“Grisel is amazing! I highly recommended. I needed somewhere to send my dog for the day while I was gone. She was able to easily accommodate us and she’s provided excellent care for my dog! I got frequent updates and her and her daughter were even able to drive my dog home. I will definitely be using her again!”

About: I started volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter in the 4th grade. Since then I have volunteered at numerous shelters and rescues, including the emergency animal shelter in Oroville after the Camp Fire. I'm Disaster Animal Rescue Team (D.A.R.T.) trained, animal CPR and first aid certified, and have years of TNR experience. I have had many exotics as pets, including a reef tank at one time. I have no issue feeding crickets and worms, but I can't feed snakes rodents. I'm a lifelong vegetarian, so that would traumatize me. Lol. I also love rodents, and currently have 2 rescue guinea pigs. Animal care and nutrition are a passion of mine. I'm also an expert teeth brusher! I brush my cats and dogs teeth every night and some of my pet sits as well. I'm very experienced giving medication, even pills to cats and my recently adopted cat Ricky is diabetic. Two of my regular cats I sit take meds, and one gets insulin injections, so I'm very comfortable with both and also know how to check blood glucose. Animals are allowed on the furniture in my home, even the bed. A couple of dogs I regularly sit sleep in the bed with me and my dogs. I treat other people's furbabies the way I would want my furbabies treated. I'm a helicopter pet parent so I totally understand how hard it is to trust someone with the ones you love. If I ever thought something was wrong with your pet I would notify you asap, and I have no issue taking an animal to the vet. I have a rescue dog who has occasional seizures and a rescue kitty with kidney disease that I give sub-q fluids to every day, so I am very comfortable with special needs animals. I'm pretty OCD when it comes to pet care. I actually have a pet thermometer and carry a microchip reader in my truck with an extra leash. You'd be surprised how many times I've used that chip reader! Being a helicopter pet parent I NEVER EVER leave an animal outside alone, not even in my fenced in yard. I don't take chances. I'm also obsessively clean, so your litter box will not be a hot mess when you return, and if your dog uses a potty pad no problem. I also have waterproof vinyl plank flooring so accidents and kitty puke is easy to clean up. :-D. When I board animals it is very much mi casa esu casa! I'm also more than happy to water plants when I do drop-ins as well, since I have them myself and am also a gardener. :-) I work from home 3 days a week and the other 2 days I come home for lunch since the office is only 2.5 miles from my house. I'm home most weekends as well. I follow the care instructions to the letter. If your pup requires a crate it must be brought with them, since mine are not crated. I am comfortable giving medication and supplements, measuring food, following a raw food diet, feeding exotics, etc. I'm also comfortable grooming for an extra fee, but will never ignore a mat in their fur or charge extra for daily grooming like toothbrushing.

“Wunna was amazing! The moment our dog, Shadow, met him, they got along and Shadow trusted him immediately. He was flexible and accommodating of our schedule. He responded to our messages quickly too, which we really appreciated.”

About: I love animals which includes pets! I come from a home that has two of the sweetest pitbulls. Moving out I of course got a cat, and she does well with dogs! I also watch my family member’s dogs at my home and they do excellent with her. Each pet is unique in their quirks and what makes this gig especially fun in figuring out what is it. Hire me to give your pet the care they deserve. I currently only work a part time job for 2 days out the week from 11-4pm. However my partner works full time at home and is my helper in this! We have the same values about pets and will ensure amazing care. Big living room area with tons of space to be in and rooms. Closed doors for alone time but most importantly front door with access to street closed off.
“Manuel is wonderful!! He took our dog Chunk in for a couple days of doggy daycare and the experience could not have been better. Not only did he have a great setup, he is responsive, sent photo updates, and genuinely cared about my dog being comfortable and happy!”

“Tanzina was great with Cooper and kept me updated throughout the day! He has anxiety and she was very understanding of it even as it took time for him to acclimate to her place.”
“Leo loved his day care experience with Hana! She was so kind and send so many pictures of Leo throughout the day. We will deff be booking with her again. She’s amazing l!!”

About: Having grown up with animals including dogs, cats, chickens, fish and even hamsters, I have always felt connected to animals and pride myself in my ability to help them live their best lives! I am currently a full-time high school teacher with a fixed 8am - 3:30pm work day most weeks Monday - Friday, so I am primarily only free after 4:30pm during the week to help out with all of your pet needs. During the summer and during short breaks throughout the school year I am free nearly 24/7! I am happy to help out as much as I can! I am new to the Rover app as a sitter; however, having a dog and a cat in my home I am knowledgeable in how to best take care of these animals both inside and outside of the home.
“I found Marcie on Rover and she responded quickly on such short notice. I contacted her on a Friday and she was able to accommodate our pit bull Jada the next day. Marcie was courteous enough to provide photos of Jada while at the dog park. Jada looked like she enjoyed her time with Marcie. We look forward to using Marcie again in the future.”

“Bari and Felix were great!! They sent us plenty of pictures and updates and our dog had a great time at their house, and even made a friend. We'd definitely have him stay with them again!”

