Pet care is central to my daily routine. Working from home allows me to ensure that your dogs receive the attention, engagement, and care they deserve. I offer daily walks tailored to your dog’s energy levels, from relaxed strolls to more energetic outings of up to 5 miles. With a fully fenced yard, your dog will have plenty of space to run, explore, and burn off energy in a safe environment.

When caring for pets in my home, I prioritize creating a calm and comfortable environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs. Whether it’s senior dogs, puppies, or pets with special requirements, I adjust my routine to provide the best care possible. Special feeding schedules are easily accommodated, ensuring your pet’s meals are provided on time, and any dietary needs can be met. While I provide basic bedding and leashes, I recommend bringing your dog’s own bed or crate to help them feel more at ease and familiar in my home. I have extensive experience handling pets with specific needs, such as senior dogs or those with hearing impairments. I use nonverbal cues and sign language extensively to communicate more effectively. Additionally, I’m able to administer medications, including sub-dermal injections.

Information Katherine O. would like to know about your pet
? Behavior: Please let me know if your dog has any behavioral triggers, such as reactivity to other dogs, resource guarding, or leash aggression. Since I have my own dog and often board multiple dogs at once, all pups must be friendly with others. I am unable to host dogs with a history of biting or human aggression. ?️ Food: Share your dog’s dietary preferences, feeding schedule, portion sizes, and any restrictions—including treats—so I can maintain their routine. ? Health: If your dog takes medication, please provide the medication schedule and any special instructions. I can administer medications, including sub-dermal injections. Let me know about any existing health concerns that may require extra attention. ? Preventative Care: All dogs must be up to date on flea and tick prevention before their stay. Providing these details in advance helps me create the best possible experience for your pup!
A typical day
We like to have fun over here! For active dogs, we get our exercise and mental stimulation with long brisk walks and nature hikes. A game of fetch with the Chuck-It is one of my favorite ways to wear them out, while trips to the dog park offer social time with other furry friends. Outings to Green Acres Nursery are a favorite for dogs to get new sights and smells. I also do a lot of gardening and weeding for relaxing sunshine naps or supervised yard-time. Music is also a big part of the experience! I play a variety of musical instruments and love to sing—something many dogs enjoy joining in on, whether by howling along or simply relaxing to the sound. Every day is filled with movement, adventure, and moments of joy!

Pet care experience
Nice to meet you! My name is Katherine, and I am a responsible and consistent dog lover. My offerings include a fully fenced, enormous yard for plenty of space to run and play freely and a home with no steps or staircases for dogs with mobility issues. Car rides add adventures (and maybe even a pup-cup) for dogs who love exploring! For high-energy animals, brisk walks of up to 5 miles provide a great outlet for exercise and mental stimulation. I have two dogs of my own who shape the social experience here. Brûlée is a sweet, gentle, 2-year-old female (50 lbs) who brings a joyful, steady, and comforting presence. She reads other dogs well and respects their space. Astro is a nine-month-old Husky/Akita runt (30lbs). He was a neighborhood stray who chose my porch as his home. He can feel unsure during first meetings with both humans and dots, but warms up quickly once he gets his bearings. Together, Brûlée and Astro give visiting dogs a welcoming, social, and balanced environment. With a work-from-home setup, dogs in my care receive near-constant companionship and attention throughout the day. Whether they need frequent potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, or a little extra space, I’m always available to meet their needs. Setting appropriate boundaries comes naturally, allowing me to reinforce good behavior based on each dog’s training level. Experienced in managing multiple dogs at once, I provide individualized attention while maintaining a balanced and harmonious environment. Every dog is unique, and I tailor my care to match your pet’s personality and needs. Having cared for my own senior deaf dog (Australian Cattle Dog), I’ve developed strong skills in using sign language and other nonverbal cues, ensuring that all dogs—regardless of ability—feel safe, understood, and loved. That can mean a slower approach for seniors, reinforcing training through signs, or simply creating a secure and comfortable space while you’re away. I look forward to developing a lasting relationship with you and your dog!
Reviews

Katherine was great! She was conscientious and accommodating about introducing our dogs and making sure my senior, special needs dog would be okay in the new environment. I'm always nervous about finding care for Stella when I have to travel, but I felt very comfortable leaving her with Katherine. And I'm grateful she kept me updated on how she was doing during her stay. Thank you!

Katherine was so patient and kind with our overly nervous pup, I would absolutely book with her again!

Tucker was so happy and well cared for while we were away.

Always the best of the best. Thank you, Katherine!!!
