About: Hiya! I’m extremely passionate about animals, and would love to continue gaining knowledge and experience taking care of pets. I previously worked at a local petsitting/dog walking company for over a year, and I currently work part-time as a professional dog bather & pet care specialist at a pet store! So I have lots of experience with huge and tiny dogs; senior, puppy, and everything in-between. In personal experience, I’ve had many dogs, cats, and reptiles, all of whom I’ve walked, trained, fed, bathed, and taken care of since many of them were very young. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life—dogs, cats, chickens, even a parrot—so caring for them is basically part of my DNA. I’m currently in school to become a dog trainer because working with animals isn’t just something I do, it’s genuinely what I love. I volunteer with a local shelter where I walk dogs, help ease kennel stress, and run playgroups for pups of all personalities. This year I even spent time volunteering at a dog shelter in Greece, which gave me hands-on experience with all kinds of temperaments and behavior quirks. About: Had dogs my entire life. Lost my last one a few months ago. Have fenced in yard for them to run. And plenty of toys. I’m retired so I have nothing but time to watch your pet. I've never used a pet sitter before so I was kind of apprehensive about how things might go but Rachel put my mind at ease with her confidence and pet-friendly attitude. My two kitties are super-skittish around visitors but Rachel made every effort to get them to come out of hiding. She was mindful of keeping their breakfast routine and refreshing their litter box and went above and beyond to hand wash their Delectables food bowls so there wouldn't be any lingering smells in the house when I returned home. She even ended up having to respond to a little bit of kitty 'urp', cleaning the spot. I would definitely have Rachel sit for my kitties again if I have a need in the future.

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
