“Stephanie is fantastic! When my husband and I lived in silverlake, she walked our dog Giuseppe weekly and she was reliable, on-time, and Giuseppe loved her! We loved that he was in such great hands. Highly recommend Stephanie. Thank you for all you did, Stephanie!”

“Brendon was awesome! He was able to take my pup on a last-minute walk, covered a lot of ground, and gave me a nice, detailed and entertaining report once he was done. Will definitely use him again!”

About: Hi, I’m Nico! I’m a grad student at UCLA’s film school, and I’ve been in L.A. for about 5 years. Aside from caring for personal pets, I’ve been a consistent and reliable dogsitting resource for many friends (here in L.A. and back in Texas). Graduate school allows me plenty of time to care for and attend to all the adorable dogs in my social circle! - I get along with all personalities. So whether your dog is high energy and constantly in the mood to play, or whether your dog likes to be a couch potato and kick back, I can easily match their vibe. - My girlfriend and I fostered a “classic canine” (9 y/o +) so I’m experienced with administering medications and keeping strict routines. FUN FACT: I recently had to bathe and blow dry a dog that was skunked at night. The dog’s owners later said neither the house nor the dog’s coat smelled like skunk. 🤯 - I’m committed to making sure you feel confident in your choice of dog sitter/walker, and I know you’ll be happy with my services. :) I’m currently a grad student in the midst of writing my dissertation. This means I make my own schedule with very few strict time commitments during the week. A normal day for me consists of writing in the morning, a long walk in the afternoon, and reading/editing in the evening. All this to say, I really enjoy having a little buddy 🐶 by my side throughout the day. I am deeply cognizant of any potential hazards for your pet; I like to discuss any specific hazards or concerns you have while your dog is with me. That could be anything from being mindful of open doors, to a strict diet, to keeping pets from teething at their stitches from a recent surgery.
“KC is such good vibes. Lupe loved him from the start. They walked a long distance in a short time and she came straight to nap after their walk, an epic success. Will definitely hit him up again! Thanks a ton KC!”

“Booked Hannah last minute and she was great. Showed up on time. My dog Jelly can be difficult with meeting new people, but Hannah understood and my dogs barking didn’t phase her. When Hannah brought back Jelly, Jelly went to her bed and passed out. Definitely using her again. Hopefully next time, it isn’t as warm out. Thanks Hannah!”

“My dog absolutely LOVES Jessica, and she doesn’t like everyone. Jessica is dependable and a great communicator. She gives great updates on their walks and I always know my dog is safe. I would highly recommend Jessica to anyone! She truly is great.”

About: I'm the sitter who lets your pet come to me on their terms — because I know trust is earned, not assumed. I grew up in a house with five cats and one Doberman, so I've spent basically my whole life reading feline body language and figuring out what makes each one tick. I love the little rituals: figuring out if your cat's a chin-scratch or belly-rub type, learning their favorite napping spot, and sticking to their routine so nothing feels different while you're gone. I'm happy just hanging out. Cats are where my heart is, but growing up with a dog too means I'm comfortable with feeding, walks, and big-personality energy as well. (P.S. I’m steps from a walking trail and dog park 🐶) Pet care is baked into my daily rhythm — mornings start with feeding and check-in time, evenings wind down with cuddles. I’m dad to one very large, very fluffy Norwegian Forest Cat, so I already live the routine: feeding schedules, weekly brushing (that coat is a full-time job), and reading his “pay attention to me now” cues. I watch for the small signals that show how a pet is really doing — pinned ears, a low tail, pacing instead of settling, changes in appetite. I always double-check doors and windows are secure, since that’s when pets are most likely to slip out. At home, my cat (cat and dog friendly) has his own quiet space, so any guest pet can decompress without pressure to interact. I’m also comfortable with medication, dietary restrictions, and adjusting my approach based on a pet’s age or anxiety level — because good care isn’t one-size-fits-all.
“MInh was INCREDIBLE. She walked my dog every day for a week and my dog loved her. She sent lots of pictures and updated me on the goings on of the walk and how my dog was doing. She took great care with both my dog and my house and I be hiring her again in the future. Plus she was super kind and had a great energy about her. Thanks Minh!”

About: I grew up with dogs and am an all-around animal lover. I’ve been pet-sitting for the past 5 years. I’m doting, consistent with walks, schedules, and playtime, and very clean and neat. I am about to start grad school, and will have free time when I am not in classes to walk and care for pets! I love being active, and am happy to go on meandering walks with lots of sniffing stops, fast walks/runs, and everything in between! I treat pets with lots of care, love, and attention. I am good at keeping their routines, giving lots of playtime and/or structure. I am very respectful of other’s homes. I will keep things neat and tidy.
About: I grew up with dogs and cats, taking care of and training them. Since then, I’ve looked after all kinds of pets—cats and dogs of all sizes—for friends and family over the years. Whether it’s pet sitting, walking, boarding, or just stopping by to check on them during the day, I make sure they have everything they need. I’ve also given medication and special care, always following the owners' instructions. I’m a freelancer, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I often have days with no work, and I’d love to dedicate that time to pet care! I create a comfortable environment with familiar toys and routines. I stick to their feeding schedules, take them for regular walks, and provide plenty of playtime and attention. For pet sitting at a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely regarding feeding, walking, and any necessary medication. I also make sure their space is clean and safe, and I like to send pictures and texts to keep the owners updated on how their pet is doing. Overall, my goal is to ensure the pets feel happy and secure.

