“Corbyn is wonderful! I accidentally booked an a.m. instead of a p.m. slot and we didn't realize that until she arrived early in the morning. I assumed she wouldn't return for the p.m. time, but she did, and even took my girl for a walk. I will definitely book her again and highly recommend her! Thank you, Corbyn!”

“Thank you Leah for taking wonderful care of Gracie! I enjoyed the trip and never worried about my sweet Gracie because I knew she was in great hands! I highly recommend Leah!!!”

“Jillian was able to quickly jump in and help dropping in on our pets after a poor sitting experience with someone else. She was extremely flexible, kind, and timely with our pets per normal. Thank you Jillian!!”

“Jessica was superb. This was my first time using the Rover app, and of course I was nervous. Jessica eased my nerves after her first visit and I would love to have her help in the future. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my fur babies!”

“This was the second time using Holly for a trip and she was awesome just like the last time. I always feel so comfortable knowing she’s looking out for my baby girl. Thank you so much.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 14 through friends, family, and neighbors. I have been expected to feed, bathe, walk, and clean litter boxes. I have had a love for animals since I was a young child and always make sure they have the love and care they need. I have an older boy named Taz who I love dearly. I currently work full time Mon.-Fri. until around 5 o clock. I am available in the evenings during the week, and any time on the weekends. I worry about my baby when I am away so I completely understand the expectation of your animal being taken care of however is best for him/her. It’s important to me to give each animal the attention they need and also respect your wishes as well as theirs.

“Nikita was phenomenal! This weekend was a bit of last minute request and she came through big time! Dolly (my dog) is already in love with her. Her attention to detail and being accommodating (even when I forgot to leave the key!) was above and beyond. Planning now to make this a regular gig!”

“My husband and I went on a 2 week trip, leaving behind our 4 cats to be cared for by Rachel. I’m a little bit high maintenance and left a long list of chores for her to take care of and she did it all! She took care of each kitty’s individual needs, kept me updated the entire time, and let me enjoy my vacation with complete peace of mind. I love having her as my sitter while we’re away. Thank you as always Rachel, you’re the best!”

“I got lucky bc Stephanie lives across the street from me, and she was phenomenal!! I am so blessed by her level of care and love for my Corgi and 5 yr old cat! She went above and beyond, sending me updates and photos at every drop in! Loki loved his walks and treats with her. We highly recommend Stephanie for any of your pet sitting needs!”

About: Hi, my name is Anthony, owner of Who Let My Dog Out in Nashville, TN since 2016. Caring for animals isn’t just my job — it’s my passion. I take pride in providing reliable, attentive, and loving care for every pet as if they were my own. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, including managing up to nine small puppies at once and regularly caring for large breeds. Currently, I care for a German Shepherd weekly, including walks and trips to the dog park. Building trust with both pets and their owners is something I value deeply. My goal is simple: to make sure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or ongoing care, I’m committed to giving your furry family members the attention and care they deserve. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your beautiful pups! I run my own business so I am Quite flexible which when it comes to loving your animals. Also my partner works with me full time. I have a fenced in yard , someone is home full time. I we have 3 cats that love dogs. Free water and food of course.

About: I have been with animals my whole life partly on a farm so this is a fun way to get back to them when I’m not there It fits in because I am a college student that loves to be busy so adding a cuddly animal into the mix just makes it 10x better. I have dogs and have had other animals so as long as I’m given good information on the dog and where I need to be we will be all good

About: I have had animals my whole life and love them tremendously! I have many references for all different types and kinds of pets as well being able to provide special services to animals that need them. I primarily do dog sitting as a full time job so I’m available to give all the attention needed to families and their animals. I have a dog myself so I understand the time and effort that is needed to put in. I can provide care in a clients home by following any routine or instructions as needed while also respecting their home and taking proper care of their fur babies.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Smyrna. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
