About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and understanding I bring to every pet. As a psychology student, I’ve developed strong skills in observing behavior, recognizing body language, and responding with patience and empathy. While animal behavior and human psychology aren’t the same, those skills help me better understand each pet’s unique personality and comfort level. I’ve also grown up surrounded by animals and have always helped care for my family’s pets. I’m a proud dog and cat owner myself. I’ve raised my dog since she was a puppy, so I understand the time, consistency, and love that goes into helping a pet feel safe and happy. About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 2 years and truly love caring for animals. Along with my experience providing overnight care, I currently work as a veterinary assistant, where I care for both dogs and cats in a professional setting. Working in vet medicine has helped me become comfortable with pets of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, including senior pets and anxious animals. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and routine to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work full time, so I fit pet care around my work schedule. I’m available on weekends and some Thursdays, which I’ve listed in my availability. I make sure to plan ahead so I can be consistent and give pets proper care and attention when I’m with them. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help the pet feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get walks and bathroom breaks, and receive plenty of attention and playtime. I also keep their environment clean and safe and follow any specific instructions provided by the owner.
