About: I have had animals since I was a little girl. From mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs and cats- I’ve taken care of them all! Last year I took in my mom’s dog since she moved and couldn’t take her along, so technically this is my first time owning a dog (on my own), but there has always been either a dog or a cat in my home growing up, so I have dealt with it all- accidents, anxiousness, and everything in between. I have also been able to teach my dog some new basic tricks, despite her being 13! I am very patient, determined, and caring. I currently work full time, 2nd shift 3p-11:30pm, so I am available M-F up until 2pm when I need to start getting ready for work. I wake up early and take my dog out right away, then again in about 3ish hours, and then right before I leave for work to ensure that I don’t come home to an accident, and then she potties and eats dinner when I get home. On the weekends, I’m home probably 90% of the time, so we go to the museum, dog park, and for the most part, she runs all of my errands with me! Despite me living in an apartment, I do still have a yard in the front and the back of the building, so if my dog (or yours) isn’t feeling up for a walk (or the weather isn’t great) there is still grass for them to go to the bathroom. I do not mind about my dog being on my furniture- it’s her house too! That is how it would be for your pet too! I also have a small balcony, where me and her sit and hang out for some fresh air.

“Kanija was great. My dog seemed to be happy and relaxed with her and her family and other dogs. I was very impressed that he was able to spend time and play with her other dog and bond with everybody over the three days he stayed there. I am usually very cautious because my rescue dog has a medical condition and can be mistrustful and nervous around new situations. So I am very happy and would highly recommend Kanija. She was also very responsive and flexible given my ever changing schedule.”

“Lisa watched my dogs for me for a last minute booking over the weekend. She took care of my two golden retriever pups for two days, one night. Lisa was absolutely wonderful for letting me know what was needed and not before drop off since this was our first time using this app. She sent me photos of the pups through out the days watching them and gave me suggestions to help with their leash manners as well.
