OMG—Mallory was more than we had hoped for in a dog walker. We discovered at the last minute that we needed a dog walker, and she stepped up. When we needed to make changes, she was patient with our disorganization. But above all, she a Was so sweet and caring of our beloved Delilah (and our cat Sammy too). She is now our go-to dog walker. About: I originally come from the sunny (and blazing hot) state of Florida! I moved to the greater NYC area in 2014 to pursue a career in the performing arts and I live with my husband in a lovely and charming 1920's apartment building. I've been around so many kinds of animals my whole life. You name it, I have probably owned it as a pet or spent months with them! Some of the pets I've owned include: lizards, cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, ferrets, birds, mice, hamsters and more! I also love cats, but can't own or board due to my husband's allergies - so I get my fix by sharing a little love to strays and taking care of my neighbors furry families! My favorite kinds of dogs are mixes of pit bulls and labs. My husband really loves beagles and hounds. I'm in theatre so my schedule can vary from season to season, but someone is almost always home with our furry friends. We try very hard to make sure they feel loved, socialized, and engaged while here (unless they'd rather just lay around haha). I require meet and greets with new clients before all stays to ensure the pup would be comfortable in my home. During that time we discuss what your pup needs and what we are able to provide. Feel free to ask any questions!

About: For the past ten years, I’ve been the trusted go‑to pet caregiver for friends and colleagues; whether they’re heading out for a weekend getaway or simply stuck at work longer than expected. I know how hard it can be to trust someone else with your fur-baby, which is why I treat every pet I take care of as if they were my own. I have done everything from daily dog walks and feeding routines to scooping litter, administering medication, and giving plenty of love and attention. I make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Supporting happy, healthy pets brings me so much joy, and I’m committed to giving your furry family member the same level of care you would! I am currently in the process of switching full-time jobs, so my availability is open to daily walks and pet-sitting seven days a week! I will make sure to let you know if my availability changes. I live in an apartment, so all pet care takes place in my client’s home. I know how important trust is, and I treat every pet like my own—following your routines, keeping their space safe and tidy, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away!

About: I’ve had two dogs! My first dog was a Maltese named Rocky. He passed away in 2017 from lymphoma. 💔 Right now, I have a 9-year-old terrier mix named Lila! She’s full of energy and loves running around the yard, going for walks, and playing fetch with her toys. I’ve been helping take care of my family’s & friends dogs since I was a little girl, and I’ve always loved dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. 🥰 I’m currently in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at FDU. I started in May, and the program is 15 months long, so I’ll be graduating in September 2027. My classes are a mix of online and in-person, but I’m generally available all day on Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to house sit and available Tuesdays and Thursdays for drop-ins and walks! Whether your dog needs a walk, a trip to the park, someone to play with, or just a buddy to relax with on the couch, I’m happy to help! I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, love, and care while you’re away. Just let me know what you need, and I’d be happy to make it happen. 😊

I had Taylor come walk our dog, Lola, and from the moment they met, Lola gravitated toward her. She immediately felt Taylor’s calm, kind energy , she’s soft-spoken, gentle, and very easy-going. By the time Taylor left, Lola was giving her hugs and kisses! It went so well that I booked her again the very next day for an earlier walk. Taylor was on time, super communicative, and Lola actually cried with excitement when she saw her again. We’re so happy to have potentially found our go-to dog walker!

  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
