“My kids/doggies loved Christina. After her visit, and I got home they were looking for her. I will definitely book her again, she also send me pics of her and the dogs. I thought that was soo sweet.”

“Haley is amazing!!! She takes such good care of our pets and we would highly recommend her for anyone looking for a reliable pet-sitter! We have used her multiple times and will continue to do so!”

“Shannon was very good. She asked whatever questions necessary to take good care of my pups. She was great, taking my request the same day I needed her. Quick responses and definitely reliable!!”

“Nicoletta was really fabulous with my kitties and their care and I appreciate it! Helps she lives local to me so she spent a little extra time with them since she didn't have a big commute home :) I highly recommend hiring her to watch your pets. I will schedule another service when I have to be away from home again!”
“Megan was amazing, my cats are shy but she managed to get them both to come out for her at her first visit, sent pics and updates each visit which is so great for your piece of mind when you are away and knowing your pets are ok! Very professional and caring, highly recommend! Just booked another stay with Megan!”
“Katie is absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my kitties and kept me updated with lots of photos—not only of them but also of other areas of my home that she thoughtfully looked after. I felt completely at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely be using Katie again for future trips. Thank you so much, Katie!”

About: I believe what sets me apart from other pet sitters is my respect and innate love for all animals. My Mom asked me when I was 3 years old what I would like to be when I grow up and I said, "I want help children and animals.” I have not changed much since then! I am now a pediatric nurse who devotes her time to her cats, a cat colony in Howell and farm animals as well. I have been around animals my whole life, and I could not imagine life without them. I care for animals throughout the day, everyday. I use my time wisely and ensure every animal is cared for in every way no matter what. I care for my pets in my home by providing a clean, safe, loving, and stimulating environment for them. My cats are provided with fresh drinking water (spring water) throughout the day, nutritious food (wet & dry), litter boxes cleaned twice daily and clean glass doors/windows to bird/squirrel watch. My cats also sunbathe on the back patio and enjoy their cat nip as well.
About: I have always owned a dog, my mom used to breed dogs so I always was around them. I have been taking care of animals since I was little but I would say for the last 10-15 years I actually did dog watching and would watch my grandmothers friends dogs at her house and would also drop in as needed. I have 3 dog babies and they are exactly that, big babies. I rescued all 3 from a rescue as puppy’s and my pitty was a runt and now is a big boy! I also have fostered dogs and helped my sister with her fosters. I can help with basic tricks but I’m not a professional and don’t claim to be! I have lived and taken care of some senior dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs from puppies to senior. I am also comfortable giving meds if needed, I haven’t had to give a dog an injection but I am willing to learn if you are willing to teach! I currently work fulltime as a unit secretary at the hospital, I can leave during my break for an hour. I work 7am-330pm and I am free most evenings after work. I also work every 3rd weekend so I am available on my off weekends. But the weekend I work I am not available because I work 7a-7p. If your pup needs some extra time to get used to people I am more then happy to come over before you book and meet them to make sure I can help make you and them as comfortable as possible. I am comfortable walking 2 big dogs at a time and 3-4 smalls dogs at a time. I don’t mind updating you as much as you need as they are your babies just as mine are to me. I put Shrek and Harry Potter on for my boys so they don’t get lonely during the day. I also make sure anything they can get into that might hurt them is away, and I make sure they have their collars on as well as double checking doors are locked. I am very accommodating so it never hurts to ask questions to see if it’s something I can help you feel more comfortable!
“Curt was easy to work with. I have a big dog that I trusted Curt with and a sometimes difficult reactive dog. It is hard to find someone who is patient with my difficult dog so it was nice to be able to get away for the night and know my dogs were safe!!!”

“We loved having Breanna taking care of our cats while we were away She did an excellent job of keeping us updated everyday with reports and pictures of Sam and Freddy. We will definitely call her again. She did a super job....Thank you.”

“So so relieved with cannolis visit from Rodney! He stopped by the day before to meet him which I appreciated so much considering this was my first time ever using a dog walker. Rodney sent pictures of my happy cannoli boy while I was away and it was really just a breath of fresh air. Will 100% recommend / use Rodney again soon!!”

