I'm the kind of person who says hi to pets before their owners. 😅 I’ve been surrounded by dogs since I was a baby—they’ve always been family to me. During college, I fell in love with cats when I adopted an 8-week-old Bengal kitten. Sadly, after 10 years of companionship, I had to say goodbye to him. Now, I’m back on Rover to do what I love: caring for animals. I offer drop-in visits and dog walking, but my favorite thing is hosting your fur baby at my place while you’re at work or on vacation. I live in a cozy one-bedroom apartment on a quiet street in East Sac (recently moved here from SoCal). My place has a private fenced backyard with trees and is right across from a park. It’s dog-friendly and perfect for hosting– I can host up to 4 dogs at a time. I'm a registered dietitian working from home, I spend most of my day on calls, so its important your dog does not bark a ton. My calls are usually 30 minutes long with 15-minute breaks in between, plus a lunch break and morning/afternoon downtime. I’m also experienced in leash training, crate training, and teaching tricks—positive reinforcement is my go-to method. My place also has a bath setup with a shower door and corded shower head, so I can easily give your dog a bath if they’re comfortable with it and you’re interested. WOW! 5 stars for Miss Katie K! What a fun and loving sitter. My sweet pitty girl Luna has never felt more at home. She sent some fun pictures and really gave her so much attention and lots and lots of exercise. She’s got a great little yard for fetch and a wonderful breakfast nook for morning coffee and doggie window watching. She was very easy to communicate with and was very flexible with timing for drop off and pick up. What a great experience for my Luna. I could tell she was going to miss Katie the moment we left.

Katie loves dogs!! She loves walking, running, taking them on hikes and just plain giving them a lot of love! She will follow your lead regarding discipline. She is very intuitive with dogs in particular because she loves being active. She is very, very trustworthy.
I have known Katie for years and she is an amazing dog sitter and dog mom! She sometimes walks and dog sits my dog Pajamas and is always kind, caring, responsive, and energetic with my pup. I would highly recommend her - your dog is in great hands with Katie!

Schedule
I work from home, a flexible, low-stress, 8-hour shift with many breaks throughout the day, so I can be present with your baby for chunks of time.

I have a fenced yard and a screen door/gate for both my front and back doors. It is super quiet here, and I have trees in my backyard and a park across the street for us to go play.
A typical day
I love to teach dogs the following commands, if they don't already know them: sit, lay down, stay, come, paw, waiting to eat and then saying "okay!" when they're allowed to eat. I also love playing with toys to keep them stimulated. And if your dog likes to rough house, I love lightly wrestling them. I am used to dogs that are active and high energy!
