“Rebecca is absolutely amazing. I left her with my cat for 8 days for the first time and I was able to go on vacation without any worries. She took such great care of him and he loved it. I would use her again in a heartbeat, 100% recommended!”
“Nicole and her family were amazing with my Husky. I was worried since it was the first time leaving him with someone he didn’t already know. Her yard is a doggie oasis, they were so loving and attentive and made me feel at ease leaving him while we were on vacation. I will definitely be using her again, 5 star doggie treatment!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Travis went above and beyond anything I could possibly ask for watching my dog for the weekend. He clearly has a passion for animals and a knowledge and experience that go well beyond this brand new account. he will do everything in his power to make your pet feel like they’re in a home away from home when they are in his care.”

“We are very comfortable leaving our little guy with Crystal because we know that he will receive a lot of love and attention and he will be very happy staying with them. This was our 2nd time using Crystal and we will definitely use her again.”

“Luz and Alessandro have been great with my Duchess, she looked happy in their home since the meet and greet, i knew she will like her stay. Plenty of pictures and updates, you can tell by the pics that my pup was comfortable and well taken care of, sleeping on her back is always a good sign of trust. She looked happy, making me happy and able to enjoy my vacations without a worry. I know I can count on them if I need someone to watch my pup.”

About: I have cared for puppies, as well as adult dogs and aging dogs. I love them all and they all sense it when I meet them. I am retired, so I have a lot of time and a very flexible schedule. Also, I am up very early in the morning, and like getting an early start. I have a partially fenced yard, so would be more comfortable with your dog n a leash or inside the house if at my home.
“Angelina took our two puppies last minute. She had them for a week. She sent us pictures. So important! The two pups looked to be very comfortable. One is a 10 month German Shepherd and the other an 11 month Mini Hippo. They are very active. They are now home very well taken care of. I will request Angelina again!!”

“This was the first time Jedi was brought to another home. He was very hyper and active when we first got there. But Jonathan did very well with him. He sent me pictures during the day and I believe that Jedi had a great time. When we brought him home I expected him to run through our house as if to say yay I’m home. But he didn’t…walked in and said I’m home, I had a great day! good night. I would definitely use Jonathan again in the future.”

“Tina was unbelievable! You can tell how much she loves dogs and cared for our dog so well! Our dog went on so many great walks and outings! Highly recommend! Couldn’t be happier with Tina’s care and updates everyday!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Carly took such great care of our dog and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. She kept us updated with frequent messages and adorable photos, which really helped us relax knowing our pup was in good hands. Our dog looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. We’ll definitely be booking with her again — highly recommend!”

“Great experience! Clear communication and frequent updates/ pictures. Ashley and her family were a home away from home for our dog. Will definitely be using her again!”

About: As a life long dog owner, I know how important it is to have someone else in your circle to care for your pets. I have raised my own lab from a puppy and trained her to be the best house dog she can be! I love to be active and on the go! Senior dogs who want to soak up every moment this life has to offer is also in my wheel house. I'm currently working part time as a substitute teacher and I am done for the day around 2:30 pm. I will have evenings free for walks and boarding. I don't have children of my own, so offering services for pets is a way I can contribute to this new community I have found myself in. I have a fenced in yard and access to an open walking path within walking distance of my home. As a PE teacher, I am very active and love to stay moving after school. I have always believed a tired dog, is a happy dog :) I also have experience in nannying and professional organizing, so staying in a client's home is also something I am privy to.
About: Hi my name is Adrianne. I grew up around animals my entire life! Unfortunately, I am unable to have pets of my own right now, so I would love to spend time with someone else’s! I have a large back yard that is unfenced, but I live on the water so this may be an issue for some! However, I am available to go to your home and stay/care for your pet! I love to be outdoors and go for walks and am willing to drive your pet to the beach or park to play! I am currently in school obtaining my Masters Degree in Social Work, interning and working part time! Therefore, I am busy but do have down time during the week and weekends! I treat each animal as my own and will update you on how your dog is doing during their stay/visit with pictures and text messages! Inside my home is mostly hardwood floors with a large rug. This allows dogs to cool themselves off and make themselves comfy on the rug. If you have any questions please contact me, I respond quickly and look forward to hearing from you!

“Fiona is great! Our little Sherlock boy loved her! He is an old man, set in his ways but he was very comfortable with her. She sent pics and updates throughout his stay and even got him new treats. He has a nervous habit of drinking a lot of water when in a new environment. She immediately picked up on it and messaged me and watched him as he settled down into normal drinking levels. Rover and Fiona in particular were a great solution for us while camping at a no-dogs campground.”

“I recently had the pleasure of using Lorraine to care for my dogs, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Throughout the stay, Lorraine kept me updated with regular photos and messages, which provided great peace of mind. It was evident that Brutus and Bella were not only well-cared for but were also enjoying themselves. Lorraine went above and beyond by sticking to Brutus and Bella’s routine, ensuring they received their favorite treats, and even taking them on longer walks than I had expected. The level of care and attention to detail was truly exceptional. I would highly recommend Lorraine to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, and professional dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with Lorraine again in the future. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Brutus and Bella.”

“My Leah is a wonderful dog but can become sad when we leave her. Joanna was amazing!!! She was very interactive with Leah the whole time she cared for her. Took her out on walks and played with her in her back yard. She also kept me updated the whole time. Sent pictures and updates. She really cared for Leah. I would give her more stars if I could. My best experience with a Rover sitter.”

“Sydney was very sweet and very professional. I could tell she took her dogsitting very seriously and could also tell my dog enjoyed being around her. I highly recommend Sydney.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
