“Christina is such a sweet and caring person whom I trusted completely with Harley. She took care of him for 3 separate days. She was prompt and followed my instructions and sent updates and pictures throughout the day. She was available for all the days I needed her for. She was courteous and kept everything in my home neat. She is such a pleasure to work with, and I know Harley was so happy to see her. I definitely plan on hiring Christina again when I need someone to take care of Harley. Thank you!”

“Adrianna did a fantastic job with Archie! We got pictures from her everyday and got daily updates. Would highly recommend Adrianna for anyone who needs someone to watch and/or stay over to watch there pets! 🐶”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I had the pleasure of owning my Golden Retriever, Ginger, for 13.5 years, during which time I provided her with training, socialization, and a loving home. Through my experience with Ginger, I learned the importance of understanding each dog’s unique personality, needs, and comfort level, as well as the care and attention that larger breeds require. Today, I continue my passion for caring for dogs through my local dog walking business, where I provide reliable and personalized care for multiple repeat clients each week. I have experience working with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand how important it is to maintain their routines and make them feel safe and comfortable while they are in my care. I also have my own Golden Retriever, Bella, who is a friendly and social pup who loves meeting new dogs. When boarding, I prioritize finding the right match and only accept dogs who are comfortable in a home environment with Bella. My goal is to provide every dog with the same love, patience, and attention I would want for my own pets. I treat every pup like family and strive to create a safe, happy, and welcoming home-away-from-home experience. I work remotely Monday through Friday, which gives me flexibility during the week to care for your pets. On weekends, I sometimes have events for my small business and love spending time with family. Please feel free to message me your preferred times — I’m happy to work something out that fits both of our schedules! I strive to create a comfortable environment to accommodate your pets needs as much as possible. I'm adaptive, flexible, and willing to work in a variety of different situations.
“Bryan did a great job dog sitting Mikey. We had to cut our trip early due to the snow storm and Bryan was very flexible and took so much stress off our plate. Would highly recommend him to anyone planning a trip - especially dog owners like me who often stress about finding the right person for their pup!”

“Meg was absolutely wonderful with our pups! They loved her the moment they met her. She is definitely a dog person. Meg took pictures of the pups during walks and when they were lounging in the living room. They looked so relaxed and chill, not looking as if they were anxiously missing us. She was very diligent in her care for our pups. We have two senior dogs, and one has special needs and she handled them as a pro. We are looking forward to having her watch them again.”

“Kasper was absolutely phenomenal with my dogs. From the moment we connected, they were communicative, thoughtful, and clearly experienced. They treated my dogs like their own. Patient, attentive, and genuinely caring. I received consistent updates that put my mind completely at ease, and when I came home, my dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. That says everything. It’s not easy to trust someone with your pets, but Kasper exceeded every expectation. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and responsible dog sitter. Thank you, Kasper!! you’re truly amazing!”

“I could not have found a better dog sitter. Lisa was simply amazing. She went above and beyond to ensure. Cappy’s happiness, comfort, and well-being. She was compassionate and empathetic, not only towards Cappy, but to me as well, as I am a recent widow. You will not find a more kind or caring dog sitter. I highly recommend Lisa. I assure you, you will not be disappointed.”

About: I’ve loved animals since I was a little girl and have cared for my own dog since I was old enough. I trained her as a puppy, teaching her tricks and potty training her, and I still walk her every day. Now that she is 15 years old, I also manage her senior arthritis care by administering her daily supplements and medication. Additionally, I had a pet cat for the majority of my teenage years who I cared for devotedly. I managed the litter box, provided food and water, and gave plenty of love, attention, and playtime. I have also pet-sat for family and friends many times before. I’m currently a college student with my AA, working toward my BS in Biology, and I am looking for a part-time job where I can put my lifelong experience in pet care to good use! For the remainder of the summer, I have completely open availability! I am home every day, so your pet will receive 100% undivided attention, lots of playtime, and potty breaks. Starting September 1st, I will transition into being a full-time university student. I have 1-3 morning classes from Monday-Thursday, so my afternoons and weekends are completely free! I have a fully fenced-in yard that is perfect for sunbathing, potty breaks, and zoomies! I also have one very friendly, calm dog. My home is create-free so your pet will have lots of comfortable space to lounge in. (If your dog is crate trained and prefers it, you are welcome to bring their crate along for a safe space!) For care in your home, I will treat your space with respect and care. My top priority is keeping your dog's routine consistent and stress-free. I can stick to specific feeding times, walking routes, and provide company to make you and your pet feel safe, secure, and loved while away!

“Charlotte was amazing with our 2 dogs! We’ve had not so great experiences with dog sitters in the past and we are SO happy to have found Charlotte for both dog sitting in our home and drop ins. She treated our home like her own and kept it so clean and helped bring in our many packages. Our dogs can be very challenging, both high energy and anxious with new people. She was so patient and they loved her immediately! She kept us in the loop with photos and any updates for anything going on with them. We could not recommend her enough and will absolutely be using her for all of our future trips and drop in needs!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Silverton
Jill was a lifesaver for us! We needed someone on short notice to stay with our senior girl who needs a bit of special care. Jill was amazing with her, gave her all her meds, even fed her by hand and let her snuggle in bed. She kept in close contact (which I specifically requested) and sent photos throughout the day. We will absolutely book her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Silverton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Silverton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Silverton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Silverton. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
