“We booked Pam to stay with our dog while we went out of state for my stepdaughter's wedding after another sitter had to change plans due to surgery. Pam was wonderful! Raider is a weirdo and will refuse to warm up to sitters. Pam kept in constant communication letting me know how things were going and asking how she might get him to warm up. He often does not eat for my spouse and me so I wasn't surprised that he was not eating for her. Pam cooked bits of steak to put on his food twice (and offered to go buy one but we happened to have steak in the freezer) - which got him to eat after two days of refusing. Pam is very kind and really cares about the pets she sits. She also left our house spotless. It was especially wonderful to come home to clean sheets! I am very grateful Pam took such good care of Raider so we could enjoy the wedding festivities!”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was born (and as of 3 years ago, I consider myself a cat person now too!) I can never see myself not having a pet at any time in my life. So i would love to get to know and care for your babies as well as you do! I currently work full-time at an animal hospital, and I do work 3 12 hour shifts. The days of the shifts are different every week. However, I do get my schedule a month in advance, so just ask if I’m available for whenever you may need! I take the safety of my/clients pets very seriously. I am comfortable with administering any medication that may be needed. I am also comfortable with crating your pets, as well as putting any gear you may require them to wear (i.e. a harness, a basket muzzle(for those who don’t play well with others on walks), any cold weather attire). I will treat them as if they are my own!

About: Hello! My name is Brooklyn Elwood, and I am currently home for the summer before starting vet school! I have experience pet sitting for dogs, cats, livestock, and some exotics. I graduated with a degree in microbiology from Iowa State University and am now going to vet school in Minnesota. I have plenty of experience in case of medical emergencies, and I know how imperative it is to have a sitter who loves your animals like their own. I look forward to meeting you and taking care of this little piece of your family! Right now, I am home for the summer and work for the USDA during the day. I can stay at your home to ensure your pet isn't alone! I will be in Illinois until the end of August. Your pets' safety and comfort are of the utmost importance to me, and I will go to any length to ensure that they are happy and healthy in my care. While with your pet(s), I will monitor their behavior to determine if they are experiencing discomfort and will notify you immediately with any concerns. Moreover, I can crate your pet at night if you wish or they can sleep with me if allowed. I will make sure that your pet(s) gets plenty of mental stimulation through playtime or training (and also LOTS of love and attention!!).
