About: I've had dogs my whole life and have also been around cats too. Im very patient, understanding, loyal and trustworthy. I love all animals and would love to help anyone out that needs it. My schedule is flexible and usually can work on last second notices. I would love to get to know you and your pet so everyone can lead a happy life. I work full time as a High School teacher during the week but have time after the school day is over and on weekends to come by. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats at my house. The backyard is fenced in and I have it set up like a dog park. My dogs would love to play in the backyard with other pets. My 2 cats are inside cats and are scared of everything. They rarely come out when anyone new comes to the house. I could come to your place to walk, play and feed your dogs but I could also pick your pet up and bring them to my house for a play date in the backyard (once everyone feels comfortable, of course)
About: I have had dogs since I was a teenager and now care for my one senior dog and one mid aged dog as well . I am currently a stay at home mom so I will have plenty of time to give your pet all the care and love they need! I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room for play and two loving older dogs of my own who love to relax, sun bathe on the deck and sleep all day. We also love to spend time at night cuddling with our guys on the couch!

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for pets at every stage of life. I’ve taken care of puppies who need patience, structure, and reinforcement of basic training, energetic adult dogs who thrive on activity and routine, and senior dogs who require a gentler pace, medication awareness, and extra attentiveness. I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s specific needs, whether that means reinforcing potty training, maintaining feeding schedules, administering basic medications, or simply providing calm companionship. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work fully remote from home and have flexibility in setting my schedule. This allows me to plan my day around walks, feedings, playtime, and any specific care needs your pet may have. I’m home throughout the day, so your pup won’t be left alone for long stretches and can receive consistent attention, bathroom breaks, and companionship. Because I structure my work independently, I can easily adjust my schedule to maintain your pet’s normal routine, whether that means early morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening wind-down time. It’s important to me that pets feel comfortable, engaged, and cared for, not just supervised.
About: Lifelong dog owner, experienced handler, and Ocean County local providing dependable professional dog walking along the Jersey Shore. My background includes extensive hands-on dog training, rescue work, and agility experience. After training and handling a certified rescue dog for over a year and a half, I developed a strong understanding of canine behavior, structure, and safe pack management. I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and attention I’ve given my own dogs throughout the past 35 years. Because I work from home, I have the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of walking schedules, including mid-day visits and last-minute needs when available. My flexible availability allows me to provide dependable, personalized care that fits both your routine and your dog’s needs. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always be my highest priority on every walk and visit. With hands-on dog handling and training experience, I focus on safe leash control, awareness of surroundings, and making sure every dog feels comfortable, secure, and cared for
“Lisa was very accommodating when I had surgery and was unsure of the time I would need her until the day before. She was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her in the future!”

About: I’ve always been a huge dog lover and truly enjoy caring for animals. I have experience with everyday pet care including walks, feeding, playtime, and companionship, as well as caring for dogs after surgery and while recovering from illness. I also volunteer at a canine rescue where I help care for the dogs and take them on walks. I’m reliable, compassionate, and treat every dog like they’re my own! I work remotely full time and would have availability early mornings before 9am and evenings after work at 5pm and later and on the weekends. I would care for the pet as if it was my own and be very respectful of the home and surroundings. I’d like to be in a comfortable environment.
“Megan is wonderful with are cats, she follows all our care instructions carefully, is respectful of our home and most importantly cares for our cats as if they are her own. She goes above and beyond every visit to ensure our cats are happy while we are away and sends thoughtful updates and pictures each visit giving us peace of mind while we are away that our cats are happy and well cared for. Cannot recommend Megan enough!”
“Rae did a wonderful job taking care of my boy when I was away in October. He requires special handling until he gets to know you, and Rae handled that quite well. He's now comfortable with her and looks forward to her visits.”

About: I had a dog for 5 years and now have time to care for others' dogs so you can live your life knowing your dog is well cared for and in a happy home! I work from home so I have time to give your pup all of the attention he/she needs. I do this with doggy day care and boarding. I have plenty of room for a dog to wander in my house. I have a dog run in my backyard and I am getting a fence in June. My street is safe for walks (sidewalks) and there is a dog park nearby to let your pup run and play fetch! Of course, as long as you are comfortable with that.
About: Growing up in an animal-loving household gave me years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds — from dogs and cats to even birds! As a lifelong animal lover, I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy, attentive, and caring looking after your pets. I’m currently a college student with a flexible summer schedule, and I’d love to spend my summer making sure your pets get lots of attention, care, walks, playtime, and of course, treats (if allowed 😄). I currently have both weekends and weekdays open to book! ‼️Please note: - I am not available for recurring visits/walks until June. Message me for more info on this :) Please reach out ahead of time to confirm availability :) I care for every pet like they're my own! As a pet-lover, I prioritize making your pet feel comfortable, and create a safe environment for all personalities. I pay very close attention to your pets needs, and follow their routine as closely as possible. Upon request, I am more than happy to send photo updates to ensure you feel at ease too!
“Amanda was amazing with our dogs, Milo and Lady. She kept us updated with messages and photos, which made us feel completely at ease while we were away. You can tell she truly cares about animals and treats them like her own. Both dogs can be a bit of a handful, but Amanda handled everything with patience and ease. When we got home, they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of. She’s reliable, attentive, and goes above and beyond. It’s not easy trusting someone with your pets, but Amanda exceeded every expectation. We’d absolutely have her watch them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter.”