About: I’m a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate person with a flexible schedule. I’m passionate about caring for pets and treat every animal with kindness, patience, and respect. As a member of the community, I value privacy, professionalism, and respect for every client. I’m bilingual and speak both English and Spanish. I also offer home cleaning services with personalized quotes based on your needs. My goal is to provide exceptional service and earn your trust from day one. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits whenever possible. Whether you need regular walks or last-minute pet care, I’ll do my best to work around your schedule and provide dependable, reliable service. I provide attentive, loving care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. I follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of affection. I also make sure your home is respected and left clean and secure while you’re away, giving you peace of mind that your pet is in caring, reliable hands.
About: I have a decade of experience dog-walking and pet-sitting for dogs. I'm caring, kind, attentive and patient. I love going on walks and giving dogs the best experience. I'm a writer who takes a lot of walks already! It's something I'm flexible doing and would love to take dogs with me. As a cat-owner myself, always happy to take care of cats too :) It's important to listen carefully to owner instructions, and makes sure you're doing everything they say in regards to their dog (or cat's) routine. We want them to feel loved and cared for!
About: Reece and I (Olivia) grew up with dogs & cats and are very familiar with the responsibility it takes to keep them safe and happy. We don't currently own any pets but we have experience fostering & pet sitting. Olivia has been a dog walker and provided overnight, in-home dog care. We lead an active lifestyle and have the energy necessary for exercising energetic dogs. We'd love to take your dog on hikes or just a meandering walk if that’s more their style. Reece and I have loved dogs all our lives and spending time with them is one of our favorite activities. :) I (Olivia) currently work four days per week while Reece works remotely from home full time so your pet would almost always have company while at home. We often go to the park / hike after work & in our free time - we'd love to include your pup in these activities! We live in an apartment with no fenced yard, unfortunately. Reece and I both have flexible schedules which would allow at least one of us to be home with your pet at almost all times so we can accommodate frequent walks and bathroom breaks if needed.
About: We're writers and seasoned pet lovers/carers who live in a two-bedroom apartment in Silver Lake with a bucolic fenced in yard. We're ready to love-bomb your pup and ply them with as many treats as they are allowed to have. Senior pups and youngins welcome. We'll toss balls or play tug of war or lounge around. Your pup's wish is our command. We recently said goodbye to our pup of 17+ years and miss tail wags and dog antics. We only host one pup at a time and that way we give your pup all our love and full attention during their stay. We both work from home, and are active folks who love to go on long walks around the neighborhood, or chill on the couch if that's what your pup prefers. We also have a closed-in yard with birds visiting the feeders and fountain, and we enjoy sitting outside with a furry friends on nice days. We just said goodbye to our furry bestie after 17+ years together and suffice it to say, our lives revolved around him. Be it cooking him gourmet meals from scratch, taking him on multiple walks a day, or strolls in a cart when his legs became too weak, we were always together. We miss having dog energy in the home and would be thrilled to cuddle up or pal around with your pup. We have central AC and Heat too, so if your pup gets hot or cold, we're on the case.
“It’s been several weeks of using Hannah and she’s great! We pretty much trusted her after our first meet & greet to enter and leave our home unsupervised. Friendly, pleasant, and attentive to instructions we had, is reliable and communicative. Most important, our dog liked her right away, and she’s been posting adorable pics every time she walks him. He’s a large breed and strong and occasionally reactive to other dogs, but Hannah is able to manage him. We are so appreciative!”

“Alyssa is very personable and was attentive to the instructions I gave her about not only walking the dog, but also about getting in and out of my apartment (which can be tricky). I appreciate her communication and will continue to use her services.”

About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve regularly pet-sat for friends and family, fostered animals, and provided attentive care for pets of all ages. I’m comfortable administering medications and following specific routines to ensure pets feel safe and well cared for. I’m also able to stay multiple days with pets when needed. I currently have a 15-year-old dog, so I’m especially patient, attentive, and experienced with senior pet care. I treat every animal like my own and prioritize comfort, consistency, and love. I work fully remote, which allows me to be flexible with my location and spend plenty of time with the pets I’m caring for as long as I have internet access. My job isn’t overly demanding, so I’m able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day, including feeding, walks or playtime, medication, and companionship. This flexibility allows me to easily stay multiple days with pets and maintain their normal routines while their owners are away. I care for pets by prioritizing consistency, comfort, and attention to their individual needs. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, medications, walks or playtime, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. I make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their environment by giving them plenty of companionship, monitoring their behavior and health, and adjusting care as needed. With my own senior dog, I’m especially attentive to signs of discomfort or changes in behavior, and I bring that same level of patience and care to every pet I look after.

John M has a very gentle manner that won over our 15-year-old Chiweenie by the second visit. It was hard for us to trust somebody to not just yank her around and try to get her to bend to their will when all I really want for my little lady-old-lady-baby is a little intellectual stimulation - sniffing around and getting some fresh air. We really appreciate John and his delightfully sweet-natured vibe and trust him to get all of her nonverbal communication!

Matthew is the best!!! The pups took an immediate liking to him and he took amazing care of our dogs. Matthew did an excellent job communicating prior to the booking and gave us some good notes for walking our little ones. And the pictures were adorable! We will definitely be booking with him again.
Alex was by far the best sitter/waller that we have interacted with so far on Rover. She was simple and easy to talk to and quick to respond. She let us know how Pip was doing at every step along the process. We would love to book with her again if allowed to in the future.

SARA is an amazing dog walker. She dealt with our dog not wanting to walk and got him out of the house having a blast. Could not recommend her more for any pet sitting or dog walking needs. She’s a great bright amazing person with wonderful energy and an ability to communicate with animals unlike anybody else on this app, she’s the best.
