About: I grew up with my Australian Shepherd, who was part of my family my entire life, and I helped care for her throughout her senior years. I now have my own cat, Emerald, and my family recently welcomed a terrier puppy named Edna. I also have experience caring for friends’ cats, as well as a neighbor’s and family friend’s Chihuahua and a family’s Golden Retriever. I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs, including pets with different personalities and energy levels. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, birds, fish (both saltwater and freshwater), and small mammals as I’ve had all of them as pets or taken care of my friend's. As a teenager, I worked at a local kennel, gaining valuable experience with feeding routines, cleaning, and handling animals of all temperaments. I’ve also trained my own dogs, earning several first-place ribbons in competitions. I can come morning, afternoon, and night any day I am willing to bring a small animal into my home as long as they are ok with another large dog and small cat who are very friendly. I do not have a yard, but walks are given multiple times a day and I have a decent sized 2 story townhome with dog parks and turn outs close by. About: Hi! I have always loved animals. I have had dogs my entire life since we adopted my first dog, a black lab, from the humane society when I was 5. I have also volunteered at the humane society for many years on a regular basis. About: I've had dogs in my life since I was a middle schooler. Between my family dogs and dogs who have lived in my home since then I have been responsible for at least 7 dogs, of all shapes, sizes and demeanors. I've kept moody Dachshunds, energetic Shelties, even tempered Retrievers and even rescue Pitbulls. I love hiking and getting outdoors, and bringing a canine friend along. I currently have one dog of my own, a peppy rescue mix, and he is my best friend I am available to dog/house sit very regularly. I am an ecological land designer working most days from home with the exception of days where I need to do a site visit or connect with my team in person. I can pretty much work from anywhere with a good internet connection, so most days would be able to be around in case your dog needs more frequent walks or attention. In addition to dogs I love other pets and plants! If you have house plants, a veggie garden or other plants that need some watering or attention while you're away I'll be able to help in the department as well! I work from home most days, so I am able to be flexible around a pets needs regarding feeding, walks, and medication. Ocassionally I do have to leave home for work, and that is typically up to 4 hours. We have one dog at home and since we don't have a yard, we typically take him up on the ridge to walk, or to the Red hill Dog park or San Quentin beach. These are great places to have some fun exercise

Susan was wonderful! She was new to Mustard Christopher (my cat) and me. I had a 10-day out of country trip. She came over for our initial meeting a few weeks before when I was trying to get cat care lined up, then again a few days before my trip to pick up the key and review his care plan again. Mustard was curious about her immediately and clearly took to her by the time she left those first two visits. I really appreciated that she made both visits before to learn him and his routine and give him time to get to know her a bit. I think it helped smooth the transition while I was traveling. While on my trip she gave me daily reports through the app, shared photos daily and a nice reassuring message that he was eating and drinking well (potentially a bit of an issue for him) and having fun playing with toys during their visits. This gave me huge peace of mind. I will definitely book with Susan again- Mustard Christopher loves hanging out with her and he’d love to do it again!
Emma took great care of our dog while we were out of town. She communicated well, arrived on time and spent quality time with her. She even helped us find a leak in our house that we’d been notified of while we were gone. I would definitely hire Emma again. She’s super reliable and caring.
Chuck was fantastic and went way above and beyond for me when he watched my cat. He was very responsive and kind and patient when I was worried. I can’t recommend him highly enough. There should be more than five stars available for someone as good as he was.
Ariela was brilliant, she looked after our 6 year old bulldog for 10 days. Our dog gets stressed out when boarded which leads to the dreaded bulldog skin issues every-time we go away. This was our first time booking drop in visits with Rover and it was great. Joey was looking better than ever when we returned all down to Ariela’s care. She followed his skin and eye routine and administered his medication daily. I always enjoyed getting update of him playing at the local dog park and getting lots of attention at home. Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
