved Roy. She had a fantastic time, and ever since she’s come home, she hasn’t stopped smiling. It’s rare to find someone who can connect so well with a dog that has unique needs. We are incredibly grateful to have found such a wonderful dog sitter in the Sacramento area. I highly recommend Roy to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and capable to care for their dog—especially if they have a high-energy or special-needs dog. 5/5 stars. Roy provided exceptional care, and we wouldn’t hesitate to trust him with Sadie again.

We had a great experience with this sitter. I made the mistake of booking daycare, when I actually needed overnight care. She was very understanding and was able to accommodate the overnight stay on extremely short notice. We cannot thank her enough for the patience and understanding. And for the excellent care of our 4 dogs at that. 1000% will recommend and rebook in the future.

Kylie is everything you hope for in a pet sitter. She met with us beforehand, which immediately put me at ease, and the moment she and Baklava met it was clear she was the right person for the job!! He warmed up to her almost instantly, which honestly says a lot about her because he can be a picky judge of character. She took the time to really understand his quirks (and he has plenty), and I never once felt anxious leaving him in her care. She also took great care of the house, which is always appreciated! We’ll be booking Kylie again without a second thought, she’s earned our complete trust and we’re so lucky to have found her. 10000% would recommend!

We did a trial daycare visit to prepare for a longer stay in a month. Everything went so well! Great communication and several updates were sent throughout the day of them playing and resting! I feel much more comfortable leaving them at a new place for their longer stay after this visit. Thanks Achara for your care with the pups and I can already tell they are looking forward to going back!

Tanisha was fantastic with my dog Morty. I highly recommend Tanisha!

Katherine was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Vigo. She is clearly very experienced and comfortable with all different kinds of dogs, which immediately put us at ease. We felt completely confident leaving Vigo with her for two consecutive days while we visited Sacramento. Katherine has an excellent system for thoughtfully and safely socializing dogs, and it was clear that Vigo felt comfortable with her and engaged right away. Our dog has A LOT of energy and loves to run and play, and he was genuinely happy and very content when we picked him up both days. We couldn’t have been happier with the care Vigo received. I highly recommend Katherine to anyone with dogs of any breed or temperament. We wish she lived closer to us for regular stays but will absolutely go back to her any time we’re in the area.

Caroline was very communicative and took great care of our dog, Millie. Millie takes a while to warm up to people and Caroline was happy to interact with Millie on her terms. She sent pictures and updates throughout the day which really eased our minds! I would book a service with Caroline again.

Patty was amazing and so flexible! We're from out of town and wanted to float the American River and couldn't bring Pretzel with us, so we decided to book Rover for him. She sent us pictures and was very communicative which we really appreciated! We'll definitely be booking with Patty again if we are in town :)

Kristen was amazing!! She took my last minute request for day care and took very good care of my dog Mochi. She was very nice and responsive, thoughtful of the way she introduced mochi to her dogs, and even proactively sent me tons of cute photos of Mochi. Would recommend !!