About: Hi!! I’m Grace! Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with both dogs and cats and can’t imagine a home without them. I currently have a two-year-old Border Collie named Cosmo, who absolutely loves making new friends and playing with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Being a dog mom myself, I know how much our pets mean to us, and I promise to provide the same love, care, attention, and affection that I would want for my own pup. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, happy, and at ease while you’re apart. 🐾 💕 I am a student and am off for the summer, so I have lots of time to spend with furry friends! I am so excited for our furry friends to meet and spend quality time together! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where pets can feel at home while you’re away. I live in downtown Sacramento just a short walk from a park, so your pup will have plenty of opportunities for walks, exercise, fresh air, and playtime. I always follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, and any special instructions. I understand that every pet is unique, so I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind while your furry family member is in my care.
“Coming off of a very questionable Rover experience, Katherine stepped in at the last minute to help cover one of the days that we were without a sitter due to the previous cancellation. Having a bad taste in our mouths, we were very skeptical but Katherine proved to be amazing. Not only did she explain a lot of other situations and help us set expectations, she was amazingly on top of her care for our pup. Kind, aware, sensitive, and watchful are just a few examples of how she applied herself towards our pup. We will DEFINITELY use her again. Thanks Katherine!!!!!”

“We did a trial daycare visit to prepare for a longer stay in a month. Everything went so well! Great communication and several updates were sent throughout the day of them playing and resting! I feel much more comfortable leaving them at a new place for their longer stay after this visit. Thanks Achara for your care with the pups and I can already tell they are looking forward to going back!”

About: Sacramento sitter with cats and experience in caring for elderly dogs. Home full-time, calm with anxious pets, and reliable for last-minute requests. Comfortable with administering medicine. For a long time, my daily routine centered on my elderly dog, his meals, his medications, his slow morning walks. Since he passed, I've had a lot of time, energy, and love that used to be his and nowhere to put it. My cats at home are sweet but pretty independent. Honestly, they prefer some space from me, and they're perfectly happy when I'm out caring for someone else's pet. I'm home most of the day, my schedule is genuinely open, and pet care isn't something I'm squeezing in around my life. t's where I want to spend the time. I can do midday drop-ins, multiple visits a day, last-minute requests, and weekday walks without it cutting into anything else. Honestly, I'd rather be outside than in. When I'm caring for your pet at your home, expect long walks, park trips, and as much fresh air and exercise as your dog has the legs for. I'm a big believer in tiring a pup out the good way. Real movement, sniff time, and play, rather than letting them snooze on the couch all afternoon. I even make sure senior pups get their sniff time in by making a 20 minute walk around the block last a couple hours with plenty of breaks and water! For cats, I focus on play sessions, brushing, and one-on-one attention before topping off food and water. I do have an apartment if you ever need a place to drop your dog off, but I'll be upfront: I share it with cats, so it's only a fit for calm, cat-friendly pups. For everyone else, I'll happily come to you.

Grace was wonderful! She was able to watch Indy on short notice while we spent the day exploring Sacramento, and she took great care of him. She made sure he got plenty of exercise and attention, and it was clear he had a great time with her. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. We’d happily book with Grace again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Athena was happy to stay with Janessa. We got cute photo and updates during the day which was really helpful for us because Athena is not used to stay away from us. We had to prolong her stay for a couple of hours and Janessa was super understanding and helpful.

Anna was amazing! Gracie was a little nervous the first day being in a new place but Anna was super friendly and welcoming. Gracie was so excited to go to doggy daycare everyday and see Anna and her dog. She was always happy and tired at pick up after a fun day of playing. Anna was great with updates and photos throughout the day, as well as super flexible with timing. Will definitely book her again!

Heath Bar didn’t make it easy - he barked the entire time at Danielle’s unless she was there with him, I k ew he had separation anxiety but the only time it presented for the last several years was while he was alone in the car. His being alone in the house was not a problem for him. My take away is to be certain someone will be at home with him for most of the time he will be in someone else’s care. Danielle was very responsive and kept me informed the day Heath was in her care.

We had a great experience with this sitter. I made the mistake of booking daycare, when I actually needed overnight care. She was very understanding and was able to accommodate the overnight stay on extremely short notice. We cannot thank her enough for the patience and understanding. And for the excellent care of our 4 dogs at that. 1000% will recommend and rebook in the future.

Kylie is everything you hope for in a pet sitter. She met with us beforehand, which immediately put me at ease, and the moment she and Baklava met it was clear she was the right person for the job!! He warmed up to her almost instantly, which honestly says a lot about her because he can be a picky judge of character. She took the time to really understand his quirks (and he has plenty), and I never once felt anxious leaving him in her care. She also took great care of the house, which is always appreciated! We’ll be booking Kylie again without a second thought, she’s earned our complete trust and we’re so lucky to have found her. 10000% would recommend!

I have used Manny for daycare on multiple occasions in recent weeks. I am an extremely neurotic pet parent and I always get nervous taking my dog to a new sitter. Manny went above and beyond in talking through my questions at length and asked thoughtful questions about my dog’s needs. My dog has done really well at Manny’s and I will be using his services in the future!

Katherine was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Vigo. She is clearly very experienced and comfortable with all different kinds of dogs, which immediately put us at ease. We felt completely confident leaving Vigo with her for two consecutive days while we visited Sacramento. Katherine has an excellent system for thoughtfully and safely socializing dogs, and it was clear that Vigo felt comfortable with her and engaged right away. Our dog has A LOT of energy and loves to run and play, and he was genuinely happy and very content when we picked him up both days. We couldn’t have been happier with the care Vigo received. I highly recommend Katherine to anyone with dogs of any breed or temperament. We wish she lived closer to us for regular stays but will absolutely go back to her any time we’re in the area.

Caroline was very communicative and took great care of our dog, Millie. Millie takes a while to warm up to people and Caroline was happy to interact with Millie on her terms. She sent pictures and updates throughout the day which really eased our minds! I would book a service with Caroline again.
