“Christina has cared for our furbabies many times now and we’re so grateful for her support! She treats our 3 kitties and our doggo as if they were her own, knowing each of their personalities and quirks (including tricks to get our one male kitty to take his meds). Christina’s animal intuition and pet care skills are amazing. The peace of mind she gives us and the tender care she gives to our furry crew is top notch. We appreciate you endlessly, Christina!”

“Another exceptional experience with Megan, Megan is the best pet sitter, she is reliable, professional and cares for our cats like they were own. We enjoy our time away so much more knowing Megan is caring for our cats because we don't have to worry about their well being while in her care. Cannot recommend Megan enough!”
“Thank you so much for taking care of the girls. They were very happy to see us but we could tell they were well taken care of. Thanks for taking the time to search for our “scaredy cat”, Kira. We will definitely be using you in the future!”

About: I am 26 years old from New Jersey, I have a bachelors degree criminal justice, a masters degree in forensic studies. Over my lifetime I’ve had five dogs I’ve had. Two golden retrievers, a black Labbe, German Shepherd and now I have a rescue golden retriever mix. My love for dogs undeniable and I love spending time with them and being able to care for them and exercise and enjoy quality time outside is something that I take seriously. I’ve had dogs from puppy stage to senior stage and will always treat all animals the same and like they are my own. I currently work 8 AM to 4 PM. I usually leave my house around 6:30 in the morning and return home by five with potential of going to the gym.. I am able to take care of dogs before I go to work and after I go to work and on the weekends. I treat all dogs like they’re my own as far as taking care of them. I take my dog myself on several walks a day feed them two times a day as far as roaming the apartment and or my parents house they have the opportunity to do both.

“Nicoletta was really fabulous with my kitties and their care and I appreciate it! Helps she lives local to me so she spent a little extra time with them since she didn't have a big commute home :) I highly recommend hiring her to watch your pets. I will schedule another service when I have to be away from home again!”
“Curt was easy to work with. I have a big dog that I trusted Curt with and a sometimes difficult reactive dog. It is hard to find someone who is patient with my difficult dog so it was nice to be able to get away for the night and know my dogs were safe!!!”

“Rodney took great care of our dogs while we were away on only a few hours notice after our original sitter had to cancel. He took the time to call us beforehand to ask about how to care for our dogs and kept us updated throughout our trip. We’ll definitely be giving him a call next time we are away!”
About: I have 20 years of dog experience, from large breeds to small breeds. I also have experience volunteering at a local animal shelter where feeding, cleaning, walking and playing with the dogs of all sizes was essential. I can be available seven days a week if need be. I am very flexible with my availability. I have no other commitments to keep me from not doing my job. I currently have cats so I change their little boxes daily. I feed them twice a day so they are on a strict feeding routine. When I did have dogs I used to walk them, in addition to having a fenced in yard where they could run and play.

“Joyce was wonderful. Not only was she professional, but she was considerate and kind. She placed value on Max and his needs. In a very short time, she understood Max and cared for him as if he was her own. She was consistent and reliable. I would definitely recommend her and use her services again.”

“Pamela is fantastic! She went above and beyond to make sure my kitty was well taken care of. I highly recommend and will definitely have her sit for me again in the future.”
“Lisa was very accommodating when I had surgery and was unsure of the time I would need her until the day before. She was very communicative and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone and will definitely use her in the future!”

About: Hello there! My name is Donia, but you can call me Nia! I have a passion for animal caretaking and rescue and am pursuing a career in dog grooming while fostering and rescuing in my free time. I am currently working part time at a grooming shop in addition to dog walking and other pet sitting. Believe me, as a dog mom having been held responsible for my pets from the young age of 10, I understand how hard it can be to keep up with the hastle. I have taken care of many different types of pets with different levels of neediness from puppies to elders to special needs dogs and even cats, rabbits, and hamsters. I am known as my neighborhood "dog whisperer". I love providing care for animals in need and would love to give a helping hand to anyone in need. I am also dog and cat first aid certified! Thank you for considering me to help you out and thank you for trusting me with your pets! I am currently working part time and am able to request any day off if given advance notice. I can also care for any animals after work by 3pm. I have a fenced in yard with four friendly dogs, a large home that is able to have separated space if needed. In a client's home I treat their house with respect and leave everything cleaner than when I found it. I treat every single pet as if they were my own!

“Carol was excellent. She responded to my initial request promptly and confirmed the visit one day in advance. She arrived an 1/2hr earlier than scheduled. My dogs took an immediate liking to her. She took plenty of pics and kept me posted throughout the visit. I also want to mention how patient she was with my special need fur-baby Duke. Her patience, attention to detail and persistence is what Duke needed for his “special issue”. Thank you Carol. I will definitely rebook future visits with her.”
About: I have taken care of a wide variety of pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents) my entire life, and currently have two pugs named Cookie and Waffles. I have also worked in a doggy daycare. I am comfortable providing all kinds of care including walking, grooming, watching, feeding, giving medication, and more. I currently am working per diem as a nurse aid, I just finished school and will hopefully be starting my first nursing job in a couple-few months. For now I have the summer open while I am studying and applying to jobs. That being said, my schedule is very flexible and I would be happy to include caring for your pet into it! I currently cannot care for additional pets in my home as I live with others. However, I am open to caring for pets in a clients home. I would like as informative and detailed a description of how clients would like their pets cared for, and plan to follow those instructions completely. I have experience with a variety of pets from dogs, cats, reptiles, rodents, and birds, ranging from young to old. I have the most experience with dogs. I worked at a dog daycare for a few months, so I am familiar with the personalities and care of different breeds. My dogs (Cookie and Waffles) have both had health issues in the past, so I have experience with giving oral medication. I also have basic grooming experience, mostly bathing, ear/face care, and nails (if pet allows, my girls unfortunately need a whole team to get their nails done).
“Barbara was wonderful. She visited Pangur (aka Mama) even before we left for our vacation. She always communicated with us to ease our mind while we were away. I would highly recommend and use Barbara again. And our Mama loved her too!”

I can't say enough good things about Breanna's kind and loving pet sitting! I truly enjoyed her twice-daily updates and many cute photographs. I feel she bonded with my two kitties - when I arrived home from my recent trip, the kitties were happy and relaxed. I would not hesitate to recommend her and to use her services again. Thanks Breanna!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pine Lake Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
