“Awesome as usual. I’ve returned several times now and Gibby just loves it there. Plenty of pictures to put me at ease, although after our first visit I’ve never worried about leaving him there. They treat him like he’s part of the tribe. Thank you guys for the great care he receives each and every time. ❤️”

“Cooper had a great week with Beth and her family! He was pampered and cuddled. We got a picture or video every day. We had a great vacation knowing Cooper was also having a great week! We would highly recommend Beth for your pet!”

About: I have had pets all my life, and I truly love caring for and looking after them because being around animals brings me happiness, comfort, and a strong sense of joy every day. I’m free most of the day. I only work at night only for a couple hours and would love to take care of any fluffy friends. I would treat your pets like my own babys. Always keep a watch on them, feed them, walk them, play with them, and clean them
“Toby and Max love spending time with their favorite sitter! Between running around the yard, keeping up with their important deer and squirrel patrol duties, and fitting in plenty of naps, they always have the best time. We know they’re safe, happy, and well cared for every visit!”

“Julie and Caleb and their family are the best, they help me and my pup out so much even on a last minute call. They welcomed my pup like it was one of their own which we really liked. Will definitely be returning soon, thank you guys”

About: I have had animals since I was a little girl. From mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats- I’ve taken care of them all! Last year I took in my mom’s dog since she moved and couldn’t take her along, so technically this is my first time owning a dog (on my own), but there has always been either a dog or a cat in my home growing up, so I have dealt with it all- accidents, anxiousness, and everything in between. I have also been able to teach my dog some new basic tricks, despite her being 13! I am very patient, determined, and caring. I currently work full time, 2nd shift 3p-11:30pm, so I am available M-F up until 2pm when I need to start getting ready for work. I wake up early and take my dog out right away, then again in about 3ish hours, and then right before I leave for work to ensure that I don’t come home to an accident, and then she potties and eats dinner when I get home. On the weekends, I’m home probably 90% of the time, so we go to the museum, dog park, and for the most part, she runs all of my errands with me! Despite me living in an apartment, I do still have a yard in the front and the back of the building, so if my dog (or yours) isn’t feeling up for a walk (or the weather isn’t great) there is still grass for them to go to the bathroom. I do not mind about my dog being on my furniture- it’s her house too! That is how it would be for your pet too! I also have a small balcony, where me and her sit and hang out for some fresh air.
“Damaris is an incredible person and the best dogsitter I’ve ever known. I was very nervous (paranoid, really) trying to find someone I trusted with my doggie child & best friend. Just speaking with her I knew she was a kind & loving person so I took the risk. She exceeded my highest hopes! My dog is happier with Damaris than with me! WTH? She never made me feel crazy wanting updates, sent constant details & photos and I knew that she really understood and LOVED my dog. I do a lot of rescue & I’ve had less than great experiences with dog-sitters so I don’t make this recommendation lightly. Damaris is a dream come true and I think my pup can’t wait for me to get out of town again! ? Added bonus, she has an incredibly loving family who stepped in & gave her more attention & love than she’s ever known. If you’re lucky enough to book her, just know that your pet may not want to come back home hahaha”

“Lisa was incredible! This was my first time leaving my dogs with a “stranger”, and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Lisa updated me with pictures often, and even sent my babies home with a photo album of pictures!! My girls loved her, and we will be using her in the future!! ❤️”

“Steve was good to our pups! We stayed overnight in Philly and we didn't have to worry at all. Steve sent us pics and updated us on how our doggies were doing. We will absolutely be using Steve in the future.”

“Tania was amazing and my pet Daisy liked her very much . She sent daily updates and took my girl on long walks which she loves . When picking her up I saw her tail going nuts and that showed how much my pet liked her. She in fact offered her a toy that Daisy picked up when she was in her care . Thank you very much for the affection you showed towards my girl.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