“Thank you Karen for taking such great care of our kitties Ping and Ollie! Your punctuality, updates and pictures were very much appreciated. Your persistence in trying to get pics of my “skitty kitties” was awesome and certainly paid off 😊 If you’re looking for a friendly, highly reliable person who truly cares about your pets, and keeps you posted, look no further, Karen is your girl!!! Will definitely rebook when I need a sitter again. 🥰 A+++”

“Pamela did a great job caring for our cats. She sent us detailed report cards and photos. She spent the extra time to try to socialize with our shy one. We are repeat customers and will continue book her in the future!”

“Barbara was wonderful. She visited Pangur (aka Mama) even before we left for our vacation. She always communicated with us to ease our mind while we were away. I would highly recommend and use Barbara again. And our Mama loved her too!”

“Lisa was very accommodating when I had surgery and was unsure of the time I would need her until the day before. She was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her in the future!”

About: I am 26 years old from New Jersey, I have a bachelors degree criminal justice, a masters degree in forensic studies. Over my lifetime I’ve had five dogs I’ve had. Two golden retrievers, a black Labbe, German Shepherd and now I have a rescue golden retriever mix. My love for dogs undeniable and I love spending time with them and being able to care for them and exercise and enjoy quality time outside is something that I take seriously. I’ve had dogs from puppy stage to senior stage and will always treat all animals the same and like they are my own. I currently work 8 AM to 4 PM. I usually leave my house around 6:30 in the morning and return home by five with potential of going to the gym.. I am able to take care of dogs before I go to work and after I go to work and on the weekends. I treat all dogs like they’re my own as far as taking care of them. I take my dog myself on several walks a day feed them two times a day as far as roaming the apartment and or my parents house they have the opportunity to do both.
About: I have taken care of a wide variety of pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents) my entire life, and currently have two pugs named Cookie and Waffles. I have also worked in a doggy daycare. I am comfortable providing all kinds of care including walking, grooming, watching, feeding, giving medication, and more. I currently am working per diem as a nurse aid, I just finished school and will hopefully be starting my first nursing job in a couple-few months. For now I have the summer open while I am studying and applying to jobs. That being said, my schedule is very flexible and I would be happy to include caring for your pet into it! I currently cannot care for additional pets in my home as I live with others. However, I am open to caring for pets in a clients home. I would like as informative and detailed a description of how clients would like their pets cared for, and plan to follow those instructions completely. I have experience with a variety of pets from dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, and birds, ranging from young to old. I have the most experience with dogs. I worked at a dog daycare for a few months, so I am familiar with the personalities and care of different breeds. My dogs (Cookie and Waffles) have both had health issues in the past, so I have experience with giving oral medication. I also have basic grooming experience, mostly bathing, ear/face care, and nails (if pet allows, my girls unfortunately need a whole team to get their nails done).

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Ridge
Christina has cared for our furbabies many times now and we’re so grateful for her support! She treats our 3 kitties and our doggo as if they were her own, knowing each of their personalities and quirks (including tricks to get our one male kitty to take his meds). Christina’s animal intuition and pet care skills are amazing. The peace of mind she gives us and the tender care she gives to our furry crew is top notch. We appreciate you endlessly, Christina!

Megan is wonderful with are cats, she follows all our care instructions carefully, is respectful of our home and most importantly cares for our cats as if they are her own. She goes above and beyond every visit to ensure our cats are happy while we are away and sends thoughtful updates and pictures each visit giving us peace of mind while we are away that our cats are happy and well cared for. Cannot recommend Megan enough!
Another great job by Katey! She is extremely reliable, very attentive and super kind to my 19-year old cat, Clarabelle. Katey always sends me photos at check-in and check-out, so I can see how my cat is doing while I’m away. She also keeps me updated on Clara ‘s overall condition and whether she’s eaten, etc. I really appreciate the great support from Katey!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Ridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
