“Me and my husband needed some help in ensuring our sphynx cat Boo felt loved and cared for during our absence for a few days. Communication with Jennifer was smooth and efficient. Before leaving for the trip, I had a thorough discussion with her about our cat's daily routine, and any specific instructions we had. Her professionalism and willingness to listen to any concerns immediately put us at ease. During our time away, Jennifer provided regular updates, which included photos of Boo. I was worried as Boo is not always comfortable with new people, but he was acting friendly and obviously felt good being with Jennifer, and received plenty of affection.”

“This is the second time we have had Diane cat sit for us. She is great with our cats and always communicates everything we need to know! Thank you Diane we will definitely book with her again”

“Shirley did an incredible job looking after our two cats while we were away for the weekend. She fed and played with them and was very immediate to respond. Definitely a top quality Rover for sure.”
About: I have owned and fostered many different types of animals. I get along well with cats and dogs, and have fostered animals with special needs (bathing, ear cleaning, medication administration). I love to go on long walks and create a connection with animals. My goal is to make your’s and your pet’s lives easier by providing a safe, trustworthy, and reliable service. I currently work remotely and have a car, so I am very available for day-time walks and check ins, as well as into the evening and on weekends. I am happy to adhere to any special needs for your animals, but I’ll always be honest about what I have experience doing. I will follow all care instructions, and make sure to take the safest walking route for your dog!
“Jullien was great with my cat Max. He sent daily updates with photos and was quick with responses. Max was very comfortable with him and I will definitely book with Jullien again.”

About: Hello! My name is Kiana, and I'm a 30 year old pet lover with a 3 year old daughter. After recently losing my beloved Shiba Inu, Phoenix, on July 20, 2024, I’ve felt the absence of my furry friend deeply. However, I am excited to return to dog walking and reconnect with the wonderful dogs and their owners I’ve missed so much. Growing up surrounded by a variety of pets, including rabbits, fish, dogs, cats, and birds, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for animals. My previous dog, Cocoa, a Shih Tzu, lived a joyful 14 years, and I cared for two parakeets, Aqua and Flora, until we lost them after Hurricane Sandy. Phoenix was a cherished part of our family, and her memory inspires me to continue providing exceptional care for pets. I’ve had the pleasure of caring for a range of dogs from lively puppies to gentle seniors. Each pet is unique, and I treat every one as if they were a part of my own family, ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve. I’m happy to send photos and videos of your pets to keep you updated while you’re away. With a flexible schedule, I am available for walks and drop-ins within a reasonable radius from home. My approach is positive, energetic, and attentive, making sure your pet is safe and well-cared-for. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely loves pets and is eager to build new connections, please reach out. I look forward to the opportunity to care for your furry friends and reconnect with the wonderful pet community. Thank you! As a dedicated mom to a 3 year old daughter and someone who recently experienced the loss of my cherished dog, Phoenix, I truly understand the balance of managing both family and pet care. My daily routine is thoughtfully organized to accommodate the needs of both my child and the pets I care for, ensuring that each receives the attention and care they deserve. My experience as a mother has taught me the importance of flexibility, empathy, and attentiveness—qualities I bring into my pet care routine. I carefully structure my schedule to seamlessly integrate walks and pet care with my family commitments. I am available for dog walks and pet care every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday. I’m happy to adjust timing and activities to match your pet’s needs, ensuring they receive the best care possible. My role as a mom has deepened my understanding of unconditional love and nurturing, which I extend to your pets. Their safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities, and I look forward to providing them with the same loving care I give to my own family. When caring for pets in your home, I pay utmost attention to creating a safe and trusting environment. Before any care begins, I conduct a thorough assessment of the space to identify and address any potential hazards. I familiarize myself with your pet's routine, ensuring a seamless transition in their daily activities. Open communication and trust are key, and I make it a priority to maintain clear and consistent communication with you, keeping you informed of your pet's well-being, activities, and any concerns. Building a strong bond and trust with your pets is fundamental to my approach. I invest time in getting to know your pet's unique personality, preferences, and individual needs. This allows me to tailor the care, ensuring they are comfortable and at ease during our time together. I use positive reinforcement techniques, gentle encouragement, and a calm demeanor to create a trusting relationship with your pet. Safety is non-negotiable. I adhere to safety protocols rigorously to minimize risks and create a secure environment. Additionally, I ensure that all gates, locks, and leashes are secure during walks, providing an extra layer of safety for your pets. A comfortable environment is also essential for your pet's well-being. I pay careful attention to the temperature, lighting, and overall comfort of the space. Cozy bedding, ample toys, and stimulating activities are incorporated to make your pet remain comfortable at home while you're gone, promoting a sense of security and relaxation.
“Amazing as usual! Veronica showed extra care this time with our picky eater older kitty, showered the other two cats with attention, and sent great updates and photos. She’s the best!”

