I’ve used rover for several occasions in the past and love the usual sitter that comes to do drop ins at our home. But on this occasion, our regular sitter wasn’t able to get back to confirm (last minute booking), and this sitter was available. Her reviews were all positive, So I booked the appointment. I really did not get any report back other than the standard check list. Ok, that’s fine. I don’t mind that, but what makes this review so terrible is this. I left specific instructions for the dogs, with my phone number in case anything happens, etc. I came home to find all my bedroom doors shut. Odd. So, When I opened them, the beds were messed up from where the dogs obvious ran amuck. There was dog poop on the floor in a second bedroom. And in the third bedroom- there was a huge line of dog pee that went from the door to the edge of the bed. No water was in their bowls. The house reeked of poop and urine out into the hallway. It was clear this sitter failed at her job. These two dogs are older dogs and are very much house broken. They only act like that if they were not allowed to go outside in a timely manner or was not put safely up behind their gate at night. This sitter only had to do 2 drop ins. One at Saturday evening for an hour, and then again at 8 am the next day for an hour. The usual length at night that our dogs stay inside. We left the day before at 4 pm, and returned home at noon. Again, showing these dogs were not left for long period of time unattended. So, I’m not sure what exactly happened, as again, there wasn’t any communication from this sitter other than the standard check list. But what I do know is how I left my house and my dogs and the condition the house and dogs were in when I returned. This was the worst sitter I have had since using Rover. Which is sad, since all the other reviews were so positive. I’ll never use this sitter again. But on a good note, she did feed them per one picture that was taken.

My dogs were happy and taken care of, the house is clean. Will definitely boom again!

Everett did a great job taking care of our Dolly during the hottest heat wave in forever. They made sure she was walked early and later to avoid overheating and took great care of our home and sweet dolly. It was like no one stayed here when we returned. Everything nice and clean. Would use Everett again.
