“Christina was excellent! She is extremely sweet and our fur babies loved having her care for them. She pays close addition to detail and was able to medicate our little boy with no issues. She comes highly recommended!”

“Shannon is a pleasure. She is patient and caring, treated my Lucia like her own. Shannon kept in touch with me to let me know pertinent details of her visits, which confirmed my belief that I had made the right decision. I strongly recommend Shannon, and will certainly call her in the future.”

“Thank you again Karen! Kitties were well taken care of as always. Thank you for all the “extra” things you do as well. You always go above and beyond. I highly recommend Karen time and time again!!! A++++”

“Pamela is a wonderful petsitter. I call her the "cat whisperer" because my very scared cat who hides under the bed when strangers come allowed Pamela to pet her. Pamela is very reliable and knowing she visited every day and took care of the food and litter box eased my worry about leaving my cat. Would highly recommend her.”

“I contacted Haley very last minute when I had to go to East Tennessee for an emergency. By last minute I mean she was at my house within the hour. She kept me thoroughly updated and took great care of my fur babies, and left my house just as it was. I'd highly recommend Haley for your pet sitting!”
About: I had a dog for 5 years and now have time to care for others' dogs so you can live your life knowing your dog is well cared for and in a happy home! I work from home so I have time to give your pup all of the attention he/she needs. I do this with doggy day care and boarding. I have plenty of room for a dog to wander in my house. I have a dog run in my backyard and I am getting a fence in June. My street is safe for walks (sidewalks) and there is a dog park nearby to let your pup run and play fetch! Of course, as long as you are comfortable with that.
“Lisa was very accommodating when I had surgery and was unsure of the time I would need her until the day before. She was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her in the future!”

“Nicoletta was really fabulous with my kitties and their care and I appreciate it! Helps she lives local to me so she spent a little extra time with them since she didn't have a big commute home :) I highly recommend hiring her to watch your pets. I will schedule another service when I have to be away from home again!”
“Barbara was wonderful. She visited Pangur (aka Mama) even before we left for our vacation. She always communicated with us to ease our mind while we were away. I would highly recommend and use Barbara again. And our Mama loved her too!”

“Katie is absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of my kitties and kept me updated with lots of photos—not only of them but also of other areas of my home that she thoughtfully looked after. I felt completely at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely be using Katie again for future trips. Thank you so much, Katie!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of the girls. They were very happy to see us but we could tell they were well taken care of. Thanks for taking the time to search for our “scaredy cat”, Kira. We will definitely be using you in the future!”

“Sophia was kind, loving, attentive, and very flexible when caring for my cat! I never felt worried while I was away because I knew my cat was in good hands. Sophia treats your pet as if they are her own and her experience handling animals shows. I wouldn’t trust my pets with anyone else!”

About: I have had dogs since I was a teenager and now care for my one senior dog and one mid aged dog as well . I am currently a stay at home mom so I will have plenty of time to give your pet all the care and love they need! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for play and two loving older dogs of my own who love to relax, sun bathe on the deck and sleep all day. We also love to spend time at night cuddling with our guys on the couch!
About: I’ve always been a huge dog lover and truly enjoy caring for animals. I have experience with everyday pet care including walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship, as well as caring for dogs after surgery and while recovering from illness. I also volunteer at a canine rescue where I help care for the dogs and take them on walks. I’m reliable, compassionate, and treat every dog like they’re my own! “Rae was great. When she came to pick up the keys she had 2 of my 3 cats interacting well with her within minutes. My scaredy cat took a day longer, but he was at least not hiding from her on the next visit. On the human level, she is friendly and professional. I am definitely willing to hire her again.”

“Megan is wonderful with our cats, we feel very comfortable leaving them in her hands when we are gone. She goes above and beyond to make sure our cats are happy and always keeps us informed with great updates and truly adorable and amazing photos. Could not ask for a better pet sitter!”
“Sophia was amazing with my pups! She was able to help us last minute and the dogs were so excited and enjoyed every minute with her. She gave a very thorough report with pics after every visit. Definitely using Sophia again and thank you for everything!!!”

Megan is wonderful with are cats, she follows all our care instructions carefully, is respectful of our home and most importantly cares for our cats as if they are her own. She goes above and beyond every visit to ensure our cats are happy while we are away and sends thoughtful updates and pictures each visit giving us peace of mind while we are away that our cats are happy and well cared for. Another great job by Katey! She is extremely reliable, very attentive and super kind to my 19-year old cat, Clarabelle. Katey always sends me photos at check-in and check-out, so I can see how my cat is doing while I’m away. She also keeps me updated on Clara ‘s overall condition and whether she’s eaten, etc. I really appreciate the great support from Katey!!

Tara was wonderful. She took excellent care of our cat Lucy. I could tell that Tara gave Lucy lots of love and attention. Tara was on time for every scheduled visit and did everything we requested regarding Lucy's care. I would highly recommend Tara to anyone and will definitely use her again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Ridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
