“This was our first time utilizing a cat sitter on Rover. We have always used a family friend, so we were a bit nervous at first. Jessica is truly the BEST! From our first meet and greet until we got home from our vacation, she was nothing but sweet and you could tell she was an animal lover. We received numerous pictures and updates and she went above and beyond for our two babies. They were well fed and played with. They really enjoyed her company. She even cared for our fish, which wasn’t planned because they came after we set up the pet sitting. We would definitely recommend her and we will choose her again in the future! 😊”

About: Experienced pet sitter reactivating my profile due to new flexible schedule! I’ve cared for all sorts of pets, ranging from senior dogs to active puppies. I’ve had 3 dogs and 2 cats in total (including one blind + deaf senior dog). With one indoor cat currently, I really miss having dogs around! About: Ive cared for my own pets and many friends pets mainly dogs throughout my life. From puppies to senior dogs. Never met one I didnt love. I run my own small planning firm so my schedule is very flexible. I am available during the week day or night for walks and pet care. I am happy to come to your home and play with your fur baby and also attend to any of his or her needs, feeding walking petting medication.

About: I have always owned a dog, my mom used to breed dogs so I always was around them. I have been taking care of animals since I was little but I would say for the last 10-15 years I actually did dog watching and would watch my grandmothers friends dogs at her house and would also drop in as needed. I have 3 dog babies and they are exactly that, big babies. I rescued all 3 from a rescue as puppy’s and my pitty was a runt and now is a big boy! I also have fostered dogs and helped my sister with her fosters. I can help with basic tricks but I’m not a professional and don’t claim to be! I have lived and taken care of some senior dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs from puppies to senior. I am also comfortable giving meds if needed, I haven’t had to give a dog an injection but I am willing to learn if you are willing to teach! I currently work fulltime as a unit secretary at the hospital, I can leave during my break for an hour. I work 7am-330pm and I am free most evenings after work. I also work every 3rd weekend so I am available on my off weekends. But the weekend I work I am not available because I work 7a-7p. If your pup needs some extra time to get used to people I am more then happy to come over before you book and meet them to make sure I can help make you and them as comfortable as possible. I am comfortable walking 2 big dogs at a time and 3-4 smalls dogs at a time. I don’t mind updating you as much as you need as they are your babies just as mine are to me. I put Shrek and Harry Potter on for my boys so they don’t get lonely during the day. I also make sure anything they can get into that might hurt them is away, and I make sure they have their collars on as well as double checking doors are locked. I am very accommodating so it never hurts to ask questions to see if it’s something I can help you feel more comfortable!

About: Hello! My name is Kaity. I am 34 years old and have been a pet owner since I was 12! My own beautiful and wonderful dog’s name is Maya. My younger sister has two dogs herself, named Lukas and Riley. Though Maya is my princess, Lukas is for real my best friend. He is a reactive dog and I have worked so hard with him and with myself to remain calm and patient. I have worked to understand how to manage Lukas’s reactions because I don’t want him to feel stressed. Similarly, my younger sister’s second dog, Riley, gets injured very frequently and has allergies that have at time left her immobile. My own dog, Maya, is more like a cat but she has still taught me so much about patience, love, and joy! I have a large amount of experience working with dogs just through the three mentioned above but I have also watched the dogs of friends and family members. I truly enjoy working for the connection between myself and the dog I’m walking or checking in on! I have found, that for me, patience, awareness, and remaining calm are my BEST tools in taking care of the dog I’m in charge of and also making sure me and those around me are safe. It truly impacted my mental health and my future plans changes abruptly. What got me through it all were my own dogs! Now I’m using my years of experience and trying to pay it forward in some small way to make sure our pets get the empathy, love, and care they deserve from us… just as my dogs showed me empathy, kindness, and compassion… I want to make sure any pet in my care gets those same things from me! I will do a tiny or extensive meet and greet with a pet prior to just going on a walk. I want them to feel safe. They don’t have to love me, but I do want them to feel they are in good hands. I may even continue the meet and greet and continue to build trust throughout a walk. For me, it’s a two way thing. I have to honor the pet if I expect them to honor me. If I’m at a clients home and the notes say to let the dog(s) in the backyard, I always check a fenced in backyard for gaps or openings prior to letting a pet out. I also have reflective collars that simply Velcro around the pet if I am walking them or caring for them while outside at night. Accidents rarely happen but if they do, I want full visibility of your loved one!

About: I’m an experienced dog owner - I’ve had my own special needs deaf dog that I’ve taken care of for 3 years since he was a puppy. Sadly he is no longer with me, but that means I can dedicate myself to other peoples fur babies and it gives me a lot of joy to be able to do that again on a part time basis. I have experience with puppies, obedience and behavior modification training (I am not a professional trainer, but I have worked with one and have taught my own dog basic obedience using hand signals), giving medication as necessary, and adaptability at handling anxiety and reactivity (as this was my dog). I’ve learned the body language of dogs a lot more than many other dog owners because of what I went through with my dog and I am happy to help if I can while your pup is in my care. Before getting my dog, I also watched and walked one of my neighbors dogs regularly. I’ve also done in-home dog sitting for some friends on several occasions for days at a time. I love dogs very much and will treat yours like it’s my own! I’m currently in between jobs and looking for recurring care, hence my open availability. For new clients that need one-time care, I am usually available on weekends. I’m currently in an apartment which may not be the most ideal, though it is pet friendly, so it might only be a good option for day sitting smaller dogs. Otherwise, I can come and sit dogs at your residence. I’ll walk your dog every 2-4 hours. I can also take them to parks/dog parks or runs for exercise if you are comfortable with that.
