“Laurie has been great with my 12 year old puppy Mo! She’s made adjustments for his new health needs and was extremely communicative and flexible. Would hire her again!”

“Kyle is awesome!! I can tell that he really cares and takes his time with my boy! Despite my boy's troubles with reactivity, it doesn't prevent Kyle from giving Hufflepuff a great walk!! I appreciate him a bunch!”

About: I like for dogs to smell my hands upon entering a home. This is my trick for creating a safe environment for both the dog and myself in their home. I am currently job hunting, so caring for your furry friend serves as a perfect anchor and structure for my day. I am available for dog walking and client home visits on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays after Noon and before 5pm. When caring for pets in a client’s home, consistency and maintaining their familiar environment are my top priorities. I strictly follow the owner’s feeding schedules, dietary restrictions, and medication needs to ensure the animal’s physical health. I dedicate time to play, daily walks and plenty of affection to keep them comfortable while their owners are away.
About: Every pet is different! I emphasize individualized care and consistent communication with the owner. Pictures and updates will be plentiful if requested. I am always looking to make some new animal friends! I moved to this area for graduate school and have stayed as I begin my career in the mental health field. I also work part time as a dance teacher and have a background in EMS but love to spend my free time with animals whenever I can! I was experienced in dog sitting in my home state and hope to continue that in this new location. Communicating with the owner is essential. Listening, knowing, and learning the animal is so important. I take the time to ensure I do all those things!
About: I grew up with dogs, always having at least one in my family’s household. Before fully moving into my own apartment, I rescued my fur baby. For the past three years, he has been the most loving companion, and I’m so lucky that he’s mine. Taking care of my dog (and yours) is one of the greatest privileges of my life. I am committed to providing excellent care and unconditional love to these sweet pets. I’m currently a full-time, devoted stay-at-home dog mom and sitter. I’m available throughout the week and most weekends. With enough of a head’s up, I am happy to accommodate to whatever you and your fur baby’s needs are! I live in a one-bedroom apartment in a walk-friendly neighborhood. I walk my dog 3-4 times a day, going on a few different routes around the neighborhood. I would happily walk your dog as frequently as needed. My dog is rather calm and lazy, but when he’s feeling playful, I’ll gladly drop what I’m doing to play with him with his various toys. There are also several dog parks in the area that I am happy to walk to so that my dog (and yours) can run around freely. Whatever you and your dog’s needs are, I’ll gladly work to accommodate.
“Bailey has been amazing with our dog for the past year and we were so lucky to find someone so thoughtful and caring. Our dog was always so happy in every picture from her walks and we always got detailed reviews. Bailey was also fantastic with giving us multiple week notices when she would be out of town, which is very helpful. We could not recommend Bailey enough!”

“Angela was amazing walking my dog Levy! Was very attentive and took care of all her needs. Levy loved her as well! Definitely recommend if you’re in need of a great dog walker.”

“Joanna is an incredible daily walker for my pup! She always leaves the most detailed notes, always follows care instructions, and even does training with him! We love Joanna and will continue to book with her!”

About: My family had a dog when I was born and I've been around them ever since. I have lots of experience staying with dogs overnight and I may love walks and play as much as they do. I also worked as a veterinary assistant at one time. Comfortable administering meds. I'm not currently employed so my schedule is fairly flexible. I'm taking a class 9am-3pm on Saturdays in July and August but that's really the only limitation I have right now. I adhere to the instructions laid out for petcare and will text if I have any questions or concerns. I try to maintain the pet's routine and avoid disruption in their life as much as possible, since I know it can be a stressful situation for them. I'm extremely respectful of other people's spaces and try to leave them in better condition than when I arrived.
“Paula has been walking Benny a few times a week since early March and she’s been absolutely wonderful. She is VERY reliable, responsive and trustworthy. I know that Benny is in great hands with her. She sends thoughtful and detailed updates after her walks along with lots of pictures (which I love!) - it makes such a difference knowing how everything went. As a naturally anxious dog mom (Benny is my first pup on my own) I really appreciate the care and consistency she brings. It genuinely puts me at ease. I can always tell Benny has had a good walk because his energy is so more settled when I get home from work. Paula clearly really cares and treats pets with so much love. I highly recommend her! - Andrea & Benny the mini dachshund 🐾”

“Rachel is amazing and she is a miracle worker with Leela. She loves seeing Rachel and gets so excited for her walks. Leela can be dog reactive and Rachel does well with managing her craziness. I know Leela is safe and happy when she's with Rachel. I highly recommend her and use her for the majority of my dog walking needs.”

“Hilary was great with our pug! She was reliable and provided updates and was even able to get our girl back in her crate after her walk, when she can be a bit stubborn. She was communicative and made booking and everything easy! Will definitely book Hilary again!”

About: Hello! I truly care for every dog like they’re my own. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pup. I regularly care for my neighbor’s golden retriever and have experience handling different temperaments and energy levels. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’m patient, observant, and always prioritize a pet’s comfort and safety. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and committed to making every visit a positive one for both pets and their people! I’m a college student based in New York during the school year, but I return home to Virginia for breaks like summer, Thanksgiving, spring and winter. During those times, I have a very open and flexible schedule, which allows me to fully focus on pet care. I love spending my break bonding with animals and giving them the time and attention they need! Feel free to reach out anytime I’m always happy to share my current availability and see if I can accommodate your needs! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their usual routine so the pet feels comfortable and safe. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and bathroom breaks, while also keeping things clean and calm. I pay close attention to each pet’s needs and whether they’re energetic or more laid-back and I always check in with updates so owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.
“Patrick has been a tremendous help with my dog’s midday walk. He is reliable, shows up even when it is raining, and gives me helpful updates so I know what has happened on the walk. Definitely recommend him.”

Seminary Hill dog parents share their Rover experiences
Max was great. Went above and beyond both days we used his services. Day One went a little awry with one of our dogs getting injured (through no fault of Max's!) And he communicated immediately and even waited with our dogs until we were able to make it home even though he didn't have to. Would highly recommend Max and would use him again in the future.

Hilary did a great job taking care of Mona while we were away. Communication was excellent, she was reliable, and it was clear Mona was comfortable and happy in her care. Mona is 17 and has a few extra needs, including medication, and Hilary handled everything perfectly. We came home to a happy dog and had complete peace of mind while we were gone. We’d absolutely book with her again.

Vianca is a rockstar and I can't say enough good things about her. She is a wonderful human and loves animals and they in turn love her. She is attuned to the needs of my senior princess and I feel so comfortable with leaving my squishy baby with Vianca. She is the best!

Rachel was flexible and communicative. Sirena loved her from the second she met her which means a lot to us since she’s a nervous girl. She was sure to communicate all the things Sirena had done with her as well as asked questions if anything came up. We definitely recommend her and will use her again :) thank you Rachel !

Albedardo is such a genuine and trustworthy guy! We love him and so do our pups! Our little dogs are like our children so we need to be sure that anyone we entrust their care to is going to treat them with love and kindness. Albedardo does this and then some. Absolutely top class young man, super reliable and flawless communication always keeping us informed of even the tiniest details so that we’re never left wondering how the visit went and how the dogs are doing when we’re not there. Highly recommended!

Ann went above and beyond. Bandit was having an off day and there were several unexpected challenges throughout the visit, but she handled everything with patience, kindness, and professionalism. Rather than rushing him, she took the time to earn his trust and make sure he was comfortable before heading out. Her communication was excellent, despite me being unavailable to answer questions while I was with my trainer, and it was clear she genuinely cared about Bandit’s wellbeing. I’m incredibly appreciative of the extra effort she put in and would gladly book her again.