About: I have always had a pet in my life and have been pet sitting for 10 years. I have experience with puppies and kittens all the way up to the senior babies. I also have experience with special needs animals and can administer oral medictaion. I have a passion for pet care and bringing joy to an animals life the way they do ours 💙 I work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility in Brick and have about a 15 minute commute. My schedule is: Mon&Tues - off Wed 1-7 Thurs-Sat 11-7 Sun 7-1 I had a dog growing up named Jade who crossed the rainbrow bridge at 15 years old in October 2018. I was 7 when we got her and we grew up together and were best friends. I now have a cat named Blu who is almost 5! I love his handsome little face so much. Having the opportunity to care for both a dog and cat has given me more knowledge and ability in caring for other peoples pets.

Trustworthy, reliable, and always ready with a treat (or two), I make sure your pets feel right at home while you're away. Think of me as your furry (and hooved) family’s favorite human! “So so relieved with cannolis visit from Rodney! He stopped by the day before to meet him which I appreciated so much considering this was my first time ever using a dog walker. Rodney sent pictures of my happy cannoli boy while I was away and it was really just a breath of fresh air. Will 100% recommend / use Rodney again soon!!”

About: I have always owned a dog, my mom used to breed dogs so I always was around them. I have been taking care of animals since I was little but I would say for the last 10-15 years I actually did dog watching and would watch my grandmothers friends dogs at her house and would also drop in as needed. I have 3 dog babies and they are exactly that, big babies. I rescued all 3 from a rescue as puppy’s and my pitty was a runt and now is a big boy! I also have fostered dogs and helped my sister with her fosters. I can help with basic tricks but I’m not a professional and don’t claim to be! I have lived and taken care of some senior dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs from puppies to senior. I am also comfortable giving meds if needed, I haven’t had to give a dog an injection but I am willing to learn if you are willing to teach! I currently work fulltime as a unit secretary at the hospital, I can leave during my break for an hour. I work 7am-330pm and I am free most evenings after work. I also work every 3rd weekend so I am available on my off weekends. But the weekend I work I am not available because I work 7a-7p. If your pup needs some extra time to get used to people I am more then happy to come over before you book and meet them to make sure I can help make you and them as comfortable as possible. I am comfortable walking 2 big dogs at a time and 3-4 smalls dogs at a time. I don’t mind updating you as much as you need as they are your babies just as mine are to me. I put Shrek and Harry Potter on for my boys so they don’t get lonely during the day. I also make sure anything they can get into that might hurt them is away, and I make sure they have their collars on as well as double checking doors are locked. I am very accommodating so it never hurts to ask questions to see if it’s something I can help you feel more comfortable!

“Joyce was wonderful. Not only was she professional, but she was considerate and kind. She placed value on Max and his needs. In a very short time, she understood Max and cared for him as if he was her own. She was consistent and reliable. I would definitely recommend her and use her services again.”

About: I've been lucky enough to have a dog in my life since I was 8 years old, and now I'm 20! My dog is 13 years old, and caring for her has taught me so much about patience and responsibility. She takes multiple medications, so I'm very comfortable with medication schedules and making sure pets receive the care they need on time. I've also looked after other pets for family and friends like my friend's 3 cats, Rocky, Pepper and Sage, during school breaks, and the cutest dog in the world, Abby. These experiences helped me become confident caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs!! I truly love spending time with animals, cuddling, playing, keeping them company, or just making sure they stay active and happy. I'm an outdoorsy person who enjoys hiking and walking, so I'd be happy to take your dog on walks and adventures if needed. I'm reliable, attentive, and comfortable with feeding and following special instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for! I’m planning to have an internship, so I’ll be working full days but will be able to periodically check in on your animals!! I love to play and spend time with them, and you can trust they’re in great hands! My puppy is 13 years old, and is on many medications, has specific feeding times and diet, but she still loves to play and go on walks! I’m super organized and take very good care of her.

About: I’m Jeff, a lifelong animal lover based in Toms River. At 51, I’ve had pets my whole life — dogs, cats, and even a chinchilla I trained along the way! I’ve raised dogs from puppies, training them myself from day one, and currently care for both a senior dog and a senior cat, so I understand the full journey of pet ownership from the very beginning to the golden years. As a work-from-home small business owner, I’m home throughout the day, which means your pet gets consistent company and care — not just a quick visit. Your animals are in experienced, loving hands. Thank You As a work-from-home small business owner, my schedule is built around flexibility. I’m home all day, every day, with no regular outside commitments — though I’m a hands-on dad to two high schoolers, so family always comes first when needed. That said, I’m consistently available for walks and visits in the early morning, mid-morning, and afternoon, making it easy to build a reliable routine your pet can count on. I keep my client list intentional so every animal in my care gets real time and attention, not a rushed visit.” When caring for pets in your home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I treat every client’s home with the utmost respect, and your pet stays in the environment they know and love. I always use a leash and harness on walks — no exceptions — because safety on the road comes first. Throughout every visit or walk you’ll receive updates and photos so you always know your pet is happy and in good hands. In the event of any emergency I will contact you immediately and follow your guidance regarding your veterinarian. Medication needs are welcome and can be discussed on a case by case basis during our meet and greet.

Oak Ridge dog parents share their Rover experiences
Christina is absolutely wonderful, highly recommend! She came to meet us and our crew pre-visit to acclimate and walk through their care, which we greatly appreciated to ensure comfort and alignment for all. Extremely thorough, attentive, and she gave us incredible updates from each visit (for all 4 of our pets - 3 kitties and 1 exuberant doggo). Our fur babies immediately took to her; we were in amazement. We’re so appreciative of Christina and the priceless peace of mine she affords us when we are away. She’s our go-to gal!

Matt was an excellent dog walker. I received pictures from his walk and my dog sat at the door waiting for him. When Matt got here the dog wiggled all over so excited to see him. I would highly recommend him, very personable, very professional and very kind to my dog.
