“This was our first stay with Christine with our new rescue, Hank. He's a big boy, a great dane, so he's not for everyone - even though he's just a gigantic couch potato. We tried boarding him in the past, but he would become depressed and stopped eating. We made Christine aware, and she worked with us to ensure the best way to deal with this if he should withdraw. However, none of that was necessary. Hank felt at home and loved right away. Sometimes, animals just know! To be honest, I began to worry he wouldn't want to come home! I volunteered with ACCT Philly Animal Shelter, where I helped care for both dogs and cats with a wide range of temperaments and needs. About: I've been lucky enough to have a dog in my life since I was 8 years old, and now I'm 20! My dog is 13 years old, and caring for her has taught me so much about patience and responsibility. She takes multiple medications, so I'm very comfortable with medication schedules and making sure pets receive the care they need on time. I've also looked after other pets for family and friends like my friend's 3 cats, Rocky, Pepper and Sage, during school breaks, and the cutest dog in the world, Abby. These experiences helped me become confident caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs!! I trained my dog Darla from when she was a puppy and have always had a strong love for animals. She has since passed and have 2 dogs named Willow and Pixie.
