“I was nervous about using this service because it was my first time. Lillian did above and beyond with my dog Oreo. She sent regular updates and pictures and made the experience amazing. She was also so kind and caring. I would trust her to watch him anytime. Thanks again Lillian, Oreo and I truly appreciate it 😊”

“Valkyrie made some new friends this time and the pictures tell me that she had a blast! She’s always so well cared for and I truly appreciate being able to feel 100% comfortable leaving my best girl with Roberta anytime!”

“Lisa continues to be a great help to our family. Lucy knows her well now and always comes home in a great mood and a bit tuckered out. I miss Lucy so much while we are away but with the updates throughout her stay, I can see she's having just as much fun, if not more, on her vacation too.”

“Kaylee was AMAZING! Not only did she take great care of my pup, but she was super detailed and sweet - made him Easter egg treats 🥚💕 to take home! Kept me posted with adorable pics too. Highly recommend!”

“We never leave our dog with anyone but family. Since all our family needed to be at our wedding we needed someone to watch Carl. Jim’s property is perfect for animals. Jim treated him like family. He was even allowed on the couch! Jim sent us pictures to show how Carl was relaxing. We recommend using Jim.”

About: Hello! :) I am a dependable, caring dog lover who works from home, so your pup will have someone around throughout the day. I've cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages by visiting friends and families homes for potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. I'm experienced with giving oral medications, including chewable medications, and I'm happy to follow your dog's daily routine to help them feel comfortable while you're away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I'll keep you updated with messages and photos during each visit. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind. :) I work from home Monday through Friday, which allows me to provide frequent potty breaks, companionship, and supervision throughout the day when they are home with me. I can easily fit a walk, feeding, playtime, and medication (if needed) into my schedule. My flexible routine allows me to give pets plenty of attention while keeping them on their normal schedule. I provide a safe, comfortable environment where they can relax and feel at home. I also have a crate available for dogs that are crate-trained or owners who prefer crate time. I do have a fur baby of my own if your pup is friendly to other dogs, to keep each other company :) When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routine as closely as possible. I respect each home and make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I also am a picture person so i send regular updates and photos so owners know how their pets are doing :)
“Alyssa took great care of our beautiful Lilly. Lilly was a bit anxious the first night, but Alyssa made her comfortable and even slept on the couch next to Lilly's bed. Thanks to Alyssa's patience, Lilly slept soundly in her bed in Alyssa's room on the 3rd night. Lilly loved Alyssa and I'm sure she'll be happy to return to Alyssa's care when needed. Alyssa provided updates several times a day and responded to any of my messages in a very timely fashion. I would recommend Alyssa to anyone as I can tell that she lovingly cared for our big girl the same as we do.”

“jean was great! my pup was a little unsure about meeting new people at first, but jean was very attentive and stayed in touch with us to make sure all of his needs were met”

“Our pups had a great time in Deirdre’s care! I had no worries while they were away for a week. Nice property for plenty of exercise and friendly dogs to play with. Thank you Deirdre for taking care of Mustang and Sally?”

“Finley had an amazing week! I felt totally at ease while away and knew he was being well cared for. He had room to run, and with the kids present, he got lots of playtime. I received very prompt feedback. We came home to a very relaxed and happy dog. We have found our Rover! Finley will be back!!! 🐩”

“Our pups loved Dawn and her beautiful home. She sent the cutest pictures and it felt like she treated Rosie and Newton as if they were her own. Highly recommend. Would use again in the future. Thank you!”

“Betsy and Ron provide a perfect home away from home for our Coco! They are keenly sensitive to individual pup’s personalities and needs. She even cleaned off a windowsill for Coco because looking outside is her favorite pastime. Taking only one at a time, they give your dog all the attention. Another huge plus to me—their house is spotlessly clean. 5 stars is not quite enough!”

About: I have published several articles about dogs in my weekly newsletter and consider them to be our greatest and most loyal friends. I love dogs! I am retired but active and living in a comfortable home in a peaceful neighborhood with my wife. We walk daily in a nearby park. We consider dogs as part of our human family and strive to make all visiting dogs feel safe, comfortable and very much "at home" here.
“I have two high drive, high energy Dutch shepherds and wasnt able to find a sitter I felt could understand or handle their every. I dont like kennels and going on group dog walks isnt enough for my dogs and I've very particular with who watches them. I have a female and Male who are both intact and she was very understandable, didnt even bother her. I drove an HOUR away just to have the right person look after my dogs and will use her from now on!”

“Kira was amazing with Charlie and agreed to a week long stay with a semi short notice. She provided updates on her own and when asked. No complaints and would use her services again!”

Brenda was fantastic! From the moment I left my dog there she made him feel at home and made me feel at ease leaving him with her! She sent me tons of photos to let me know how he was doing and what they were up to. I could tell that my dog was very happy and relaxed around her. This was by far the best dog sitting experience I have had yet!! Thank you Brenda. You will definitely be seeing me and Enzo again 😊

Absolutely satisfied with Mollie! She helped me out with my two pups for a week. I had to go to urgent care before dropping them off and was going to be late and had a car issue before picking them up. She accomidated me both times and was great about it. She took great care of both of them, sent updates and pictures, I couldn't ask for more. I highly recommend Mollie to anyone who cares about their pets and wants to feel at ease leaving them. Thank you, Mollie!

Carmen went above and beyond to take care of my special needs girl. She made sure her medication was given on time, she took her to the vet when she started having some issues and loved on her to make sure she was comfortable. She communicated with me multiple times a day and sent lots of pictures. Carmen was a blessing and allowed me to enjoy our vacation without worry.
I had a great experience with Jo-Ellen! My dog was very well taken care of. She was very happy to be in a home with another dog her size. I got pictures and updates throughout the entire weekend. And Jo-Ellen is just such a kind person. Will absolutely use in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
