“Christina is a rare and talented gem who gives incredibly thorough and tender care to our furbabies. The peace of mind she provides when we’re away is unparalleled, especially as our one kitty is newly diabetic. He’s also a very shy guy and she quickly mastered issuing his oral pill. All 3 kitties and our exuberant doggo pretty much immediately took to Christina. She’s truly an animal whisperer and an extremely reliable support for us. We are beyond grateful for Christina and highly recommend her!”

“Katie is absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my kitties and kept me updated with lots of photos—not only of them but also of other areas of my home that she thoughtfully looked after. I felt completely at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely be using Katie again for future trips. Thank you so much, Katie!”

“Shannon was very good. She asked whatever questions necessary to take good care of my pups. She was great, taking my request the same day I needed her. Quick responses and definitely reliable!!”

“Allison did a fantastic job watching my two cats. She sent me texts each day with pictures of my cat. She clean-up any messes. I would recommend her to anyone to watch their pets.”

“We were in a bind when our regular cat sitter had to cancel last minute due to illness, and Kerri stepped in immediately. She was incredibly responsive, reliable, and took full responsibility from the start, which gave us such peace of mind. Her communication was excellent throughout, and she handled everything seamlessly on short notice. Most impressively, our two very timid cats actually came out to greet her — something that almost never happens! We’re so grateful to have found Kerri and wouldn’t hesitate to trust her again. Highly recommend!”

“Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease caring for Jackson & Julius during our daughter’s wedding celebration. I was grateful for the updates and pictures shared. I highly recommend Charlotte and this service.”

“Adrianna was absolutely fantastic with my 2 dogs! We needed a last minute dog sitter for a weekend trip, and Adrianna was more than willing to work with us. She sent plenty of photos, updates, and even went out of her way to get them new toys! We are definitely using Adrianna in the future for any other trips.”

“Vee helped me in a last minute need for a walker. Not only did she take care of Kai but stayed a bit longer and made sure she got a good walk in! Will be using regularly in the future.”

“So so relieved with cannolis visit from Rodney! He stopped by the day before to meet him which I appreciated so much considering this was my first time ever using a dog walker. Rodney sent pictures of my happy cannoli boy while I was away and it was really just a breath of fresh air. Will 100% recommend / use Rodney again soon!!”

“Curt was easy to work with. I have a big dog that I trusted Curt with and a sometimes difficult reactive dog. It is hard to find someone who is patient with my difficult dog so it was nice to be able to get away for the night and know my dogs were safe!!!”

About: At the animal shelter I volunteer at I always respect the animals boundaries both cats and dogs. I keep their best interest in mind always and show them a patient and caring attitude. Caring for animals is something I am incredibly passionate about and I am looking to do Rover part-time during the summer. Everyday I make sure my own animals have clean food, water, as well as clean litterboxes. I love playing with them as well and seeing them enjoy themselves with their favorite toys. About: Hi! I’m Amanda, a nurse and lifelong animal lover who is brand new to Rover and so excited to be here. Caring for others has always been a huge part of who I am, both professionally and personally, and that same level of compassion, patience, and attentiveness carries over into the way I care for pets. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your furry family members. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and anxious, or needs a little extra patience and TLC, I’m happy to meet them where they are and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a nurse, safety, reliability, and attention to detail are second nature to me. I take caring for pets very seriously, from secure leashes and locked gates to making sure routines, medications, feeding schedules, and special instructions are followed closely. I know how nerve wracking it can feel leaving your pets with someone new, so my goal is to give you peace of mind while giving your pets lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I have a flexible schedule and genuinely enjoy making time for pet care throughout my week. I work as a nurse, so being dependable, communicative, and attentive comes naturally to me. I’m excited to be starting my journey on Rover and look forward to building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I pay close attention to details like secure leashes, closed gates, feeding instructions, medications, and routines to make sure every pet is safe and cared for. As a nurse and lifelong animal lover, I understand how important trust is when leaving your pets with someone, and I’ll care for them like they’re my own.
“This was Lisa's first drop-in visit with Bogey, who is a rescue , previously abused, and normally reserved around new people. He and Lisa got along very well. She took the time to meet Bogey in advance, arrived on time, and obviously cared about making him comfortable, something that is not easy to do. I was very pleased with the care Lisa gave him, and I will be scheduling her in the future. It is my hope that she will be my "go to" person when I need a dog sitter.”

About: I have always been a lover of animals. I grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits, guniea pigs, and hamsters. Every single animal I’ve had has been given the love they deserve. Giving them all their play time, I have a huge fenced in yard for dogs to run around in and play fetch. If pets need their own space, I can accommodate that. If you need me to take extra time out for them I can offer that as well! I’m here to help! I am a hairstylist by trade for 27 years and love what I do, I work part time to be home more with my children. Being a hairstylist, I love helping my clients look and feel good. That being said, I figured I can help people in other ways as well and being that I love animals, why not help people with their pets by taking care of them! I take my dog on daily walks, except for Tuesdays and Saturdays but those are the days I work in the salon, but my husband takes our dog out. She also will go to my mother's house in the summer to swim with us as she absolutely loves the pool! Being that I am home most of the week, watching dogs fits well into my schedule. I will treat other people's pets as if they were my own. As long as they are potty trained, I will allow them to walk freely in my home, I have a huge fenced in yard for them to run and play. As long as the weather is beautiful out, I will take them on walks as well with my family! Myself and my family will treat your pets as if they were ours! We will show them love the entire time they are with us!

About: I have had pets all my life. I have taken care of many family and friends pets while they were away. I have taken the best care of my own pets as well as others and I treat them like my own. Even though I do not have anymore pets, I still love being around all sorts of animals and this will give me the opportunity to still cuddle a cute furry friend. I am currently working as a substitute teacher in Brick and Tom’s River. I am free after school from 2pm until evening time. I am available to take your dog for a walk and play with them. I am available to drop by to feed them and let them out too. For right now I am available to come to your home and take care of your pet. I will treat them with love and care just the way I did for my own and other pets I have taken care of.

“I wanted to tell everyone that Doug and his wife Cyndy are the most wonderful "babysitter" we ever had for Lulu. I received pictures of her with them throughout the day. She was having a great time, they we're so attentive to her needs. Having Doug drop in during the day put our mind at ease and we are so happy with her care. I would highly reccomend Doug, Cyndy and the entire Rover experience to anyone needing care for their "fur babies" Thank you Doug and Cyndy”

Celeste it's such a great pet Sitter.! she just helped me out with the very last minute request for cats sitting due to a family illness and I greatly appreciate it. She's very reliable. Always shows up and shows up on time! Couldn't ask for anyone better to be in my hole and take care of our precious kitty cat. Thank you so much Celeste for your professionalism, dedication and time. We really appreciate it.

Darlene is so wonderful! I was in a pinch and needed someone to watch my kitty for a few days very last second. Darlene immediately reached out to help!! We met over video call and I trusted her immediately. She was wonderful with Misay and kept me updated with photos which I loved. Misay and I will definitely book with her again ❤️ Thank you Darlene!!!

Adrianna went above and beyond my expectations! Ruby and Pearl are so well adjusted I’m not sure they missed me. Adrianna did everything I asked in caring for the girls food, water, attention, litter box and my home is clean as the day I left! She updated me daily while I was away so I could see how happy Ruby and Pearl were while I was on vacation. This means a lot so I was able to relax. I would highly recommend Adrianna!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