“I really appreciate Anya’s gentle approach with our foster kitty and their attention to detail in the visit reports. A week ago, little dude was living in a park and starving, so he’s going through a lot of change and needs a soft and caring touch. If he becomes a permanent member of the family, we will gladly have Anya back anytime.”

“Thomas took care of Mastimon very well. He was on time, communicative & thoughtful. He provided surety in his service , which is vital to me . I’d recommend Thomas and request his services again! Thomas is your one stop shop!”

“Deli was great, quite everything you could ask for. Incredibly communicative and went above and beyond in my home to make sure I came back from vacation with very little to do. My kitty, Willow, was well cared for and happy when I returned. Will deff book again in the future.”

“Jon was great, and went far beyond just feeding our cats and taking care of the litter box. We had just suffered the loss of a beloved sibling of our cats and Jon was especially sensitive to their emotional needs- especially one who was grieving hard - even just checking in on them to make sure they were OK. We not only got detailed reports of their activities, but also comments regarding their mood. By the time we returned home from our trip they were back to normal. highly recommend Jon... He cares.”

About: What sets me apart is my ability to be both caring and dependable in moments that require real attentiveness—something I’ve developed through years of working in community programs, internships, and leadership roles. Whether I was leading a team project, supporting a friend, or organizing events through my cycling club, I’ve always been someone who shows up fully and handles responsibility with care. I bring that same energy to pet care—tuning into each animal’s needs, whether it’s keeping up with an energetic puppy or being patient with a senior pet. I’m calm, communicative, and take pride in making both pets and their owners feel secure and understood. As a recent grad preparing for law school and transitioning into the workforce, my schedule is relatively flexible—especially during the weekdays. Pet care has been a grounding and fulfilling part of my routine. It gives me the chance to stay active, present, and connected in a meaningful way while balancing studying and professional goals. I genuinely enjoy the rhythm of it, and I treat every booking with the same level of care and responsibility I bring to my academic and work commitments. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I love making sure everyone—pets and people—feels comfortable, safe, and at ease. That’s something I’ve really practiced through leading Catching Wind, the cycling and wellness club I started in college. Creating a space where people felt welcomed, supported, and looked after—whether they were riding for the first time or just needed community—taught me a lot about patience, attentiveness, and how to care for different needs. I bring that same approach to pet care. I listen closely, follow instructions, respect your space, and aim to create an environment where your pet feels loved, relaxed, and understood.

South Orange cat parents share their Rover experiences
First time Rover user and Anya was wonderful. She popped over to play and feed our boys Mac and Mo while we went out of town for the first time since we adopted them. They warmed up to her immediately and i appreciated her attention to play time and she was also very responsive whenever I had reached out. Will definitely book her again! thanks Anya!!!

Tiara was so amazing with our two kitties. It was the first time we were leaving them for vacation and we had also just moved into a new house a few weeks ago. They have always been unsure of guests in the home and always hide so we were a little nervous leaving them with a stranger. Tiara made sure to check on them every day, that they had food, water and a clean box. She was able to give our girl cuddles and by the last day she was even able to pet our very scared boy which made him feel more comfortable. She also cleaned up the litter that they tracked outside the box and left a goodie bag of treats and other stuff for them. You can really tell she has a lot of experience with animals cares for them and wants them to feel comfortable when their family is gone. We will definitely be using her again next time we are away!

Janayah is a lovely cat sitter and I highly recommend her. She read and followed all my instructions and took good care of my cat Luna. She provided a couple photos each visit. She played with Luna, kept the litter tidy for her, made sure her food plates were cleaned out and rotated. She has been very responsive in her communication and handled everything well while I was away on vacation. I came back to seeing everything neat and clean in the house as well.
