I found Marcie on Rover and she responded quickly on such short notice. I contacted her on a Friday and she was able to accommodate our pit bull Jada the next day. Marcie was courteous enough to provide photos of Jada while at the dog park. Jada looked like she enjoyed her time with Marcie. We look forward to using Marcie again in the future.

Chris is great! Butters is the sweetest dog and they both made my anxious pup comfortable almost immediately. His yard and home are tidy and safe. He also went to great lengths to put my mind at ease and was incredibly flexible and easy to work with. He also sent me a really cute video of my dog playing with his dog and the neighbor's dog. Above and beyond service for a very short daycare highly recommend!!

Bari was phenomenal and really exceeded our expectations. She gave us updates throughout the day and took a ton of great pictures. Her little dog Coco is the cutest, and by the end of the day was best friends with our lil pup.

About: I have taken care of my own fur friends (cats and dogs) since time immemorial! I've had dogs both large and small, quiet and rowdy, and feel comfortable with caring for them all. From a young age, I helped to take care of all aspects of caring for the family's furry companions, and have done so for friends--both over the weekend and just checking in to make sure they have food, water, and companionship. I also adore cats! I've got one of my own, Cleo, who I adopted last year. I have over 10 years of experience caring for cats and understand them very well. I have a gentle nature that I think animals respond well to, and can gauge an animal's personality to find ways to best approach and care for them. My cat Cleo requires pets first thing in the morning, so that is at the top of the to-do list. After this, I ensure that she has fresh, filtered water and enough food. I work from home, so she is near me lots and enjoys hourly rubs. I also ensure that she stays active and mentally stimulated with toys and our version of fetch (me just running back and forth). She gets groomed at least 3-4 times per week, emptied box daily, and I frequently monitor her food and water intake and other habits (e.g. self-grooming) cause I want to make sure she's with me for the long haul! I am a very attentive, loving human companion. First and foremost, I ensure my cat has her most basic needs: food, water, clean litter. My cat had some issues with not keeping food down, so I did some reading and got her elevated bowls. If Cleo could talk, she'd tell you that when she was having issues, I was right there comforting her. Luckily, Cleo does not have a habit of eating foreign objects, but I ensure that the floor is clear of any string or debris that she could choke on, or that may cause her sickness. When I have helped out friends, I ensure that I follow their directions exactly as they are written, and if anything is unclear, ensuring that I clarify or follow up. It means a lot that someone would entrust their fur family to me, so I would treat their cat or dog with the same love and attention that I give mine.

She was very patient and flexible with my ever changing plans due to weather and my commitments to be at a friend’s bday. I was not able to drop my dog off , but she was more willing to take my smaller dog in and cage him in a quiet room so he would feel safe. She also agreed to take him out for a walk. Due to the weather the same day we confirmed, but on the way cancelled and paid for the day care as this is her livelihood. We could have asked to cancel, but that is not what good pet parents do. They make sure people like Mrs. Achara are taken care of as well. I will use her in the future when we are in West Sacramento. Our dog is almost 15 and she was committed to taking care of him in the way we felt was best for him.

About: Nice to meet you! My name is Katherine, and I am a responsible and consistent dog lover. My offerings include a fully fenced, enormous yard for plenty of space to run and play freely and a home with no steps or staircases for dogs with mobility issues. Car rides add adventures (and maybe even a pup-cup) for dogs who love exploring! For high-energy animals, brisk walks of up to 5 miles provide a great outlet for exercise and mental stimulation. Recently I adopted a sweet, gentle, female dog. She loves playing with other dogs and brings a joyful, social energy to my home. She’s great at reading other dogs’ body language and understands how to respect their space, making her a thoughtful and friendly companion for dogs staying at our home. With a work-from-home setup, dogs in my care receive near-constant companionship and attention throughout the day. Whether they need frequent potty breaks, playtime, cuddles, or a little extra space, I’m always available to meet their needs. Setting appropriate boundaries comes naturally, allowing me to gently reinforce good behavior based on each dog’s training level. Experienced in managing multiple dogs at once, I provide individualized attention while maintaining a balanced and harmonious environment. Every dog is unique, and I tailor my care to match your pet’s personality and needs. Having cared for my own senior deaf dog (Australian Cattle Dog), I’ve developed strong skills in using sign language and nonverbal cues, ensuring that all dogs—regardless of ability—feel safe, understood, and loved. That can mean a slower, more patient approach for seniors, reinforcing training through sign language, or simply creating a safe and loving environment while you're away. I look forward to developing a lasting relationship with you and your dog! Pet care is central to my daily routine. Working from home allows me to ensure that your dogs receive the attention, engagement, and care they deserve. I offer daily walks tailored to your dog’s energy levels, from relaxed strolls to more energetic outings of up to 5 miles. With a fully fenced yard, your dog will have plenty of space to run, explore, and burn off energy in a safe environment. When caring for pets in my home, I prioritize creating a calm and comfortable environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs. Whether it’s senior dogs, puppies, or pets with special requirements, I adjust my routine to provide the best care possible. Special feeding schedules are easily accommodated, ensuring your pet’s meals are provided on time, and any dietary needs can be met. While I provide basic bedding and leashes, I recommend bringing your dog’s own bed or crate to help them feel more at ease and familiar in my home. I have extensive experience handling pets with specific needs, such as senior dogs or those with hearing impairments. I use nonverbal cues and sign language extensively to communicate more effectively. Additionally, I’m able to administer medications, including sub-dermal injections.
