About: I’m on Rover to help you out with any / all your pets needs while you’re away! I work full time as a behaviorist in a public school. I don’t dog train, but I am familiar with any techniques that you may need for your pup! I have 3 dogs and 3 cats of my own. I have experience with all breeds! All mutts and senior pups are welcome. I also have experience administering medication to dogs. All dogs of breeds and age deserve attention and love. I’d love it if you let me love your pets as if they are my own too! Thank you for reading this. I am able to work with the families in terms of what they need. My calendar may not always reflect accurately as my times with my full-time job (human) clients do fluctuate. If it is blocked off it means I am 100% unavailable. I don’t recommend myself in terms of full-on puppy training and 24/7 puppy care due to my schedule but I am versed in the training techniques due to my career. I am available weekends for extra care and staying in your home full time. My pets are well loved and taken care of while I care for others. I will never be able to host in my home, so please consider this! I offer in home care, overnight, daily walks, and check ins. Animals will not be hosted in my home due to a senior dog I have who is on medication. For those reasons, home sitting is only available in terms of long care. I have done walks, trips to stores, parks, yard play, and car trips with fur babies for daily drop ins, walks, or overnight stays!

About: I have 11 years of animal experience. I use to be a manager at a dog boarding facility before I got into vet med. I have no been in veterinary medicine for 10 years. I am currently a veterinary technician at an emergency animal hospital. I do cats and dogs with the occasional pocket pet. CPR and first aid trained. Trained in oral, subcutaneous, and intravenous medications. Great with serious pets and experienced with special needs animals. Can also provide nail trims, anal glands, ear cleanings, and fluid therapy (that’s rx’d by your vet). I have plenty of skills and experience, don’t be afraid to ask if your pet needs something special!

“Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!”

I work 4 days a week and I can stay at your house or drop in for walks I love to be outdoors especially with your pups, whether it’s relaxing outside or going for long walks. I treat your pets like my own, I have a fenced in yard and I have experience giving medication, your pet will have the best walks and I offer the best cuddle sessions with your pups or kitties! Your pet will get the best care with me as I treat all pets like my own leaving no one behind, whether your pet likes long walks or just chilling on the couch I'm your girl! If your pet needs meds or any special care just let me know and we will get it done!! I love to interact with your pups and kitties! I love playing games with pups such as “go find it” (it involves treats that are approved by you for your pups and placing them around the house to work their minds) or find me (hide and go seek) and obviously the best walks ever!! If your pets has a favorite movie/show (I know everyone has one) please let me know and I will get that show/movie on ASAP!!! Depending where you are located I love going for walks especially on hiking trails so if your pup likes that we can definitely get that done! If your pup has separation anxiety let me know what soothes them, maybe it's a blanket with your scent or a favorite show/channel they like.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and am a huge dog lover. As I have yet to get a pup of my own, I’ve been sitting for family, friends, and family friends for more than 5 years, where I mainly housesit. I’ve had experience watching dogs of all ages, from grumpy seniors with medication to lively puppies who need extra clean up time, to anxious Covid babies. I am very detail-oriented as I respect that each dog has their personal routine and want to ensure that not much is disrupted for them when I visit/stay. I understand the importance of keeping in contact with owners (only to the extent that you wish to be contacted) throughout the day. I guarantee that I will take plenty of photos of your pet and will be happy to share them! Note: I am based in LES, NYC for the summer. I work fully remotely, so I'm flexible to working with your pet's schedule when housesitting. I'm available for afternoon walks, or to come to housesit from the evenings usually. I'm also willing to travel to housesit (I've travelled to DC before!), though this would require travel coverage as part of compensation. ***For house sits of 1 week or longer, I ask owners to support in covering my meals. Gift cards or a stocked fridge are very much appreciated! *** I tend to ask clients for a document with their pet's daily routine, and how their behaviours are. I will care for your pets as you would advise to care for them in order to maintain consistency and not confuse them. Afterall, I am the guest in staying in their space should I be housesitting. For walks and drop-ins, I would like to also respect your pet's routine and ensure that they are comfortable and at ease.

About: I raised and catered to service dogs and senior dogs and new horns and puppies. I’ve trained show dogs and assisted in training emotional support service dogs. I would love this experience as I will be attending school to become a Vet tech. I have a open schedule to fill up with pets. I make sure to care for all pets the same with love and patience. About: I have had a multitude of dogs, big and small since I was a younger with different personalities. Currently working from home, doing Rover as a side hustle. I have been loving watching peoples pets as I don’t have any pets in my apartment right now so I love spending time and playing with your animals! You set the rules and I follow them, whatever makes you and your pet comfortable I am happy to do. Also, I'm open to doing a meet and greet prior to taking care of your fur baby if that makes you more comfortable! I work a hybrid job, my schedule is 9-5. However, I can be fully remote if need be! Very flexible work schedule, which allows me to go on long walks if your dog likes an adventure :). I can crate your dog if needed, but if not they are to roam my apartment! If you prefer me to be dog sitting at your home, I will abide by any specifications you give. I’ve never owned a cat, but my partner has one, and I’ve spent more time with cats over the last decade through friends as well! I’m experienced in play based activities if your cat likes that, I’ve walked some cats before; I know not all love ;). I also do some drop ins for some people in my building and mainly focus on cat enrichment. Happy to hop on a call to discuss any questions! As I’m currently working from home and my hybrid schedule is pretty lax I can be away from my laptop whenever it works for me. Makes going out on a walk and playing with your pet(s) super easy. Doing drop ins/boarding also is very easy with my schedule. I live in an apartment in a pet friendly building. All animals are allowed on furniture; if that is something you don’t want your fur babies to be in the habit of I can work with any rules you have. If your dog isn’t good around other dogs I’m happy to take precautions!

Best possible solution for a doting cat Mom who has a hard time leaving her only young cat for a few days of desperately needed vacation time. The humans (Aiste and Chris) are both warm, welcoming and accommodating - they sent nice updates with photos that put my mind at ease day after day so I could really unwind. They were happy to follow my lead and met me where I was at with communication, and first longer time away jitters. Lincoln the wonder pup (such a love!!!) - he and my JJ had an amazing time together! My kitty loves people and pups and other cats too. Lincoln and he were an amazing match. They made for great companions and I got such a kick out of seeing them getting to know each other and bond. Warmed my heart and allowed me to relax knowing that JJ was on his own holiday with this great new friend! It was such a relief to have lots of companionship from all 3 (2 people + 1 pup) and updates to know all was going well. I was able to truly enjoy some time away!
